Pinkie Pie is a party pony, actually, the bestest of the best party pony around, perhaps in the whole of Equestria! Her day started out perfectly normal, with her breakfast of a cupcake, also known as her Cupcake Breakfast. Little does she know what lies ahead of her…

“Hmm, chocolate, blueberry, strawberry, or… hmmm…” Pinkie stared at the array of colourful cupcakes until her eyes rested on a rainbow coloured cupcake with rainbow sprinkles. But her head whipped back to the first chocolate cupcake. “Choices, choices, choices…” Pinkie Pie sang before shaking her head. “Argh! That’s it! I’ll be eating all! Hehe! There we go! No more choices for me! This is so much fun!” She slowly licked the chocolate icing off the chocolate cupcake before proceeding to gobble the ‘cake’ part of ‘cupcake’ up greedily. “Mmmhmm…” she purred, savouring the taste of the chocoalte in her mouth. 

As she reached toward the blueberry muffin, she stared at it closely, thinking that there was something weird with it. “Hmmm…” she said, staring at the cupcake. However, she was not able to place her hoof on it. Was it that there was too much icing? No, there can never be too much sugar on anything. Was there too little icing? No, it seemed about just right, just the way I like it! Maybe it wasn't the cupcake! Cupcakes can never be wrong, ever! “Argh! Whatever!” And she gobbled it up, licking her chops as she did so. “Ahh… So much better” she cooed, rubbing her belly contentedly as she burped.

What she did not know was that Derpy, the walleyed pegasus mailmare of Ponyville, was just about to enter Sugarcube Corner when she saw Pinkie eating the Blueberry cupcake. Seeing Pinkie do that just made her blood boil. She backed away from the entrance as she flapped her wings and silently flew back to her warm home. It was disrespect to muffins. For the love of blueberry muffins, how could there possibly be blueberry cupcakes?? Knowing she would not dare to confront Pinkie on this matter straight to her face, Derpy sat down and started to write the fluffy pink party pony a letter:



Dear Pinkie Pie,

This letter is regarding you eating a blueberry cupcake. I would understand why you would like to eat a blueberry MUFFIN, but a blueberry CUPCAKE is just too much. It is a total disrespect to muffins and I have attached a copy of The History of Muffins for your reference. It states that blueberry muffins came about a century before cupcakes were even given a thought. Therefore, I would request that you stop selling blueberry cupcakes as that is just blasphemy.

Suddenly, "Ding! Ding!" was heard. Derpy shook her head as she headed straight for her oatmeal muffins. They turned out great! Maybe she would share them with Pinkie Pie! No wait, she disrespected muffins and she doesn't deserve these delicious treats. Derpy shook her head and stomped away. But hey! Maybe she would take down the blueberry cupcake! Then Derpy would be able to give Pinkie a muffin! Heh! Hope that happens!
