Silver Faces Fear (Again)... and sends it away?

Silver Fall was sleeping in the cloud bed next to her husband, the thought of that always set her heart a flutter. She was sleeping, her dream was wondrous with her and him being surrounded by dozens of foals that all were some sort of mix of pony and dragon (of various ages, all healthy and happy). It was one of the happiest dreams of her life, considering the full extent of her life that is saying something. She was nuzzling a little red filly with her father's wings and legs with her mother's tail and horns complimenting her black mane.

All of a sudden the dream changed Silver was alone, she started feel like something was wrong. She then heard a voice that sounded like hers in the kind of tone and accent her father usually used, “worry not,” said the voice, this will be be brief so that you may return to dream of happiness. You now are able to unleash the power of your potential, your form shifting and ice breath were merely the beginning.”
“What do you mean?” asked Silver with fear and concern.
A circle of elemental representations surrounded the dragoness before the voice said, “you wield the power ice, and have since your youngest days,” a dragon shaped snowflake the size Silver Fall floated passed by her, “ice is the element of serenity and sorrow,” the snowflake pulled away, “you hold potential of fire from your mother,” a flame her size moved in next to the dragoness, “fire is the element of anger and passion, you will one day be required to call on this power, you will know when the time comes,” the flame moved away, “as well as the rest of the elements, you have the power of mist from your father,” a silvery mist cloud came up to the dragoness, “the time to use this will come much later than the others,” it moved away, “the power of lightning surges through you,” a storm cloud with an unending lightning storm moved in next her, “it awaits a release it believes comes soon,” the lightning storm moved away, “the power of strong winds also blows through you,” a twirling wind devil the size the dragoness next her, she could feel it blowing and pulling at her to a small degree, “when the time you will let it howl from deep within yourself.”

With that the dream changed back to her cuddling the mass of foals with Lightning Twist.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It had been almost a year since she had met Lightning Twist and Silver Fall was already tied to stallion. Their wedding had only been three months prior, and the two weren't yet sure how they should go about trying have foals. Mostly because Silver wasn't sure if she should go through the process in her dragon or pony form. She told Lightning that she planned had on having the foals in pony form, mostly because having them in dragon form would probably be more time consuming than the pony version and in all likelihood would take longer. She was going to discuss with her friends this time over cards, Capture the Crown had become their new favorite (mostly because of aspects of the game that let them get their frustration with system out).
The sound of Silver talking to herself in a cheery voice, something that the cavern she once called home would consider foreign, “alright, where'd I stash those cards?... Ah, there you are my little friends!” Her Pearl held firmly in her tail, she still wasn't sure who to entrust the gem to (considering the temptations it presented). Silver heard a faint howl that sent a chill down her spine, “oh no, it's here again,” she said with genuine worried voice before stashing the deck and her pearl in place she knew was secure. After making sure both were secure she left the cave while saying, “mental note find out out long these Ancestor Forsaken manifestations of fear live, next time this thing shows up whatever I do to it now will be a delight.
After walking out into arid lands that were just past her cave she saw it, it was just as she remembered. The creature was a pure dog the half the size of a standard pony with glowing red eyes. When she got closer she saw the two sets of fang like teeth extending from the upper and lower jaws near the front of its maw. It's paws were large with the claws extending twice as far as a normal dog, it's tail was long enough to stop a good four inches from the ground and bristled in a menacing manner at all times. It was all just as Silver Fall remembered the beast, even the translucent drool that alternated between having green and red tints.
“Hello again creature of fear,” said Silver Fall, “to what do I owe this intrusion into my personal life. The creature said nothing, it didn't even howl at her.
After almost ten minutes of staring each other down the hound rushed forward and sank it's protruding fang-like incisors into her right foreleg. The dragoness (in her natural state and currently pony size) gasped as her eyes were suddenly filled with image of foals of various ages across the landscape all unmoving in as still death. She just stood there for a full ten minutes with sorrow in her eyes. Then her horns began to turn into burning crimson as the wrath of a mother denied her children filled her. Once her horns were completely dyed the flaming crimson (a process that only took about ten seconds) the image dead hybrid foals across the landscape disappeared from her eyes and she looked straight at the hound, which had just been sitting there and not even tried to anything else.
A burning, seething rage filled Silver's voice as she decided to say one more thing to the hound, “you think it's amusing for me see the one thing I've been worrying myself sick about before my eyes,” she sent a blast of ruby crimson flames at the hound that landed at the creatures feet, “that was the warning shot, leave now or face something worse. And if we ever see each other again I'll give you a punishment far worse even my rage fueled mind could ever dare to hope for.
The hound turned and ran, not in fear (it's hard to say what emotion made the hound listen to her words and sprint away). Once the hound was out of site the crimson left Silver's horns and they were once again their gorgeous snowy white. Silver blinked a few times, she looked at the spot she spat a fireball and the dream that had interrupted her dream the night before came rushing back. She did the only thing she could think in such a situation, she laughed all the way back to her cave to retrieve her pearl and deck.
Back at home Silver told Lightning about the dream in as much detail as she could muster and then told him about her encounter with the hound. To his credit Lightning Twist kept his cool the entire time, his sister (who decided to make a surprise visit, who showed up half way through Silver describing the dream about elemental powers) on the other hoof had a massive geek-out moment at the end of both stories.
“Star, what are you doing here?” asked Silver Fall in her most polite tone after finishing both stories, “I was trying to have a moment with my husband.”
“Sorry,” said Star Tome, “something happened at the Academy that forced a closure, so I'm off work for a while. Mom and dad said I should give you two a surprise visit, and unfortunately I thought that was a good idea at the time.”
“We had the doors locked,” said Lightning Twist.
“And the windows,” said Silver, “we also had all the locks changed within seventy three hours of moving here, how is it your parents were able to give you a serviceable spare key to our doors?”
“Oh, um,” said Star Tome, “dad was in Canterlot and somehow managed to convince a unicorn in the Royal...”
“Guard to teleport you here,” Silver finished, “were they a mare or a stallion?”
“Stallion,” said Star Tome.
“Bright Orange with a dark brown mane and tail?”
“Um, yes,” he had just gotten off duty when dad ambushed him.”
Silver gave an exhasperated sigh before saying, “your dad bullied Dawn Tree into teleporting you, he's always been good at teleportation magic. We're going to have to talk with your father about his conduct.”
Lightning and Star just stared at Silver for a few minutes before Lightning said, “you were able to figure who it was by just asking two questions, that's a little scary.”
“Not as scary as that encounter she described,” said Star Tome, “sorry you had to see something as gruesome as that, most ponies would have complete breakdown at that kind of sight.”
“What do you think my rage fueled fire breathing was?” said Silver Fall as she assumed her natural form, “I'm going to bed, breathing fire for the first time burns up more energy than you would think.” With that Silver was out of the room and heading to master bedroom she shared with Lightning Twist, as she shut the door before heading to bed she heard the sounds of 'friendly' sibling quarrel, but at this point she had little concern for such things and just wanted to sleep.
