Chapter 5. Big trio, meet the little trio

"Come on! We're getting closer!" Scootaloo leads them through the darkness in the woods. Unlike the last time they were in the Everfree forest,the trees here covers most of the moonlight making it barely possible to walk through without a bat-pony's night vision or a unicorn's horn for light. Fortunate for the young Pegasus , she has a unicorn friend that learned a lighting spell a week ago.

"Scootaloo, stay in the light. My magic isn't that strong to reach you out there you know." Sweetie Belle told her friend who's way ahead of the light."Come on now! Astronomers have to get used in the dark because they look at the stars all night, am I right?" Scootaloo said. "Besides all of that, ya think Fluttershy would know if we're gone?" Apple Bloom worries. "Nah, what we set up should do the trick. And plus, after this, we'll be back before morning." Scootaloo answers. She could see that Fluttershy would open the door and see "them" fast asleep and won't worry about them for the rest of the night in her head.

Shifting and turning on her couch, Fluttershy is unable to sleep knowing that the Cutie Mark Crusaders are never this quiet-. "Maybe they are asleep. It's been a pretty long day for them after all." She said to no one in particular. "But then again..."

She got up and going up to the room. Waking up the white bunny next to her, Angel chatters angrily. "Ooh, sorry angel." She quickly apologizes. Angel moves back into a comfortable position and shuts his eyes.

A little peek shouldn't hurt right?

Quietly opening the door, she sees that the three lumps are indeed in bed with a cabinet moved in front of a large window. They must not like moonlight when they sleep. Satisfied, she closes the door and heads back downstairs. She stops in the middle of the stairs. Last time she babysat them, they sneaked passed her when she was getting comfortable. This time she was fully awake on the couch tossing and turning. She would've known if the door was open.

Running back to the room, opening the door, she removed the covers and see the lumps were pillows. But how did they escape?

Wait. The cabinet in front of the window. With a grunt, she moved the cabinet with little difficulty. Massaging bears that look like you're killing it sure does make you stronger and toner. A makeshift rope out of bed sheets was tied to one of the cabinet's legs. Looking out the window, she sees hoof tracks in the mud that headed to the Everfree.

"Girls, you've been through enough trouble today. Why cause more?" She sighs.

Flying out the window into the dark forest, all she can think of is that she'll be able to reach them before any kind of harm does to them.

"Whoa.." Is all that came out the crusaders' mouth at what they see inside a brush. Two massive bears-like creatures, leaner than the ones on Equestria, and far much more bigger, back straight. Another alien that has no resemblance to any known creature in Equestria or the bears, is shorter than the bears. White skin and what seems to be blood on its body with a face and that seems like a light blue "T." It's body has some strange metallic things and a large block hump thing on its back. Besides that, the interesting part is that the short one can speak equestrian and it understands the bears as the bears understand it. It seems hostile from the sound of his voice.

"I think we found aliens." whispers Scootaloo "Well forget the astronomers thing, we're goin' to be alien hunters." Apple Bloom said happily. "We're going to be rich! Let's watch them for a little longer: Know how they live, like Gabby Gums." Sweetie Belle said pulling out a notepad,a hat and pencil out of nowhere. "Yeah!" The other two did the same.

Short one has removed it's T face.
We call him white because of his armor collor.
The light brown bear is bear 1.
The dark brown is bear 2.
We now know this as its helmet and it is wearing armor like the royal guard.Its face seems like a stallion.
The bears maybe be stallions as well.
They made a camp by the stream.

These were on their notepad and with more along the way. They look at the aliens and turning back to the notepad to write more on whatever they're doing.

The aliens are now sleeping and Scootaloo felt brave in the moment "Imma take a closer look." She slowly moved to out the brush. "No scootaloo wait!" Her friends whisper yells at her pulling her back into the bush.

White woke up quick from the sound. "Who's there?" It held a small L thing in his hands. Bear 1 and 2 woke up and and ready themselves as well.

"Crud! They woke up!"
"We ought to get outta here!"
"Come on! We have tomorrow in the morning to come back!' the last word came out in a squeak.

They slowly and carefully crawled out the brush not wanting to get caught. Once all are out they ran away from the aliens without making any other sounds than their hooves.

Feeling safe away from the aliens, the three stops to catch their breathe "Scootaloo why *pants, why did you do that?!" Sweetie Belle squeaked. "*pants pants*You can't blame me for wanting to see them closer!" She retorts. "We all did, but White probably has some advanced, fancy machine to let us know if we get to0 close to them n' probably kill us too!"

They went on bickering loud since they're pretty far from the aliens and they won't hear them.

But the three manticores nearby that were trying to get good sleep disagrees.Awake by the loud disturbance, they got up. Angered from someone waking them up, they plan to end whatever it was that ruined their sleep so they follow the sounds. They see the cause of the disruption : Three small ponies. Perfect for midnight snack for each one of them. They roar loudly and lunge at the ponies.

The girls screams their throat and lungs out from terror and starts to run away for their lives, three manticores right behind them.

"Mr. Owl, have you seen three fillies around by any chance?" Fluttershy asks the owl. The owl shakes it's head and hoos. "Oh, okay. Thank you for you time." Getting more worried Fluttershy flies around asking any animals she meets and asks them if they see the girls with no progress.

Screams came out the forest caught her hers. "The girls! And they're in trouble!" She flies as fast as she can towards the scream.

"Sounds like children! That means an urban area or at least a farm is close here." Sev said looking at the area where the scream came from. Kitchit growls saying if they save the children, they'll get help of some kind from the natives here. Arrikata nods his head in agreement. "Alright then, lock and load. We're having some action on a new planet, Whatever the cause of the scream may be." Sev said putting his helmet on and switching to his Low Light vision.

Running through the forrest, Sev and his friends had no trouble going through it since Sev have his Low Light and the Wookies could see pretty well in the dark. "Here, you're going to need these in case we split up. I took it from the Trandoshans." Sev pass the ear piece communicator to them still on the move. "There's prints on the ground. And it seems fresh so we shouldn't be far."

Seeing moonlight on an open area, Sev gestures a hand saying the Wookies to stop . Sev sees the prints ends by the dirt were replaced by rock like ground. They look around the area for any clues that'll give them where to go to find the children. Arrikata growls and spots 3 large four legged creatures around another four legged beings which he believe to be the children. The large ones has the children backed on a wall. Arrikata, have a gentle side when it comes to children since he has a son asks he they can take out the creatures non-lethaly since such violence would scar them badly. Kitchit, as a veteran says that children or not, many has seen the war already so it wouldn't make any difference. "As much I like to kill these, Arrikata is right. Neither Republic or Separatists are here. Traumatizing them would look bad on the Republic. So no weapons,killing or ripping limbs off. Why not make it funner for us, Kitchit?" Kitchit groans,and agrees. "They have stingers so take those out first." That said, they charge in to break the stringer and some good beat down.

"We messed up big time ya'll." Apple Bloom musters up the courage to speak. "I'm sorry for wanting a closer look. I really am." Scootaloo apologizes before their deaths. "We forgive you, Scootaloo." Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom said in unison. Turning the head and closing their eyes, they ready themselves for death as the manticores are about to puncture them with their stingers.

A few seconds passed, eyes still closed with howls came from the manticores.

Sweetie Belle was the first to open an eye. Then the other with both eyes widening and a smile growing on her face. "Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, open your eyes look!." They hesitated to opening their eyes believing they're dead. Both earth pony and pegasus opens an eye. Then the other with same results as Sweetie Belle. Instead of smiles they were at awes.

The aliens broke the stingers and it making it useless to inject poison.

After breaking the tail, Bear 1 and 2 circles around the other two manticores while White, with his helmet back on and a slightly larger than the other manticore stood still, staring at one another to see who would make the first move. "He's going for the pack leader!" Scootaloo said in amazement.

White made the first move running towards the maticore as the manticore jumped at him as well. The two other manticores lunge at the Bears. The bears did something that surprises the manticore and make the crusaders drop their jaws. Bear one grabs a manticore, picks it up, using the manticore's momentum and slams it on the ground leaving a dent. Letting out a mighty roar and begins to pummel it. The filles bounces and cheers at this exciting fight. Reflexes kicks in when Bear 2 simply punches the manticore in the face making him fly to the wall a few feet away from them. "Oooohhh he's gonna feel that in the mornin' fer sure!" Apple Bloom yells. "WA-BAM! BODY SLAM THAT NASTY MANTICORE!" Screamed Sweetie Belle. Scootaloo mimics what White was doing. He ducks, dodges and threw some punches at his opponent.

Angered, the manticore had enough of this mockery. He whips his tail at White sending him in the air a few feet then sliding on the ground. Scootaloo's held a terrifying expression at his whole body having some light wave going all over it and quickly going away. He tries to get up but the hit got him seeing stars. The manticore moves in to bite White's head just when white turns his head to it.

Scootaloo had an urge in her to save him. She ran using her wings as boost to the manticore. Scootaloo let out a cry that caught the the manticore. She jumps and bucks the manticore on the cheek. "Take that! Uh oh," Another wrong move. It turns it's attention to her instead of White for a second.

White seeing this as an opportunity took it and got on it's back slamming it's head. "Kid, don't be a hero if you don't have the proper training!" He spoke to her! To Scootaloo! OMNIGOSH OMIGOSH OMIGOSH OMIGOSH! He's talking to me! Scootaloo said in her head but remembers that's no time for that now. "A-alight I'm sorry," Scootaloo apologizes to him. "Get back to your friends, I'm a little busy with a little pest right now." "He's a little big to be-" "NOW!" The voice booms and she obeys the order and ran to her friends. "Scootaloo! Ya could've been killed!" Apple Bloom yells at her. "He spoke to me and called the leader of the manticore 'a little pest'' She squees. "Really? That's so cool!" Sweetie Belle squeaks when she said cool.

For a while, White had difficulty with his fight and told Bear 1 and 2 to stay out unless they're needed. Now, the crusader watch White and the pack leader circle. White ran to the pack leader.The girls scream saying that it's a foolish move and he going to hurt himself. "Kitchit, Arrikata! Throw the others at me!" White yells out. They complied by picking the body with a single arm like nothing dropping the jaws of the crusades'. "Minotaurs don't have that kind of strength!" Sweetie Belle wows at it. "Yeah, the strongest known could throw one a few yard," Apple Bloom adds, "But they threw them like a pebble." Scootaloo finishes With precise timing, White dodge out the way of the thrown enemy and let them slam into the last one standind. Moments later, the manticores struggles to stand up. As much as like would like to kill them, now is not the time since they were beaten by unknown beings. So they walk back into the forest in silence.

"I see you three messing with them again, I'll make a bandoleer out of your skins and keep your mane as trophies." Sev quietly said. Arrikata and Kitchit let out a small roar saying they'll rip off their limbs too. "They were lucky we went easy on them."

Turning to the children to talk to them, them came up in amazing speed and all talk at once. Sev was tall for them but the Wookies towers over them. The size of a Wookie would intimidate anyone, but these kids have no clear signs fear on their faces as they babble to Sev and the Wookies. They could make out compliments, sound effects through the shamble of words. The kids were throwing punches in the air and mimics the body slam.

"Quiet, all of you." Sev said in a normal Sev tone. They quickly went silent,stopping whatever they said. The white one with light green and purple hair and a single horn atop of her head raises her hoof. "Yes? and don't speak about what had happened." She put her front leg on her chin and thinks about what she was going to say. She formed a huddle with her friends and began whispering. Finished they took in a large gulp of air and began.

Again another jumble of words came out. "Okay,okay,okay, this is not going to work. How about we take you home wherever you live?" They nodded. Arrikata growls.

"What'd he say?" The pale yellow , bright right haired one with the red bow asks. "He said after what happened you look tired so he's offering rides back to your homes."

"YAY! RIDE BACK HOME FROM ONE OF OUR HEROS!" For ones so small, they are loud. Wookies had to cover their ears. Arrikata kneels down to pick them up when his ears stops ringing. The pale yellow one rests on the left shoulder, the orange, purple haired one with wings on right and with no other room, the white horned child has no where to sit. She wore a frown with not being able to sit with her friends .Arrikata quickly think and dart his eyes from her's to trying to look at his forehead. She got the idea that she gets to be on his head. She got on top of his head and she looks like a small little winter hat on his head. Huh, head with a horn on top of a head. He stood back up making the young ones say 'whoa' and held on for dear life. "Wow mister, you're like, SUPER tall!" the one on his head said. He smiles at this compliment.

"Point us to the direction of your home. And we'll go." Sev wants to stay on point. "Just keep going that way and you should see a little cottage on the edge of the forest." The pale yellow one said, standing up, pointing a front leg out while the other holds on Arrikata's neck lightly. And so, the six went.

"Oh before we forget to ask, what's your names? Cause we're calling you White, Bear 1 and Bear 2." The white one asks. "Why exactly are you calling us that?" "Well we kinda watched ya behin' a bush." The pale yellow one answers Sev in a embarrassed tone. "So which one of you alerted me?" He asks, "T-that would be me. Sorry." The orange one said sheepishly. Sev ignores their embarrassed looks,"The one carrying you right now is Arrikata, The other one is Kitchit, and I go by Sev."

"I'm Apple Bloom, nice ta meet ya." "The name's Scootaloo, what up?" "I'm Sweetie Belle, how do you do?"

"Pleasure meeting you three. You don't mind us asking some questions do you?" The way he asks scares the children. Arrikata growls saying to change the tone of his voice. "They're kids and my voice stays how it is. I like it and hostiles fear it. And it's the helmet, it makes my voice slightly hollow." He said plain and simple. "W-what do you want to know, Sev"? Scootaloo's voice shakes without Sev not knowing, "Kid, get used to my voice. All we want to know is basic information on this planet. In return, we'll tell you what we know and are."

"Well you're on Equestria..." Sweetie Belle starts.
