Morning soon came, a gloomy morning. Tesla had his head on Twilight's kitchen table as he slept with his mouth open, leaving a river of drool under his cheek. He slowly opened his eyes and found his head still on the table when he became fully awake, he didn't want to get up.
About ten minutes later, after he woke up, he got his face off the kitchen table and then went over to the sink to wash the drool off the side of his face. He made his way to the living room, where he checked on the time. It was twelve forty five. He made his way over to a nearby mirror in Twilight's home, he looked at his stitched eye, he dabbed it slightly, and felt a sting,
"Ah" He quietly winced as he stopped dabbing his eye. He noticed he was growing a slight beard as well, "Maybe I should shave"
He went back to the kitchen, his throat was drier than the boonies of Appleloosa, he needed a drink. He opened the fridge to find several bottles of cider, a carton of orange juice and a carton of milk. He decided to get the hardest drink, cider.
Tesla sat back at the table, with a bottle of cider with him, sipping it slowly. Tesla usually likes to be alone, but now he doesn't, not now at least. He actually wants someone to talk to, whether if it was Twilight, Rarity, Luna, hell, even Spike would be great for him to talk to at this point.
He itched his beard, and took another sip, then thought about Masai and his Brotherhood, and soon realized that they're the first of his problems, with Oz and the Dragons loose, God only knows what they're doing at the moment.
Once he finished his drink, he got himself back up once again. He made his way to the front door, but he stopped in his tracks when he realized something was happening, there was a faint sound of yelling outside. Nikola pressed his ear against the door, and then he mumbled,
"What the hell is that?"
Tesla then proceeded to open the door, and the sounds became more clearer. He peeked his head out of the door and looked to the left, only to see tents that have put up for the ponies who lost their homes in Canterlot. He then jerked his head to the right, to see a mob of ponies near the town hall. He exited out of the house and closed the door behind him. He then approached the mob, and was curious to what they were doing.
Once he made it up to the mob, Tesla nudged a nearby female Unicorn,
"Excuse me miss, what's happening here?" Nikola asked her with curiosity.
"We're waiting for the damn Princesses to tell us what the fuck we're going to do" She replied with an angry and harsh tone in her voice.
The mare then continued to shout out for the Princesses along with the rest of the confused and angry crowd. The poor souls didn't know the hell was going to happen now.
Nikola pushed his way through the crowd, until he saw a large stand, and it was about seven feet high and ten meters squared, right near the town hall, with a large curtain behind it. Telsa was able to get behind the curtain where he saw Luna talking to the Mayor. He was able to eavesdrop on their conversation,
"Your Highness, I'll go up first and talk to them, then you can tell them what's going on" The Mayor said to Luna.
"Okay, Ms. Mayor, thanks" Luna said before the Mayor parted to the stand.
Tesla went over to Luna, who was beginning to smoke another cigarette. Tesla tapped her on the side, making her jump at first, she then turned around and calmed down at the sight of Tesla.
"Oh afternoon, Nikola. H-how are you?" Luna asked quite quickly, "How's the eye?"
"I should be asking how you are, you look worried. What's wrong?" Tesla asked.
"Celestia left for The Crystal Empire to tell my niece about the Dragons, she wanted to tell her face to face. Celestia left me here to deal with all this shit around Ponyville. And to be honest..." She paused.
"What?" Nikola questioned.
"I don't have a fucking clue what to tell them" Luna whispered intensely to him.
"Just tell them what happened, Luna. I'll tell them as well" He replied.
"Excuse me, your Highness" A guard called out to Luna.
Luna looked over to the guard, who then approached Luna and Tesla in a hurry,
"Your grace. Mr. Tesla" the guard stoically greeted.
"Yes?" Luna replied.
The guard paused, as if he couldn't find the right words to use to explain to Luna what was going on,
"Go on" Luna commanded.
"We have bad news from Baltimare and Manehattan..." The guard paused once more, "They've been destroyed, Your Highness"
Luna closed her eyes, she wanted to shout at the guard, but she knew he didn't deserve a scolding. She just closed her eyes and took a deep breath,
"How many casualties?" Luna asked.
The guard gulped, "Over two thousand dead, in both cities, it's unknown how many are injured"
"What direction is Lyth heading?" Luna asked.
"A...about that, Princess. Lyth has..um...disappeared" The guard awkwardly told her.
Luna opened her eyes slowly and looked at the guard with anger, intimidating the young guard,
"Disappeared? Lyth, one of the two largest dragons in Equestria, a dragon who is forty feet, has disappeared?" Luna questioned.
The guard nodded, "Yes. But there's more news, Your Highness"
"Go on" Luna answered with annoyance.
"The Crystal Empire has been taken" The guard told her.
"What do you mean taken?" Luna asked furiously.
"It was taken from Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor. There was a siege" The guard anxiously told her.
"My sister is there" Luna mumbled to herself.
"It was a Changeling who took the kingdom, and... I found this hard to believe Your Highness, but it was one Changeling and all the Diamond Dogs" The guard said.
Damn, it must've been Ozymandias. How could I let that slip my mind?, Tesla thought to himself. I can't tell Luna that I knew about his plan, she'd go mad at me. I'll tell her it was him though,
"Luna, it has to have been the Changeling who injured Sombra" Tesla told her.
"How do you know for sure, Nikola?" Luna asked.
"He betrayed the rest of them right in front of me. It must be him" Nikola replied.
"I'm still surprised as to how the Crystal Empire was taken over by a Changeling and the Diamond Dogs" Luna mentioned.
"Ozymandias is a smart Changeling" Nikola said, "He's an unpredictable creature"
The Guard nodded as Nikola and Luna were talking, he left them by quietly sneaking away,
"Look, Nikola. Tia was in the Crystal Empire, I don't know if she was taken along with Cadence and Shining Armor or if she was able to escape, but I can't go up there and tell all of them that the Princess has been taken hostage, that the Elements of Harmony are gone and dragons are loose in the Country. Nikola, I'm terrified..." Luna explained to him.
"Luna, all of us are terrified at the moment. I'll help you tell them, you know we need to do this" Tesla consoled.
Luna looked at him nervously and then anxiously nodded, "Yes, you're right. We'll both do it though, together?"
"Of course" Tesla replied.
The Princess and the Serbian Inventor stood on the stand, Luna was in front of Tesla, overlooking a crowd of angry ponies, who were all shouting over each other. Luna was nervous to even utter a single word, she gulped her throat in worry and then said,
"Ponies, please calm down"
She spoke too quietly, they didn't stop yelling. She then remembered to use her more threatening voice, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath,
"QUIET!" She blared out as she opened her wings and her eyes as the turned completely white.
This time, she was able to shut the crowd up. Tesla had never seen her that loud, it sent a shiver down his spine. Her eyes turned back to normal and she had a quick gasp for air. She looked at the crowd, then wanted to say something but they couldn't,
"Listen, fillies and gentelcolts. I know you are confused as to what is happening..." Luna began.
"You're darn right we're confused!" A stern male voice called from the crowd.
The crowd then began to mumble to each other once more, then started to argue again, Luna decided to continue her speech before the crowd gets out of control again,
"I know you're confused about what's happening, but I'll tell you..." Luna paused, "The two largest dragons in Equestria have been released and are now active in Equestria"
"Then why can't you stop it!?" A blue male Unicorn called out.
"Or Princess Celestia!?" A female pegasus shouted.
"Or the Elements of Harmony?" The Cutie Mark Crusaders asked.
Luna began to hesitate with what she was going to say to the crowd, "Princess Celestia, Princess Cadence, Shining Armor and the Elements of Harmony have all been held hostage. The Crystal Empire has been taken and we have no clue where the great dragons are..." Luna told the crowd with little confidence.
The crowd then began to angrily shout at Luna and argue with each other. Luna backed away and stood beside Tesla, she looked sad and faced away from the crowd. Tesla looked at her and couldn't bare to see her that way. He stood in front of Luna and cleared his throat before saying,
"People.." Tesla began as the crowd listended to him "You probably don't know who I am, or where I'm from, but that doesn't matter. I know the men who have the Princesses and the Elements hostage. They're a group of Changelings..."
"Damn the Changelings. Chrysalis should be..." A voice in the crowd began.
"It wasn't Chrysalis. It was seven Changelings. Only seven, two are dead though and another one has...he has taken over The Crystal Empire.." Tesla told them.
The crowd began to murmur once again,
"Everyone! Before you lose your heads. I ask of you to calm down and let me explain. The Elements of Harmony are being held by four of the Changelings and Celestia and the other two are being held the other Changeling and the Diamond Dogs. These guys are smart and they won't be easy to beat, but I'll beat them" Tesla explained to the crowd.
"How are you gonna beat them?"
"Yeah, you're just one guy" A deep voice in the crowd uttered.
"I know. The Changelings are smart but not smart enough, I'm smarter. I made a machine that can teleport objects without magic and I came into this world through the same machine" Tesla said, "I will stand up to and beat these Changelings, and they will pay for their schemes"
The crowd looked at him in silence and with blank expressions, they didn't know what to make of his words there, all they saw was a feeble looking pony who wants to make a stand against a bigger enemy,
"I will save The Elements of Harmony and the Crystal Empire, but you need to take my word for it" Tesla said, "I promise you all that your country will be safe again. I'll die trying if I have to..."
