"Mom, that's enough." The little filly snapped, interrupting her mother's lengthy tale. "I don't wanna listen to any more of this."

As soon as her mother got to this point, Baby Applejack immediately hopped off of her mother's lap, and immediately trotted over and sat down to play with her pony doll. the little filly brushed her dolly's mane, all the while angrily glaring at her mother.

"What... what's the matter, Apple Blossom?" Applejack asked in shock. "Why don't you want to hear the rest rest the story?"

"No I don't, cause I know where this story is going!" Baby AJ snapped at her mom, trying to hold back her anger. "The big bad girly Ponyville ponies managed to magically brainwash the poor helpless tomboy, cause everything pink and girly is totally evil to you, isn't it, mom?"

"Now that's just not fair, sugar cube." AJ protested, looking at her daughter sadly. "The magic field around that town effected our minds! I was just trying to-"

"Oh, come off it, ma! You just can't stand anything that reminds you that you're a girl!" The orange filly snapped back. "Or why else did you get me a toy seed shovel for my fourth birthday, when I wanted a 'little frilly princess' make-up set? Or every time I wanted to have a tea party and dress up in pretty outfits, you ran off and Aunt Glory had to play with me?!" The little filly glared at her. "Face it mom, you think the fact I'm not a tomboy like you is horrible, and you wish you had been born a stallion!"

"That's not true at all! I don't hate the fact I'm a lady!" Applejack snapped loudly, making her daughter jump. "Maybe once, when I was younger and more pig-headed I hated bein' all fru-fru. But after fate smacked me around for a few good hundred years, I'm just as girly as Glory is now." The old earth mare just shook her mane. "Life literally beat the tomboy out of me. And somewhere out there, I'm betting that old fashionesta is laughin' at me, for the way I acted as Applejewel."

Both ponies sat there in silence for a few minutes, looking away from each other. Finally, it was Baby Applejack who stood up and spoke.

"I'm sorry, ma... I didn't mean to insult you like that!" The apologetic little filly climbed back into her mother's lap. "Please, go ahead an' tell me what happened next?"

"Well, don't think I hated them being all feminine an' girly mares, I could've lived with- and even enjoyed- that. But these mares seemed to take it to an almost bizarre level. I mean, they never got mad at ANYTHING, they were always smiling and happy at everything!" AJ gave a shiver, thinking back on that point in her life with both fondness and revulsion. "As I said, the town's magical aura brought out the more childlike aspects of my personality I had always suppressed. And I was right there beside the others, sippin' tea and playing dress up and acting like I was five again."

"So what did you do in Ponyville?" Baby AJ asked curiously. "Did you get another new job while you were there?"

"Whelp. as I said before, Sweet Apple Acres was gone, so my cousin Apple Spice took me in. Pinkie Pie, Dashie and I made fast friends, and Pinkie even found me a job as the pony who put together the picnic baskets for the town's festivals and parties." Applejack replied, remembering those bygone days. "See, in the years after I had left, the whole town had become a giant live-in amusement park, and an enchantment had been placed over the entire town that made all the ponies act childlike. So I tried to just fit in in this new Ponyville as best I could, but I didn't know how more familiar faces waiting for me in this new age."

"Familiar? You mean you met more ponies who resembled your old buddies?" Her daughter asked.

"That's right, sugar cube. The was still the Rarity and Fluttershy she has spoken about, and I'm sure there was a Twilight somewhere out there. But unbeknownst to me, there was a certain little dragon from my past, who was already living in the town before I had returned."

Applejack then trailed off from her story, and looked to the recently-repaired door to her room.

"It's okay, I know you're there, and you can come out now!" The orange mare called out to someone she obviously believed was standing outside her apartment, and listening to her story. "We're almost to the part of the story where you come in!"

Everything was silent for a moment, before the handle clicked, and the door slowly sung open. A small purple Dragon slowly stepped into the room, smiling sheepishly at the two orange ponies.

"Spike?!" Baby Applejack asked in disbelief. "What the hay are you doing here?!"

"Sorry ladies, didn't mean to disturb you." The dragon laughed nervously. "But I always love hearing about the story where I ran into Applejack again, after all those years."

"Wow, Spike!" The little filly exclaimed, her eyes going wide. "I didn't know you were there with my mama!"

"Why, indeed I was, Baby Applejack!" The baby dragon exclaimed, switching back to his posh personality he had back in the Ponyville era. "And if your mother will allow it, I should like to continue the story for you, my own self..."
