//------------------------------// // In which Loki steals Thor's hammer // Story: Ponyvengers Assemble! // by EeveeHawkFan //------------------------------// "Don't be such a chicken Cap!" Two young colts were standing on a cliff, a red Pegasus with brown eyes; as well, a messy brown mane and short tail, alongside him were a light blue-coated earth pony with a bright yellow short mane and tail, his eyes a sky blue. "It's Captain for you Stark, and I'm not a chicken!" The blue pony, code named 'Captain Equestria' (though his name is actually Steve Rogers) replied, 'Iron Pony' (He’s called Tony Stark), the red Pegasus, let out a sigh, "Well if you're not, then come on! It's just requires you standing on the-" Steve let a hoof right in Tony's mouth, "No. Way. I am NOT allowing you to risk your life for some old mare’s tale!" Steve had a stern look on his face, and Tony stepped back a little, "I'm telling you, the Sonic Rainboom actually happened! In addition, I am going to prove it! I just need you to jump down on a giant plank, where I'm standing on the other side, so I'll fly up reaaaaally fast!" Tony had heard about the legendary event some time ago, apparently some Pegasus filly pulled it off, and if a GIRL could do it, he would totally be able to pull it off! (Especially with his newest invention; Looks like a wing armor; but it actually makes your wings STRONGER! At least it's intended too!) "Tony... No. It's not going to happen! You don't even fly very well!" Steve groaned, starting to leave. "If YOU won't help me I guess I'll just ask Thor! Or Bruce! Because THEY'RE at least GOOD friends!" Tony shouted at the blue pony, who stopped walking at the comment, shook his head then went off. "... Dammit Steve" Tony mumbled looking down the cliff; the flying comment... had hurt. Tony weren't exactly a very good flyer... yet! However, he weren't a bad flyer either. He had often heard other ponies talking when they thought he weren't there, most thought Tony should have been born an unicorn; due to him being 'gifted with knowledge', Tony hated those ponies. He didn't want to be a girly unicorn! After a while, Tony left the cliff, not really being in mood of doing any legendary stunts today. "So Tasha... Anything coming up recently?" Clint Barton, Or Hawkeye, a purple Pegasus with a dirty blonde mane and tail asked, his eyes green alike the pony he spoke too; a pretty black unicorn with a stunning red mane and tail. "Not yet Clint, though I'm kinda worrying about Cap, he haven't returned from his... argument with Stark." She replied, not taking her eyes of the plan in front of her, big letters were spelling out 'Ponyvengers Missions!', the name 'Ponyvengers' were picked by Tony, apparently a play on the word 'avengers', for some reason he thought calling the cutie mark hunters Ponyvengers were fun. "I wouldn't worry Tash, he's just upset again. You know how their relationship it." Clint replied, rolling his eyes -though it weren't noticeable, since he were wearing his infamous purple sunglasses- Natasha chuckled "You're right Clint; those two really need to start calming down." Suddenly, with a loud clash, a certain ponies broke into the clubhouse/secret base, Stark. "URGH!" He groaned, rolling over on his back. "Hey, you two kissing or something?" He grinned looking at Clint's horrified look -oh, how he wished he had been able to see Clint's eyes- "You did not just say that Stark!" Hawkeye threatened, "Because you two are tooootally dating, its sooooo obvious!" Tony mocked. Clint flew over slamming his quiver right into Tony's stomach. Resulting in lots of red feathers flying around. Walking around the town were calming for Bruce, a greyish green earth pony with small glasses covering his brown eyes, his dark brown curly mane and a short somewhat curly tail. His flank blank, just like his... friends? Bruce weren't exactly sure what to call them; did he even consider them his friends? More importantly, did they consider him their friend? Bruce continued walking down the road, ignoring the obvious broken following hoof steps from a pony following him. "Just come out" He said aloud, stopping. With a lightning bolt's speed -literary- a pony landed in front of him, a golden maned pony, with a sand brown coat and big blue eyes. Though most thought this pony, Thor, to be a Pegasus, a closer look lets one notice the stumpy almost fully hidden in mane hair, horn. Thor weren't a normal pony after all, he were actually the crown prince of Asgard! (Sort of, it's complicated really) "Friend Bruce! You are certainly smart to hear me!" Thor said, hugging Bruce tightly. "S-sure, p-pleas-please let go... can't br-breath" Bruce rasped, Thor's eyes widened and let go quickly, "I am sorry Friend! Sometimes I forget you ponies are weaker than us Aesir..." The thunder pony quickly had a smile covering his face again, yet his eyes were somewhat serious. "Our friends wanted me to fetch you! Something horrible has happened!" Ponyvengers Base - All Six Ponies is in place "Who did what now?" Tony asked, looking as unimpressed as ever, Steve led out a loud sigh at the red Pegasus' attitude, -WHY did he have to be such a PAIN?!- Natasha used her magic to levitate some papers, sending them over to Tony. "This guy is Loki, Thor's little brother, but don't let that fool you! Apparently, he is a pain, and well... he stole Thor's hammer (plush)! We need to get it back; otherwise Thor won't have anything to defend himself with." The black unicorn recapped, levitating the paper clipped on a board behind her, revealing a picture of the hammer. Tony mumbled a "We all know Loki" under his breath. "Thor, please tell us all that happened," She then said, turning her attention to the sand colored pony. "Well, my brother took Mjolnir when I weren't looking... Therefore, I am afraid I do not have much to say... Except that, Mjolnir is only for those worthy! It's a great crime to steal it!" He slammed his front hooves onto the table in front of him to show how serious he thought it were. Bruce quietly asked, "So... we're holding a meeting because Thor lost his toy?" The Plan: Thor and Tony were going to searching the sky for Loki, meanwhile Natasha and Clint were going to check the town (and Thor's house), and Bruce and Steve were going to look in the outskirts of the city. CLINT AND NATASHA Clint and Natasha started over at Thor's house Clint knocked the door steadily. No response. "Maybe they're out? Thor's family is usually busy after all..." Clint suggested, tilting his head slightly. "We still need to look for clues here Clint, maybe they left a window open..." the Black Widow responded, starting to walk around the building. Clint followed quickly "Wait, you want us to break in?! Are you crazy! What if Thor's parents comes home!" The purple Pegasus flew in front of his friend, "Please Natasha; you don't wanna see them angry!" The unicorn shook her head, "Clint, please. We're just gonna check Thor and Loki's room for clues, if they come home we'll just say Thor let us in, but he's currently out looking for the others." She had her head shaken in such way, that her mane beautifully landed on her cheeks. "Now Clint, let's find an open window." TONY AND THOR Tony made a spin in the air, he might now be the best at landing yet, but he did really well in the air. Thor were eyeing the ground nervously. "Calm down Thunder Tights, Loki is like, tiny. He can't have gone far, it won't surprise me if he's home at your place and Clint and Natasha already found him." He let himself turn around enough to have his wings and back face the ground, casually flying alongside Thor. "Please Iron Pony, we mustn't think little of Loki, he may be young... but he's really tricky. You cannot and should not underestimate him!" "Whatever you say big guy." Tony said, scoffing slightly. BRUCE AND STEVE "Why do you dislike Tony so much?" Bruce asked quietly, he had been curious about the exact reason of the two ponies not being able to stand each other for a long time now. "Well... he's just so... so... annoying!" The fellow earth pony responded, almost shouting the respond at Bruce. "Annoying...? That’s your reason for disliking him? Clint's annoying too sometimes, but you don't seem to dislike him." The greenish pony responded, with a faint smug smile on his face. "It's not the same! ... Hold on! We're here." Steve responded, stopping on front of the edge of a forest. "There's nothing here..." Steve said, feeling annoyed by the fact no pony were to be seen. Him and Bruce had been searching for hours and still no Loki! HOW could ONE PONY be so hard to find?! "Well... If I were Loki... I'd probably hide were no pony would assume I'd hide at..." Bruce commented quietly, his hooves hurt from all the walking and running around town. "...BRUCE! You're a genius!" Steve shouted out, starting to run toward the town "Come on! I know where Loki is!"
