It was after midnight in Equestria, and most everypony decided to 'sack out' on the floor in Princess Twilight's new Library. Even with book-shelves quickly filling up with books, it was easily large enough for such gatherings. Well Princess' new Castle was just big.
I sent my Twin (Equestria pony Shysage) to the house, and told him to try and get some sleep. I explained that I didn't have my 'scope' here yet, so I needed to hang around.
Twins quickly scattered all over the room, and most talked quietly together.
Still, groups quickly formed, and this bothered nopony.
The Celestia and Luna Twins found a quiet corner, talked together briefly, and were quickly asleep. All four of them were beat. They all carried a lot of responsibility.
The Pinkie Pie, Applejack and Rainbow Twins talked together for a little while, discussed possibilities for tomorrow here in Equestria, then they were quickly asleep too, Twin next to Twin.
Well, Twins always sleep this way.
Both Summers and their real sisters hugged and cried together for a long time. Then the four of them Soul-Linked together for over an hour, then they all fell asleep.
The Twilights, Raritys, Filias and Fionas were all crowded together, and the Twilights and Raritys quietly answered a seeming endless stream of more strange and amazing questions about each other's world. The Twilights and Raritys were also learning alot too.
It looked like a lot of 'Twin' fun, and it was a long time before this group went to sleep, but they finally did.
Seeing the Filia and Fiona Twins sleeping next to each other here in Equestria made this stallion CRY... It was absolutely amazing.
When everypony else was asleep, I walked outside. It was probably middle of the night, and the moon was high and bright. This would have been a good night for... Oh well...
I walked over to Summer's Tree, laid down next to Rainbow's memorial garden, and hoped for a 'long nap'. I suspected that was all the sleep I would get.
Maybe two hours later, Princess Twilight woke me up.
She was surrounded by four amazing red-head mares.
"Shysage, can you join us on our walk? I really don't want to wake anypony else up..." Princess asked apologetically.
"Well, I'm no Phantom Alicorn, but I would be delighted to accompany you and keep you safe" I said with a chuckle. I had no magic, and wouldn't be able to do much...
We headed off on a random walk around Ponyville.
First thing, probably Equestria Girls Fiona asked if I was the Shysage that was in Equestria this last week.
I quietly said "Yes."
"Well, your Summer is amazing, just so you know" she said.
I answered honestly "Well, I agree with you there. Still, I think you will find that Summer's Twin is just as amazing. And you will probably get to know her well, too."
It was quiet for a minute, and since I had the opportunity, I asked quietly "Equestria Girls Filia and Fiona, Summer and Fluttershy both encouraged you to come here, as you stood before the Portal. Are you glad you came?"
Both Equestria Girls red-heads started crying and hugged their Twins tightly. I guess that was their answer. I didn't expect much less.
The rest of the time, I walked behind the five of them, and just listened. It really was amazing.
Princess was in no hurry, and walked slowly with two mares on each side.
It was clear that Twin was with Twin, and sisters were on opposite sides. Twins just hug a lot; well girl Twins do.
Princess first explained a little about why she did these walks.
She carefully explained the Fury Boil, and mentioned that it was only visible during early morning hours. It was very dangerous, but 'someponies' had fortunately seen it the first night it arrived. And amazingly, all the Furies were killed, and nopony had to die.
But since then, when she can't sleep, Princess walks, just to keep an eye on her town.
She also laughed as she described some of the things she had encountered on some of her walks. Almost getting run over by 'someponies' was one of them.
Still, it was clear that all four of these young mares were taking this all in very quickly, and asked some amazing questions.
Princess was so thrilled, helping to guide these mares, and never, ever expected to see all four together like this.
I doubted Princess would sleep much while they were all here. I couldn't blame her.
Princess Twilight also mentioned that most of tomorrow, well today already, would be devoted to helping the Equestria Girls red-heads get some Magic instruction under their belts, and maybe getting 'caught up' with their Twins. All four of them were very excited about that.
The walk done, we stopped at the steps to the Castle, and Princess thanked me, then walked inside with the Filia and Fiona Twins.
I turned to head back over to Summer's Tree, to try to get another 'nap' in before the Sun came up.
There was another pony there, I saw this right away.
When I got close... It was Summer...
"I kept your spot warm for you Stallion" she said softly.
I couldn't help it... "Oh, Summer..." I got this much out, then was crying...
She cried with me for maybe five minutes, then I realized we didn't really need to spend our limited time together doing that.
I sighed, and we rubbed noses a few minutes. I sighed again.
"Summer, what would you like to do right now?" I asked softly.
"Just be with you, amazing Stallion..." she said quietly.
I realized that, as much as my Mare had enjoyed her time with the Equestria Girls, it had been hard for her there, too...
"Summer, lets just go for a 'People walk' together. How does that sound?" I said softly.
"Wow, that sounds nice!" she replied softly.
We both got up and changed to our Equestria Girls 'people' form.
As usual, we were wearing the last clothing items we wore before coming here; sneakers, jeans, t-shirt and sweatshirt. Well, it was a warm night, so we left the sweatshirts on a low branch of the tree.
We spent the rest of the early morning hours just walking together, slowly, hugging, talking some.
I explained that I didn't want to just 'jump into' time at the lake; I felt we would be rushed, so we could wait on that. I let her know though, that we could go there right away if she really wanted me to; otherwise we could wait until we had more time.
Summer said this was fine, she just wanted to be alone with me.
I felt the same way.
We walked slowly, 'in step' together so we could hug, and just wandered around in the meadow behind Princess' Castle.
The Moon was bright, but slowly headed towards the West. It was a very beautiful night. Well, my Mare looked beautiful, too. She always does.
Still, after a little discussion about this later, we both learned a very important lesson from our time together early that morning.
Since we had decided together that 'time at the lake' wasn't really an option for now, this really 'freed up' both our ability to simply enjoy being with each other.
At one point, we found a Live Oak tree with low branches, and I leaned up against one of the branches, pulled my Mare close, and we kissed, well, for a long time. Our bodies had already adjusted to the fact that the lake wasn't the goal right now, and we both stayed pretty calm as we kissed.
We kissed so long that we both started crying over how deeply we loved each other...
It's true... I love her so... And kissing in the moonlight like that, free to focus on just her... It was amazing...
As we saw the sky off to the East start to brighten, we wandered back to Princess' Castle, and sat on the steps next to each other (hugging), and watched the Sun come up in the East over Ponyville.
Maybe an hour later, amazing pony friends began to spill out the Castle door, and down the steps into the grass.
Summer and I stood up along the side of the steps, so ponies could pass. We were still 'people'.
I hoped nopony stopped to hug us though, because I knew what would happen.
Well it happened anyway, but for different reasons.
Equestria Girls Filia had 'issues' going down steps as a Pony, and she fell. I can tell you from experience that going down stairs as a pony is not the easiest thing. Maybe seeing two 'people' here in Equestria might have been a factor, too.
But Filia was just as quickly caught by Summer and I.
But when Summer touched Filia's front leg, Equestria Girls Filia turned back into her Equestria Girls form, and was basically laying in Summer and my arms, as a 'people'.
We set her carefully down, after telling her to get ready to turn back into a pony. She was soon safely at the bottom. Her sister made it down without falling.
...
Still, my amazing Mare... This was all her idea, and an amazing tribute.
Summer walked over into the grass some distance from the Castle, and called both Filia's over to her.
Everypony else came too, this was a tight-knit group.
Still a people, Summer carefully reached down, and grabbed one of each of their front legs, near the hoof.
BOTH Filias changed into 'People' right away, and Summer helped them both stand up. Both people now, these Twin girls were quickly hugging each other and crying...
My Mare then called BOTH Twilights over, and the four of them were quickly hugging and crying together as people...
The 'web' of love and devotion between just these four 'people', spanning two worlds, was just amazing...
The four of them stayed 'people' as long as Summer was touching one of them, and they were touching each other.
After maybe fifteen minutes, Summer directed as they were carefully returned to being ponies.
Anticipating their turn, both Raritys and both Fionas had already been crying together...
Well, it was their turn, and the Raritys and Fionas were soon standing together as 'people', hugging, crying...
Well, maybe fifteen minutes later, they were all back to being ponies.
...
Princess Twilight took over at this point.
She directed as Summer took Equestria Girls Rarity's hoof, and changed her into a 'people', and helped her up.
Equestria Girls Rarity called her Twin over, and she was next.
Then both Fionas, then both Twilights, then both Filias, then both Applejacks, and so on.
Everypony that was here was soon standing in this big circle, as 'people', including the Luna and Celestia Twins.
We stopped and waited though, as my Twin and Summer's Twin were coming from the Canterlot Recorder's house.
We were soon all together, in a circle, as people, holding hands. Most of us were weeping softly. There really was a lot of love and devotion in this whole group... Twenty four amazing ponies, now twelve amazing sets of Twins...
"Girls let's say this together please." Princess Twilight said softly, crying herself. We all knew the words anyway.
"We are deeply devoted to each other..."
"We are true friends, and committed to true friendship..."
"We are... ...Equestria..."
Then Princess said as best as she could
"And I am only a Princess with you all at my side."
Well, everypony was weeping softly after this.
