Star knew he put too much effort into trying to please Dash, but he really wanted her to like him, and he thought he was getting very close to breaking her tough outer shell.
Dash and Star had been embracing each other for the past hour, neither of them wanting to get up from the bed.
Star nuzzled Dash. "Let's never move..."
Dash laughed "That's stupid, we'd die of-" she realised she was over thinking it. "Oh... Yeah, let's do that"
"You don't sound very convinced..."
"Why are you always so doubtful of me?" She sighed, then rested her head on his chest.
"I'm not, it's just... Uh... I dunno" he rested his muzzle on her head
"What's wrong?"
"Um... It's Applejack... She kinda annoys me"
Dash smiled "You're jealous"
"No! It's just, we always get close, then she comes in and does something that pulls us apart"
"You're definitely jealous" she smiled. "Perhaps you and her should have some time alone... to get to know each other better"
Star smiled and squeezed Dash "why'd I be jealous? I'm with you most of the time"
Dash smiled. She didn't want to bring up the frequent sex her and AJ had when they were alone. "You are pretty lucky..."
Star slowly stroked up and down Dashs back, making her shiver
"You do know how to make me happy..." She pushed her back into Stars hoof, encouraging more.
Star continued stroking "You're a big softie really, aren't you?" he smiled.
She grinned "Perhaps you just bring out the best of me..."
Star started getting lower with his strokes, occasionally running his hoof over her flank. "I'm surprised you've ever let anyone ever touch you"
"I don't" she smiled "I remember everything... Then get them back"
"W-what?"
Dash laughed, running a hoof over Stars muzzle. "You're so easy to scare..."
"I think anyone would be scared if you threatened them" his strokes continued getting lower, just reaching the top of her arse cheeks
"Good" she said, almost purring with pleasure
"Shhhh" he whispered, gently pushing her head onto his chest whilst still stroking her body
She rested her body on his and closed her eyes.
With one hoof Star stroked her mane, the other her body. His hoof got slowly lower until he was stroking her tail. "You're so... Perfect" he smiled.
Dash sighed, but didn't move. "Why do you put up with me?"
"You know why"
"I just... Don't understand..."
"Because Dashie, I love you. And no matter how uncomfortable you make me feel, or however much pain you put me through, it's all worth just a second with you..."
Dash had never felt this way before. She was sad, but happy. Scared, but safe. She felt like crying, but also like shouting with joy. Dash wrapped her hooves around Star, tightly. "I... I love you Star!" She shouted.
Star stopped stroking her, and hugged her tightly back. "You do?"
"Yes!"
Star smiled. Today was the best day of his life.
