//------------------------------// // Chapter Thirteen // Story: Dream Come True // by APoeticHeart //------------------------------// Chapter Thirteen As morning arrived in Equestria, Princess Luna started to stir in her sleep as she felt the warm shower of sunlight wash over her while it poured through her balcony window. She let out a slight yawn and blinked her eyes open to look out at Celestia’s sun shining brightly in the horizon. She turned her head to the side and lifted her wing carefully to look down at the sleeping child beside her. A warm smile crept across her muzzle as she watched Timmy’s small form rise and fall peacefully as he slept. She leaned her head down to nuzzle at his cheek and whispered into his ear “Timmy sweetheart, it’s time to wake up.” She stroked at his back with a wing and watched as he slowly started to stir. He outstretched arms and allowed a soft yawn to escape from his lips. He blinked his eyes open to look up at the smiling princess “Good morning Miss Luna.” He returned the smile with his soft tone and let out another soft yawn. She gave him tender kiss atop his head “Did you sleep well my dear?” She continued to tenderly stroke at his back with a wing while giving him a motherly smile. He looked up at her with an expression of nervousness etched on his young face as a single thought ran through his mind. I don’t want to lie to Miss Luna about having a bad dream last night, because she might hurt me for lying like mommy and daddy did. His thoughts were casted aside as he felt her foreleg gently wrap around his shoulders. Luna noticed this and looked worriedly at the young boy. She rubbed from his shoulder down along his side to try and comfort him “What’s wrong sweetheart, did you have a bad dream?” She nuzzled him on his cheek “You know you can tell me whatever is bothering you Timmy, and I promise I won’t get mad at you.” She gave him a reassuring smile. He sighed softly and smiled at the caring tone in which she spoke with, knowing that he could tell her of his nightmare. He took in a deep breath and exhaled “Yes Miss Luna, I had a bad dream, and it was so scary. Mister Blueblood was in it and he made you and Miss Celestia yell at me, calling me a little beast, and said that it was a mistake for you to bring me here.” He let out a whimper and shook like a leaf recalling the dream. Luna frowned deeply at the frightened child and used her foreleg to gently caress him soothingly along his side “Oh you poor dear, I’m so sorry. Shh…. please don’t be afraid Timmy, it was only a dream and nothing else.” She nuzzled at the top of his head and cooed softly “Shh…. I’m here for you dear and I won’t let anything hurt you, I promise.” She stroked gently at his hair with her hoof to try and soothe him some more. Slowly the boy calmed his shaking and looked up with a little smile sniffling “Yes Ma’am. Thank you Miss Luna.” He spoke softly as he used his little arms to hug at her side. Deep down he knew the princess won’t ever think of him in that manner or bring harm to him. She gave him a warm smile as he calmed down “That’s better now dear.” She then frowned again as she sighed heavily “Oh Timmy, I’m so sorry that I wasn’t there to help prevent your nightmare like the first night I met you. I should’ve been there for you to protect you in your dream. Can you forgive me Timmy?” She nuzzled his cheek comfortably. He frowned at how bad the princess felt about not being able to prevent his nightmare and was sad that she felt he was mad at him. He hugged at her side again “Of course Miss Luna, I forgive you, but it’s not your fault. Please don’t be sad.” He looked up at her with a soft smile Such a sweet and kind boy he is to worry about my own feelings more than his own. She kissed his forehead “Thank you dear.” She softly spoke as she gently lifted her wing off him to stretch out both of them. She looked down at him with a warm smile “Timmy, I’m just going to step out for a little bit, but I’ll be back as soon as I can so I can take you to get some breakfast, okay?” She bopped her nose playfully against his. He giggled and nodded “Yes Ma’am, I’ll be okay by my self.” He felt her carefully unwrap her foreleg and wing from around him as she climbed off the bed. She stretched all four legs before turning to look at him “Now you just stay here dear, and I shall return for you shortly.” She gave him a wink and trotted out of her bedroom, using her magic to open the bedroom door. She shut the door back quietly and turned to the guard standing by it “Guard, be sure to keep watch over the dear child and make sure nopony tries to enter without notifying me, is that understood?” She gave him a firm glare. “Yes your highness, I shall guard this door with my life.” He saluted with a hoof while his face was covered with his helmet. With a firm nod Luna trotted down the hall. A low snicker escaped the lips of the armored stallion and a devious grin crept across his muzzle. Yes my so called Aunt Tia, I’ll make sure that foul beast is safe. But first, I got to make sure I don’t get caught near here so I’m glad I prepared a letter for the little miscreant. The guard pulled out a letter tucked in his suit of armor and slid underneath the door. He reached up a hoof to knock on the door and in a flash he galloped away from the princess’ bed chambers. Meanwhile Luna arrived at the royal ballroom and looked in awe at the decorations that filled the place. Balloons of a wide variety of colors floated around freely, confetti was strewn all over the tiled floor, and in the middle of the room was a towering three tier cake. It was a strawberry cake with white cream cheese icing and on each tier was written “Welcome Home Timmy!”. A grin of joy spread across the moon princess’ muzzle as she saw Pinkie standing beside the cake with her party hat on and blowing on a party streamer. She held up her arms gleefully and beamed at the princess “Hihi Princes Luna! So, what do you think? Do you think Little Timmy Wimmy is going to love his “Welcome to Equestria Adoption” party?” Luna had tears stinging her eyes “Oh my dear friend Pinkie, I think the child is going to be very surprised when he sees this.” Her grin grew, but she looked around to see that nopony else was around. She looked at the pink party pony curiously “Where is everypony else at?” Pinkie giggled joyfully and hopped up to Luna, placing a foreleg around her neck “Oh, you silly willy, they’ll be coming soon. They wanted to get dressed for the occasion.” She beamed and lets out a squeak “Oh, speaking of dresses, I better go get dressed myself. Be back in a jiff!” She hopped off, bouncing like a rubber ball on her flank. Luna shook her head and chuckled I don’t know if I’ll ever get a grasp on that pony’s behavior, but she did a wonderful job with the decorations. I just hope Timmy will like it and would like being my son. She smiled proudly and warmly at the fact that the child will be her very own son soon. I better go get him so we can have breakfast. Back in Luna’s bed chambers, Timmy carefully climbed off the bed and walked over to door after hearing somepony knocking. When he approached he looked down to see a folded up piece of paper on the ground. He bent down and picked it up I wonder who left this. Being curious he carefully unfolded the letter and started to read. Dear little human, Do you honestly think that my Aunt Luna and Aunt Celestia, along with those miserable excuses for heroes actually care about you? They may say they love you and want to make sure that you are safe, but the truth of the matter is you foul little beast, it’s all just a facade. All they want to do is lure you into thinking that you are safe, and when you least expect, they plan to treat you the same way your dastardly kind treats us pony kind on your pathetic homeland. And I guess I will be at least somewhat accepting of you and give you this fair warning. Those six ponies who are known as the Elements of Harmony, well my dear little, naive human, they aren’t what they seem to be. You see you lowly creature, they may appear to be kind and welcoming on the outside, but inside they are cruel, cold-hearted ponies that just want to make others suffer. If you don’t believe me, when you have the opportunity, meet me outside at the castle’s courtyard and I’ll take you to a friend of mine that have been treated cruelly by the elements. I won’t bring harm to you, I promise child. Yours truly, Prince Blueblood After reading the letter,Timmy felt tears stinging at his eyes and his little body trembled. He heard hoofsteps approaching the door and quickly folded the piece of paper back up, and placed it into the pocket of his pajama pants. He quickly blinked his eyes to prevent Luna from seeing him about to cry as the princess carefully trotted into her bedroom and he put on a soft smile. “Are you ready to go get some breakfast sweetheart?” She asked him returning the smile and nuzzled the top of his head. He nodded “Yes Miss Luna, I’m hungry.” He felt his tummy grumble a bit. Luna let out a little chuckle “It appears so my dear. Come, let’s go find you something good to eat.” She crouched down and helped the little boy onto her back. She turned and trotted out of her bedroom and toward the dining hall. Although he was happy on the outside, Timmy was torn and broken in a way as he felt his heart shatter. I’m scared. Miss Luna said she won’t ever be mean to me or let anyone hurt me ever again. I thought she was my friend and the others too. I hope Mister Blueblood is lying, but I’ll go see him after breakfast. In the courtyard underneath a shady tree out of sight stood Prince Blueblood as he looked up at the castle knowing that the child was with the princess. I promise Aunt Tia and Aunt Luna, you two and those sorry excuses for element barriers are going to see the foul beast that lives inside that little abomination. I will prove it! A devious grin formed on his muzzle as he stepped further back into the shadows.
