We managed to escape with little difficulty thanks to the Concordians and Echidnaeans, and it was decided we could re-schedule the visit to Echidna.

Good. I'd had enough adventure for now, and frankly, I was ready to be back home.

The various prisoners of the Lemurians were returned to their respective homes, and the Lemurians themselves had re-learned that equines were not pushovers.

The body of Captain Cornelius S. Seadog* was never recovered, though his arm was found on the beach. It was given to his closest kin, and is now worn by his youngest son.

Paj and Ghak earned their freedom from the Mahars. The two, inspired by a certain unicorn mare, managed to get a place in the Concordian navy, specifically Firefly's own galleon. The two now spend their days working at night, but sleeping in the bowels of the ship during the day, and have been dubbed the official "rats" of the ship.

Ocean Wave, Maud, and Ditzy returned to their normal lives, but still keep in touch.

And Lyra returned home, climbed up the stairs, and promptly collapsed in her bed.
