It rapidly became clear to all of us, on both sides of the Portal, that Twilight Sparkle was fully intent on honoring her amazing Twin, Princess Twilight. The rest of us lovingly took part in this amazing tribute. We all love our Princess.
While she was still in the Equestria Girls world, and the minute she was in 'Twin Link' range, Twilight Sparkle immediately ran off, and called Fluttershy to come with her.
My Stallion and I directed first the Principal sisters, then the rest of the Equestria Girls through the Portal.
Maybe ten minutes later, Twilight walked back to the Portal with Filia and Fiona, Fluttershy and my Stallion and I. Twilight never turned around to look at them before she asked the 'girls' to follow her, then Twilight went through the Portal.
My Stallion, myself, and Equestria Girls Fluttershy were left with Filia and her sister, and we set their mind at ease, and they both soon went through the Portal, separated by maybe half a minute.
Then Fluttershy went through, and my Stallion and I held hands, and went through together.
As soon as Twilight Sparkle came through the Portal, she immediately walked quickly over to Princess Twilight, and slowly turned her away from the Portal while they hugged. Princess Twilight was weeping softly on her Twin's shoulder, and Twilight Sparkle was weeping too, but also watching the Portal.
Filia soon came through, and fell, of course.
The Equestria ponies all gasped quietly, and started weeping softly as they saw Filia come through. The Equestria Girls were weepng softly too.
Fluttershy and my words on the other side of the Portal had already alerted our Twins, and Equestria Girls Summer and Equestria pony Fluttershy quietly and quickly went over, and helped Filia up, and moved her aside.
And Princess Twilight was still crying softly on Twilight Sparkle's shoulder, and Princess didn't see any of this.
Fiona came through next, and our sisters likewise helped her up, and moved her away, and she was standing up, as a pony, next to her sister Filia. Both were speechless.
Fluttershy, my Stallion and I quickly followed through the Portal, and we were all 'home'...
As soon as Fiona came through, and was standing with her sister, and the rest of us were through, it suddenly became COMPLETELY silent in the room...
...then EVERYPONY bowed to Princess Twilight...
Twilight Sparkle pulled away from Princess Twilight, and turned Princess around...

Princess saw all her pony friends bowing to her in loving honor...
Princess saw Filia and Fiona, as ponies, and Immediately burst into tears...
...
Filia and Fiona, as ponies, both saw...
...their TWINS...
...They couldn't look away...
The Filia and Fiona Twins were quickly seated facing each other... Equestria pony Filia was hugging Equestria Girls Filia... Equestria pony Fiona was hugging Equestria Girls Fiona... Each was quickly Soul-Linked with their Twin, and weeping softly... Both Soul-Link 'auras' were Red...
These four girls were both twins and Twins...
...
At this point, Equestria Girls Twilight Sparkle could control herself no longer, and she burst into tears too, and cried on Princess Twilight's shoulder...
Our precious Princess and her Twin would cry together for a while...
Well, the rest of us were quickly crying too...
[I'm sorry, my Stallion had to do this section. I couldn't work on this without crying a lot...]
Equestria pony Filia and Fiona's dad had died maybe six months ago. Their mom had made an 'acquaintance' of another stallion, and they were getting to know each other better.
Evidently, this stallion had attempted something he should not have, with both Filia and Fiona, at different times. That scoundrel was now in jail, and would be working hard for Canterlot, under heavy guard, for a long time.
Equestria ponies Filia and Fiona were 'identical twin' Unicorn mares with fiery Red Mane and Tail, Brown eyes, and a medium Brown coat. The girls were pretty much 'full grown' by Equestria standards.
Princess Celestia had just taken over the care of these two young Unicorn mares personally, the day news arrived in Ponyville that Equestria Girls Summer Rain had been kidnapped. Princess Twilight let Princess Celestia know what the plan was.
Princess Celestia was concerned, of course, but hoped that 'dad' and his Twin would take care of this. Besides, Princess had her hands pretty full now too.
Princess Celestia had a hunch that these two Unicorn mares had substantial, though now latent, magical ability. After over thirteen hundred years as an Alicorn Princess, she had a pretty good perception in this area.
All her testing with the girls just confirmed this.
The next morning, an Air Coach arrived at Princess Twilight's Castle. In it was Princess Celestia with an amazing present for Princess Twilight -- two Unicorn mare 'apprentices'.
Princess Celestia was convinced that Princess Twilight would be the perfect teacher for these two mares.
Princess Twilight was OVERJOYED at this opportunity...
Princess quickly fell in love with these two precious red-heads. They bonded quickly as well. Princess took them everywhere she went, well, as often as she could.
But Princess also quickly realized that she absolutely could not handle Equestria pony Filia and Fiona by herself.
The Magic of Friendship sprang to life as 'Princess' Girls', Equestria ponies Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, were rapidly and lovingly pulled, well eagerly jumped, into this amazing project. Equestria Girls Summer jumped in too as she was feeling better.
It was clearly a group effort, and the Equestria ponies just showered these two mares with love and friendship.
And Rarity pulled Dawn and Camille into the fun too; they were both Unicorns as well, and Camille was maturing rapidly.
Equestria pony Rarity spent a LOT of time with Princess Twilight and her two new charges. This was only natural, Rarity was a powerful Unicorn as well. Nopony that had watched 'Rare' use her magic to quickly sew an amazing dress would ever question that.
But within this loving group, it hurt noponies' feelings that preferences soon surfaced. Filia gravitated towards Princess Twilight, and Fiona spent extra time with Rarity. This 'one on one' time was just special and helpful.
Well, two days ago, Equestria Girls Summer and the rest of the Equestria ponies 'borrowed' Filia and Fiona for a day at Sweet Apple Acres (they picked apples), and sent Princess and Rarity to bed to catch up on their sleep...

If anypony would have asked Princess Twilight yesterday if there was anything else she would like these girls to experience beyond her lessons on Magic and this circle of amazing friends, she would probably have stared off across the meadow, wishing Filia and Fiona could some day meet their Equestria Girls Twins, if they even existed...
...
And yet, as all of this amazingly and lovingly unfolded in Equestria, nopony in Equestria even dreamed that, on the other side of the Portal, comparable developments were just as amazingly and just as lovingly taking place...

The very minute Equestria Girls Twilight Sparkle saw two blazing red-head ponies next to Princess Twilight through the Twin Link, Twilight Sparkle knew immediately who they were, and ran quickly away...
Twilight Sparkle was determined to honor her Twin and Princess...
...and give both Filias and both Fionas a gift far greater than could ever be given... You really need to have a Twin to understand this...
Equestria Girls Twilight Sparkle and Equestria Girls Rarity had just as quickly bonded with Equestria Girls Filia and Fiona; both loved these girls as their own.
In the context of such deeply true friendship and amazing devotion and committment in two very different worlds...
...the Filia and Fiona Twins met...

On BOTH sides of the Portal... Friendship is Magic...
The Filia and Fiona Twins Soul-Linked for an hour. After that time, neither had many questions left about their Twin or their world; the Soul Link had cared for that.
Most of the rest of us Soul-Linked with our Twins during that time too. My Twin, Equestria Girls Summer Rain, was doing a lot better.
Princess Twilight and her Twin, Equestria Girls Twilight Sparkle, cried on each other's shoulders for almost that long. Twilight Sparkle had helped orchestrate an amazing gift for her Twin and Princess...
Twilight Sparkle and Princess Twilight gently pulled the Filia Twins apart, and both Raritys gently eased the Fiona Twins away from each other.
Twilight Sparkle couldn't do this, so I did.
"Filia and Fiona, Princess Twilight is your Princess, and when you see your Princess, you need to bow before her like this."
I showed them, bowing quickly before Princess Twilight. Within a few seconds, everypony else in the room was bowing to our amazing Princess too. Well, the Principal and Princess sisters didn't, and neither did Twilight Sparkle. It didn't matter.
Still, it was very quiet as the rest of us bowed, and both Princess and Twilight started crying again.
Princess Twilight, crying softly, said "Oh girls, please arise all of you... I have never known... I have never even read about such amazing love and devotion..."
Then, after a brief delay our Princess started to cry more
"Equestria Girls Filia, and Fiona... Welcome to Equestria..."
Then Princess began to cry a lot, and she hugged each of the Filia and Fiona Twins, and she told them she couldn't tell them apart yet.
This would take us all a while. The four of them were all identical twins...
Then both Princess and Twilight worked their way around the room and hugged EVERYPONY, and this took a while...
Well, I need to mention a few more details here.
Having the Portal in Princess' Castle was an amazing development; we all agreed on that.
Still, I found out that both the Princess sisters and the Principal sisters found themselves doing an increasing amount of behind the scenes co-ordination, and really would benefit from quicker communication. There were no 'cell towers' in Equestria...
Moving the Portal to Princess' Castle meant Princess Twilight could send and receive messages from Principal Celestia for them, so all that was required now would be a brief visit to Ponyville via the Portal. The Principal sisters didn't mind visiting, Equestria was in their hearts, too.
The Portal was actually placed in an empty corner in Princess' spacious new Library.
And Princess had wisely requested a nice, soft, thick rug, to be placed right in front of the Portal, for happier landings. Filia and Fiona certainly benefited from that. And Princess Twilight's Cutie Mark was prominantly displayed over the bulk of the rug, of course.
