Rainbow Dash's POV
My mom was a blue Pegasus with a white, wavy mane. Her name was Raindrop. My dad was a purple Pegasus with a rainbow mane. His name was Lightning Bolt.
I was holding back tears while talking.
My dad worked at the weather factory and my mom stayed home with me. There was an accident at the factory one day. There was a problem with the machine that created lightning bolts. It went haywire. My dad was there by the machine.
I felt something wet roll down my cheek. I was crying. I immediately wiped my face.
He got struck in the back by a lightning bolt. Then when my mom found out, she became devastated. Her and my dad had a really, really good relationship. She went insane. Her mane became messy, and her pupils became tiny. She would laugh manically, scream in my face, she even held a knife up to front hoof once and made a small cut. She would scare me death. I didn't even want to be five feet near her. I used to get so scared, I would lock myself in my room, and most of the time I would escape to Fluttershy's house to get away from her and to eat, and use the bathroom. She would hit me and abuse me so hard, I would have purple bruises big and small all over my body. It depended on how hard she hit me. I got a black eye once and a broken wing, when she threw me across the room into the wall. I would go through the room in my window.
She would rock in the corner of a room humming to herself, and she would drink non stop. One night I saw her taking drugs. I tried to stop her, but she hit me in the mouth. I didn't dare to try again.
One day after school, I didn't see her in the living room or the kitchen. I didn't hear anything either. I got really scared that she was hiding somewhere and that she would jump out and try to kill me. My heart pounded so hard against my chest, that I thought it was going to come put of my chest.
I went into her room. I saw a knife with blood on her bed. Then I turned my head and....
I stopped and let tears keep rolling down my face.
And I saw her dangling from her closet by my jump rope.
I lived at Fluttershy's from then on.
"I remember that." said Fluttershy, still crying.
