Rainbow Dash flew over to Sugar Cube corner feeling excited to spend the day with Pinkie Pie again. Over the course of the week, Rainbow Dash had really come to enjoy the quality time she was spending with Pinkie Pie. Rainbow Dash was surprised to find that Pinkie Pie was not waiting outsider for her as she usually did. Rainbow Dash knocked on the door and was greeted by Mr. Cake.
“Good morning Mr. Cake. Is Pinkie Pie around?”
“Oh of course. Let me go and get her for you,” the orange colt said. Moments later, Pinkie Pie stuck her head threw the doorway.
“Good morning Rainbow Dash, I didn’t expect to see you this morning,” the pink mare said with more enthusiasm than is generally allowed so early in the morning.
“Why weren’t you expecting me?” Rainbow Dash asked as she raised her eyebrows in puzzlement.
“The week is over silly. You don’t have to do whatever I say anymore, “ Pinkie said with a small chuckle.
“Oh, alright,” Rainbow Dash said in disappointment.
“Yeah, so I guess I’ll see you around,” the pink pony replied. Rainbow Dash could tell that Pinkie Pie was also disappointed by the end of their pet play dates.
“You know Pinkie, just because the bet it over, doesn't mean we have to stop our get together,” Rainbow Dash suggested. Pinkie Pie jumped into the air with obvious excitement.
“Rainbow Dash that's a great idea!” Pinkie Pie called out. “I’ll go get your collar.” Pinkie Pie ran back inside the sweet shop and returned with the pink collar and leash Dash became so accustomed to. “Time for our walk my little Dashie,” Pinkie Pie said in a childish voice as she fastened the collar around the Pegasus's neck and attached the leash.
Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash began to walk down their familiar path in the Everfree Forest side by side with one another.
“I really enjoy our play time together,” Pinkie Pie said as she pet Dash on top of the head. Every time Pinkie Pie pet Dash on the head, a warm feeling ran threw the Pegasus.
“Yeah, me too,” Rainbow Dash said as she nuzzled against Pinkie Pie. Rainbow Dash inhaled the scent of the pink mare, she always smelled like strawberries and a variety of baked goods. Rainbow Dash realized how much she enjoyed being around the pink earth pony. She always liked being around Pinkie Pie, however the last week made Rainbow Dash just how much she enjoyed being with Pinkie Pie. “Hey Pinkie Pie?” Rainbow Dash asked. Rainbow Dash noticed her voice trembling with a multitude of emotions ranging from fear to excitement.
“What's wrong Dashie?” Pinkie asked with concern. Evidently she noticed the trembling in her pet’s voice
“I was wondering if you want to….you know,,,,go out?” Rainbow Dash managed to ask. Her voice came out quieter than she intended, however Pinkie Pie still heard the trembling Pegasus
“Well of course! What do you think we are doing now silly?” Pinkie Pie asked with a chuckle.
“No, I mean like...on a date,” Rainbow Dash clarified as she began to match the other mare in color due to embarrassment.Pinkie Pie gasped.
“Oh Dashie!” Pinkie Pie said as she jumped towards Rainbow Dash and hugged the rainbow Pegasus, causing her to lose her bounce. Both ponies landed in the bushes to the side of the path and began laughing.
