After school, Stella decided to talk to her father. She walked to his office and saw Shining Armor doing paperwork
"Daddy?", said Stella
"Oh hey Pumpkin", greeted Shining "What's up?"
"Can I ask you something?"
"Of course sweetie, what is it?"
"Can you teach me how to fly?"
"Teach you how to fly? When are you interested in flying?"
"Well today at school, we had to do a flying obstacle course for gym. I couldn't do it cause I can't fly, so everypony laughed at me"
"Im sorry sweetie. I wanna teach you, but I can't"
"But why?"
"Because, Daddy's working on a very important case"
"Is it about King Sombra and Queen Chrysalis?"
Shining had a shocked look on his face.
"How'd you know?", asked Shining
"Crystal told me", explained Stella
"But I told her not to tell anypony"
"She might've tuned you out. But I understand, you barely have time for me anyways"
Shining started to feel guilt, but he shook it off.
"Forget it Stella", said Shining "Your not guilt tripping me"
"Fine", replied Stella "Then you leave me no choice. I'm gonna have to give you The Eyes"
"That wont work on me either"
"Oh yeah, let's see"
Suddenly, Stella's eyes grew. Shining tried to look away, but it was no use.
"Ok ok fine", said Shining "I'll teach you how to fly"
"YAY", cheered Stella running out the door
"Why do I always keep falling for that?!"
Shining walked out of his office and saw his daughter trying to fly.
"Where do we start?", asked Stella
"To the kitchen", said Shining
They walked to the kitchen.
"Now what?", asked Stella
"Climb on the counter", ordered Shining
Stella climbed up on the counter. She started to get confused.
"What does this have to do with flying?", asked Stella
"Do you trust me?", asked Shining
"What?"
"Do you trust me?"
"Of course, Daddy"
"Then I want you to jump off the counter and fly to the kitchen door and into my arms", explained Shining walking to the kitchen door and holding out his arms
"Ok"
Stella started flapping her wings. At first, she started to float, but fell on the counter. She tried again, and she succesfully flew off the counter. She flew into her father's hooves.
"I DID IT DADDY", cheered Stella "I DID IT"
"You sure did, now for Level 2"
"But I can fly now"
"No, your starting to fly. Come with me Stell-Bell"
They walked into the hallway to the courtyard. Shining used his magic to levitate Stella to the top of the stairs.
"Daddy, what are we doing now?", asked Stella
"I want you to fly from the top of the stairs to my hooves", explained Shining
"But won't I get hurt?"
"No, trust me, you'll be fine"
"Ok"
Stella successfully flew from the top of the stairs to her father's hooves.
"I DID IT", cheered Stella
"Good job, now for Level 3"
"Ok"
They walked to the balcony of the crystal palace. Suddenly, Shining teleported to the front of the palace.
"OK, NOW I WANT YOU TO FLY OFF THE BALCONY AND INTO MY HOOVES", called Shining
"WHAT?! ARE YOU CRAZY?!", asked Stella
"I WILL CATCH YOU"
"BUT ITS WAY TO HIGH"
"HEY THIS IS HOW I TAUGHT SKYLA, AND IS SHE DEAD?!"
"…No"
"BESIDES, YOUR MOM DID THE SAME THING BEFORE SHE DEFEATED KING SOMBRA WITH THE CRYSTAL HEART"
"SHE DID?!"
"YEAH, NOW JUMP"
Stella was scared at first, but she jumped off the balcony. She flapped her wings and started flying.
"WOO-HOO", cheered Stella performing a loop de doop
Stella flew down to her father and gave him a hug.
"Am I done now?", asked Stella
"Yup, your done", replied Shining
"YAY, I CAN FLY"
"You sure can, sweetie"
