Ten years ago today there was an earth pony filly born to the name of Cherryblossom. She was nice and very outgoing sometimes ending to the point of annoyance. Her fur was a light pink more to red then white to form its beautiful coat, Her mane followed the same color till the center there was a lighter pink line going down the center easily noticeable to the eye, Her eyes were a nice white tent with the outer line of the purple matching the center of her mane with a black center to the eyes. By the time her story was to be told she was of the age of 10, her voice was sweet and when she was really happy it got high pitched it was cute.
It was early in the day Blueblosseme was playing with her daughter cherryblossom at the park.
Cherryblossom was running around happy giggling before running up to her mommy with a smile “Hey mommy” she was so happy her voice was already a little high pitched. this made Blueblossom smile as she looked down at her little filly
“yes sweetie?” She replied with a slight smile to Cherryblossome
“can you push me on the swings please?” Blueblossom could not help but smile from the question
“Sure sweetie” she replied with a slight giggle.
They went to the swings and played on them for about an hour. The filly though giggling thought of something
“Mommy?” the filly said as she swung on the swings, her mother pushing them
“Yes dear?” she replied wondering what she wanted
“Wheres daddy?” she said looking back at her mommy, Blueblossom paused for a moment shocked by the question
“Oh i..don’t know.” she replied with a slight frown trying to hide thinking of a little dispute her and Steelshadow had had the other night. After that they went home the realised as they approached the house that the door was open and the lights were on.
Blueblossome looked shocked at the sight as she looked at Cherry her face in a state of horror showing that this was a serious moment. “Honey stay right here ok?”
when her mommy said this cherry froze for a second replying only with “Ok mommy”
After a moment or two having been taken to gather the courage needed Blueblossom went into the house slowly looking for an intruder. She hesitantly uttered “Steelshadow are you home?”
a sigh was heard in the back room “I..i'm here” Steelshadow said packing a bag with his items and clothing. Blueblossom looked at Steelshadow as a sickly feeling brewed from inside of her stomach she replied as tears welled up
“Steelshadow h..honey w..what are you doing?” he bit his lower lip as he attempted to leer out the words before bursting out
“I'm leaving! I..I just can’t handle this responsibility anymore!” he looked over at her for a moment but no longer unable to keep the gaze on her.
She spoke as her heart broke with every moment that passed by “P-please don’t do this honey!” Steelshadow finished packing his bag and starts hastily walking out of the house.
She placed a hoof on his shoulder “Please steelshadow!” Blueblossom says almost in tears now.
“I..im sorry blueblossom but i can’t...I can’t do this anymore!” Steelshadow said as he shrugged her off and began running out the house. As he ran out he pause, Cherry was standing before him having disobeyed her mother having too much energy to stay still that long. Steelshadow looked down at her before she looked up hugging her daddy lightly. He shivered at the moment but pushed her away lightly as Cherry noticed the bags.
“D..daddy where are you going?” she said her voice slightly excited thinking they were gunna go on a trip he replied barely as he spoke the words to his daughter
“I..I'm leaving Cherry”
she giggled and clapped her hooves speaking with a little sarcasm “well I can see that silly” hearing her say that made him lower his head a little as she spoke again
“so where are we going?” hearing the words he took a few steps passing her
“I..I’m sorry but you can’t go with daddy” she tilted her head not understanding
“what do you mean? I always go with you daddy?” as she said this he turned away from her as his eyes built up tears as he started to run off holding his bags close to him yelling back to her
“I..I’m sorry Cherry” Cherry’s eyes opened up hearing these words from her father as she started to chase after him not thinking at all as she was yelling back to him, while chasing him
“D..Daddy slow down I cant keep up!” as he slowly simmered out of her sight tears were welling up in her eyes as she was trying her hardest going as fast as her little legs would take her as she panted yelling again “Daddy” she was finally starting to catch up to him a little, as she closed her eyes looking down tears flying off of her as she yelled again
“Dad!..” her hoof hit a large rock making her come off the ground cause her speed and berrole across the floor spinning getting scraps all over her. Though for a filly she was hurt a lot she persistently stood up unable to see her daddy anymore she trotted off in the direction she thought he was in limping on 3 of her hooves holding the one that had hit the rock off the ground. She was crying harder putting her soul into not losing him she kept going till she fell over from exhaustion and pain tears falling from her eyes as she whispered to herself.
“w..why daddy? why?” She laid there forming a puddle with her tears.
As her mother caught up she hugged her tightly. “It will be ok cherry I promise” She said crying.
