"Ah, Philomena, my pet. You're awake. Do say hello to our gracious hosts."

Fluttershy looked at the horrific shape Celestia's bird was in. "Oh... my."

Celestia grinned. "She is quite the sight, isn't she?"

"I... I... I've never seen anything like it." Fluttershy couldn't stop staring.

As Celestia leaned away to whisper with one of her guards, Twilight took the opportunity to remedy the situation. "It's a phoenix, Fluttershy. It's supposed to look like that sometimes."

"Oh." Fluttershy blinked. "Thank goodness." She stared off into space for a moment. "How did I not know that? I thought I knew about all kinds of creatures."
