As much as Twilight enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her friends in Ponyville, she occasionally thought what would happen if or when she returned to see her friends in the human world. She kept on reminding herself that her friends in the human world were the same exact thing as her friends in Ponyville except they were human and lived in the other side of the portal. One day when she and her friends were on a train ride for another trip Manehatten, Twilight started to have serious thoughts about trying to see her friends in the human world again. Her friends, however, had other plans. Rainbow Dash was flying around the train car saying "Manehatten is gonna be so awesome!".
Rarity and Fluttershy were plotting out where they wanted to go shopping once they got there. Pinkie Pie was jumping around in excitement as usual. Applejack was singing a song that went "With my best friends, we can depend, they will always follow through, there's a guarantee for fun when I spend it with you!". Twilight then had a daydream about what would happen if she were to return to the other side of the portal.

She day dreamed that it was a warm spring evening on the first night of Canterlot High's Spring Fair. Twilight and her friends met up right outside the gate to where the fair was being held.
"I can't believe we get to enjoy the fair and perform at the fair tonight! This is gonna be some awesome!" said Rainbow Dash.
"I couldn't have it any other way except for with my best friends!" said Rarity.
"We're gonna rock this fair tonight!" said Pinkie Pie.
"I'm nervouscited about tonight especially since we have to perform in front of a huge crowd." said Fluttershy.
"Alright enough jibberjatter. Let's go win us a few games before we have to perform in about in hour!" said Applejack.
"Let's make this night something to remember since it's my first day back!" said Twilight.
They decided that Twilight and Fluttershy would stick together, Rainbow Dash and Applejack would stick together, and lastly, Pinkie Pie and Rarity would stick together.
"Alright y'all, let's keep in touch about where we wanna rendezvous before the show starts so we can set up." said Applejack.
"Fair enough." said the others.

"C'mon Applejack, let's go play that hammer scale game!" said Rainbow Dash.
"Oh please. I have the same exact thing at my house and I've beaten Big Mac multiple times. You don't know what you're up against!" said Applejack.
"Challenge accepted!" said Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash went first and it only went about 3/4's the way up. Applejack went next and it went up about 98% up the scale.
"Ha I told you I'm the master at that game!" said Applejack.
However, Twilight's dog Spike walked up to the scale and his swing made the thing hit the bell at the top. Applejack stood in absolute shock.
"Hey did I just come in last?!?!?!" said Applejack.
"How do you like them apples, Jack?!?!?!" said Rainbow Dash with a grin on her face.

Meanwhile, Twilight and Fluttershy were looking for games that "didn't express cruelty or hurt animals in anyway whatsoever". Fluttershy eventually agreed to try whack-a-mole but when it started she got paranoid again and then turned and saw Twilight was holding a Discord plush and wacked it out of her hands.
"So much for not being cruel to animals!" said Twilight with a grin on her face.
"That thing isn't an animal, it's a beast and a monster." said Fluttershy.

Eventually about 35 minutes before they were to perform, the girls decided to meet up in the Photo Booth before setting up for their performance. Halfway through their shoot, Twilight realized it was time for them to set up and they had to leave before it was over. After setting up and performing their new single "Perfect Day for Fun" in front of a crowd made of mostly other CHS students and staff, the girls played a few other games and went on a few more rides before ending their perfect night with a relaxing ride on the Ferris Wheel.

Twilight was very happy but a little sad about thinking about her friends in the human world. Her daydream was cut short when she found Pinkie Pie tugging at her arm and yelling
"C'MON TWLIGHT WE'RE IN MANEHATTEN! LET'S GO PARTY LIKE THERE'S NO TOMMOROW!"
