"Rarity should we go say hi to them?" Belle asked.
Her sister replied,"Of course we should. I haven't seen Suri and Coco in over 5 years. They left Pokeville to pursue their dreams of becoming fashion icons. I wonder what they are doing here."
The two sisters walked over to Nurse Joy's desk. Coco then noticed them and tapped on Suri's shoulder.
"Huh. Is that... Rarity?" said Suri.
"I think so."
"Could you excuse us for a moment Nurse Joy?"
Nurse Joy answered, "Sure. It will take some time for me to get everything since I just ran out of ball capsules. I'll be back in a few minutes with them."
Joy put a sign that said temporally closed on the desk and went into the closet behind her desk and closed the door.
"I never thought I would see you two again. Isn't that right Coco?" said Suri.
"Yea."
Rarity then asked, "How have you two been?"
"We have been doing ok, but our fashion carriers aren't." said Coco.
Suri then said,"Well you see we opened a small shop here in the city, but it didn't do so well so we had to close it down. What a shame."
"What an awful thing to happen to you. I am so sorry Suri and Coco." said Rarity.
"It's ok Rarity. Really. We didn't like that job anyway." Coco replied.
Belle then asked,"So what did you do after you closed down the shop?"
"Well let me tell you little one. Coco one day at our apartment turned on the TV to last year's Hoenn Grand Festival. I saw the coordinators having so much fun making their Pokemon shine and look amazing. Then memories of me competing at the town festival started to pop up in my head. I then called my parents and asked them what I should do. They told me to do whatever I thought was best. So after hours of thinking I decided to become a Pokemon Coordinator. So for the last year Coco and me traveled all over the Kanto region together.I did manage to get to the grand festival but lost in the second round. On our journey Coco was their cheering me on while learning about the profession of a Poke Stylist."
"What is a Poke Stylist Coco?" Belle asked.
"I'd be glad to tell you. It's a different type of Pokemon Coordinator that styles both trainers and pokemon.I already had a talent for creating clothing so I decided to apply it Pokemon too. However, I'm still in training."
"I for one are very happy for you darling. So I guess that you are competing in the contest tomorrow Suri?"said Rarity.
She nodded.
"Then I look forward to competing against you, and may the best girl win!"
Nurse Joy came out with a big box labeled Ball Capsules and put it on the desk. She then took out 6 ball capsules and gave them to Suri.
"Thank you so much Nurse Joy."
"You are very welcome Suri. Have a nice day." the nurse replied.
"We will. Come on Coco let's go get me registered. Wait! Rarity would you and your sis like to come with us to sign up?"
"Well we were actually...." said Sweetie.
Rarity put her hand over her sister's mouth and then said, "We would love to accompany you. Isn't that right Sweetie?"
Sweetie Belle nodded quickly.
"Great. Come on follow me." said Coco.
So the four girls went to the contest hall and signed up for the contest. After this Sweetie and Rarity went back to the center and had some dinner. Opal, Diamond, and Ava were enjoying their Pokemon Food. Then Dawn walked up to the two in a cute pink dress and did a cute curtsy.
"So what do you two think of my dress?" Dawn asked.
"Oh my goodness. Dawn it's gorgeous! The fabric is soft but flowy. The color pops but isn't clashing with your hair, and the cute accessories are just perfect! It's lovely and you look great in it." Rarity commented.
"Thanks Rarity. My mom made it for me."
"Wow. You have one talented mother then. I just hope my dress is alright."
"I'm sure it will be. Well I have to get back to Brock and Ash. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Bye!"
After dinner Rarity and Sweetie headed to bed. Rarity was so nervous and anxious she couldn't sleep. So she decided to head to the Pokemon Center's roof to talk with Opal and Diamond.
"Diamond, Opal come on out." she whispered.
Opal and Diamond yawned when they came out of their balls.
"I'm so sorry for waking you both, but I just wanted to say something. I wouldn't be here right now if it wasn't for you two. You're the reason that I will be competing in that contest tomorrow. I just can't thank you enough. Are you two ready?"
Both nodded.
"Ok then. Just remember Diamond is our first round and Opal is second. Now, all I want is for both of you to try your best ok?"
"Glaceon. Glac." said Diamond.
"Meow. Meow." said Opal.
"Good. Now, let's head back to bed."
Rarity went back to her room, and went to bed.

Today is the day everyone has been waiting for: the day of the Jubilife City Pokemon Contest. Rarity and Sweetie Belle were at the contest hall early to get ready for the event. Sweetie helped Rarity with her hair and makeup in the dressing room. Rarity now was changing into her dress.
"So sis which dress did you bring for contests?" Belle asked.
"Well...I had a lot of choices, but I ultimately decided on one that's elegant but not too elegant. It's flashy, but no so much that it will take away attention from my Pokemon. I'm ready."
Rarity walked out from behind the changing curtain. In true Rarity fashion she made a dashing pose.
"She then said,"Well what do you think? A bit too much?"
Sweetie Belle was speechless. She then said, "Lose the mask."
Rarity took it off. Suddenly, Suri and Coco walked in.
"Oh...my..gosh. Rarity you look amazing!" said Coco
"Really?! Oh thank you so much. It took me forever to find which dress was perfect for this sort of thing. I'm glad you all like it." said Rarity
"Well Coco it's time for me to get ready." Suri stated.
Rarity then said "Belle it's time for you to head into the stands."
"What? I want to be with you!"
"I'm sorry but according to the rules you must be in the stands if not a competitor unless you have permission from the heads of the contest."
"Awe." Sweetie said as she pouted.
"Hey! I know. When Dawn gets here I'll ask her if Ash and Brock can watch you. Is that alright?"
"Yea I guess."
Sweetie and Rarity walked out of the room to see Ash, Brock, and Dawn headed down the hallway.
"Hey. It's just who I wanted to see." said Rarity.
"Rarity you look amazing! I especially like the color scheme.", said Dawn.
"Thank you very much, but I need a favor. Ash, Brock could you sit with Belle during the contest please. I would really appreciate it."
"Sure. That sounds great." said Ash.
"Thank you so much. Now, Belle don't get into any trouble. That goes for you two Ava."
They both nodded.
"We will make sure she's alright. Good luck to you both in the first round. I know you both will be great!" said Brock.
"Right!" the girls replied.
So Ash and Brock took Belle to their seats, and Rarity headed to the waiting room where the other competitors were. Some were doing last minute grooming and feeding with their Pokemon. Suri came in the room after 30 minutes wearing a gorgeous dress with the upper being a bright tea fabric with a silver ring holding the fabric. The bottom of the dress had a purple fancy swirl print, and the bottom didn't extend out to far. It was fit to her body. Her hair was in a cute bun with a purple headband. Her shoes were teal flats.
"So do you like my dress?" Suri asked.
"I...I love it! Did you make this?"
"Actually Coco made it for me. It's totally amazing isn't it, and is the best dress here."
Rarity started to get angry, but kept her cool.
"Well good for you. Now, if you excuse me I must head to the dressing room to fix my....my.... eyelashes. Yea! My eyelashes. Gotta go! "
She ran quickly into the dressing room to see Dawn being helped by an orange haired girl wearing a white and gold suit.
"Thanks for helping me Zoey. You really saved me." said Dawn.
Zoey replied "No problem. Well good luck Dawn."
As Zoey was walking out of the room she said, "Nice dress."
Rarity said "Thank you so much. I made it my... Huh? Where did she go?"
"I guess she went to the waiting room. Come on the contest is about to start."
The two now were in the dressing room staring at the TV monitor. The TV then started up with the whole stadium in darkness except for a spotlight in the center. From under the stage came a tall woman with curly light orange hair wearing a large yellow dress. She was holding the microphone.
"Ladies and Gentlemen I Marian your announcer welcome you all to the beautiful Jubilife City and to the Jubilife City Pokemon Contest!" said Marian.
The lights came up and the stage was large with a purple curtain as a backdrop. The crowd cheered loudly.
"Coordinators and their Pokemon are competing for this lovely Jubilife Ribbon!"
Marian held up the ribbon.
"When a coordinator manages to collect five ribbons, they are eligible to compete in the Grand Festival. If you manage to win that you receive the coveted title of Top Coordinator. So winning this contest is one step closer to the Grand Festival! Now, it's time to introduce our amazing judges, and here they are!"
The curtain from behind the stage opened and standing there were two men and Nurse Joy.
"First is the man who makes this all possible Mr.Contesta head of the Pokemon Contest Committee!"
The crowd cheered for him.
Mr.Contesta then said,"Thank you. I look forward to see how well pokemon and coordinator work together."
"Next up is the head of the Pokemon Fan Club Mr.Sukizo!"
"Remarkable is the word. Thanks." he said.
The crowd cheered.
"And last but certainly not least Jubilife's own Nurse Joy!"
"Thank you. I am excited to see all of the wonderful pokemon!"
The crowd cheered the loudest for her. Brock in the stands with Belle and Ash started to go crazy.
"Oh. Nurse Joy you will be mine!"
Suddenly, out of nowhere Brock's croagunk uses Poison Jab on Brock.
"Maybe I should have stayed in bed today." Brock said as he fell to the ground.
"What was that about?" Belle asked.
"It's a long story." Ash said.
"Ok, but one of these days we will make time so you can tell me."
"Sure."
Marian then explained,"Alright now that introductions are out of the way time for the first round. In this round Coordinators have their Pokemon performing their moves in order to showcase their beauty and talent."
"Dawn dear where is Zoey?" Rarity asked.
"I don't know. She said she was going to compete."
"And now, for contestant number one Zoey!" Marian said.
The curtain opened and Zoey was standing still. She took her Poke Ball and was ready to start.
She shouted as she threw her Poke Ball," Misdreavus curtain!"
The ball opened with a cloud of smoke from the seal on the ball capsule. Misdreavus was in the smoke, and all you could see was the silhouette."
"Use Double Team."
The ghost pokemon made four copies and they started to circle around the real one.
"What a perfect way to show off her pokemon. Don't you agree Dawn?" Rarity commented.
"Yea so mysterious." said Dawn.
Suri in the corner thought, I could do better. Just wait till it's my turn. I will blow everyone away!
"Let me check it out on my dex Rarity." said Dawn.
The dex said, "Misdreavus, the Screech Pokémon. Misdreavus loves being mischievous by pulling people's hair and shocking them."
Back on the stage Zoey put her hand up and said,"Now, Confuse Ray!"
The real misdreavus' silhouette started to glow a bright purple. Suddenly, the copies were dispatched with their gems glowing thus the smoke cloud was destroyed.
"Wow! That was awesome!" said Belle.
"Eevee!" said Ava.
"She really knows what she is doing." said Ash.
Zoey then said,"Finish up with a Shock Wave!"
The ghost pokemon started to glow a bright yellow and looked electrified. It then sent out several waves of electricity.
Zoey's sure tough. She is not only showing her pokemon perfectly, but she is also showing how powerful they are too. She's going to be hard to beat thought Rarity.
After several waves sparkles created from the attacks fell from the sky showering both Zoey and her pokemon. Misdreavus landed on her trainer's hand to finish the performance.
The crowd cheered really loud. A few of them chanted Zoey's name.
Marian then said,"It's almost like Misdreavus and Zoey were joined at the hip. Electrifying!"
"Showing her pokemon in silhouette made for a really well done performance." Mr. Contesta said.
Mr.Sukizo added,"And Remarkable."
"What a way to show off her pokemon and it's moves. Totally first rate!" said Joy.
Marian then said,"You don't hear Nurse Joy say first rate all that often so when you do it's a rave! Now, it's time for our next contestant!"
After ten people went it was finally time for Suri's performance. Coco was watching intently from the stands.
"Now, it's time for the Sinnoh contest debut of contestant number eleven Suri!" Marian said into the Mic.
The curtain opened once again and Suri had a confident smile on her face.
"Let's see how much if you have changed at all Suri." Rarity mumbled.
"Did you say something?" asked Dawn.
"Oh. It's nothing darling."
"Isn't this girl your friend?"
"Yes. She is from my hometown, but she left a long time ago."
"Isn't that interesting." said Zoey.
The girls turned to see Zoey with her glameow.
"Oh I never got to introduce myself earlier. My name is Rarity Mclane. A pleasure to meet you Zoey. Great job by the way"
"The pleasure is all mine Rarity. So how long have you known her for?"
"Quite a while. She used to be the one to win our town's contests."
"Huh?" said Dawn and Zoey.
Suri then said,"Leavanny appear before us!"
She threw her ball, and Leavanny appeared with flower petals surrounding her as she landed on the stage.
"Oh my! It's not every day you see a Leavanny in a Sinnoh contest. So this will be a real treat." Marian said.
"What is that Pokemon Rarity?"
"Just let me show you on my dex."
She scanned it. Zoey and Dawn were ready to hear what it says.
It said,"Leavanny, the Nurturing Pokémon and the evolved form of Swadloon. When Leavanny finds a small Pokémon it makes clothing for it with its arm cutters, using leaves and sticky silk."
"Now, use Sunny Day!" Suri shouted.
"Leavanney!" the pokemon said as it shot a golden energy ball straight up. It created a sparkling surge of lights.
"What gorgeous Sunny day!" Marian said.
"Let's show them your Bug Buzz! Go!"
The pokemon's arms started to glow red and shockwaves of that same red color were sent out. Once they collided with the Sunny Day, they absorbed the sparkle and started to look even flashier.
"Leavanny dance for us please." Suri commanded.
Using the waves created by the Bug Buzz like ribbon Leavanny starts a ribbon dance. The crowd was in awe by the stunning dance.
"What a way to show off Leavanny. So unique." Zoey said.
Rarity then said, "Not that unique."
"Come again?"
"This is the same routine that Suri did every year at our annual contest."
"Huh?"
"Now, for the big finish. Toss the Bug Buzz in the air."
The pokemon twirled the ribbons and then threw them straight up.
"Use Solar Beam!"
Since Sunny Day was in effect, the beam took no time to charge. She fired it straight from her mouth. The beam hit the ribbons and once they collided it showered the stage with red and yellow sparkles. Finally the bug/grass Pokemon made a nice ballerina pose.
The crowd cheered really loud. It was louder than all of the ones from the previous performances.
"And with a cute pose from Leavanny this unique and wonderful performance ends." said Marian.
"Using the entire stage to help show off her Pokemon is just what I like to see." Mr.Contesta said.
Mr.Sikuzo "Very Remarkable indeed."
"A Pokemon ribbon dance how graceful!" said Nurse Joy!
"Now, for our next contestant!" said Marian.
"I hate to admit it but that was pretty good." said Sweetie.
"Yea. She really knows how to use the entire stage. A great skill to have." Brock added.
"Sure it was good, but Dawn and Rarity's will be way better right buddy?"
"Pikachu!"
"Yea. You're right Ash! When do they go on Brock?" Sweetie asked.
"According to this pamphlet they gave us Dawn is 29th and Rarity is 30th. The last two to go."
"Perfect! They are saving the best for last!"
"Yea. I can't wait!"
After 18 more fierce competitors took the stage, it was finally time for Dawn to go. She was pretty nervous, but Rarity reassured her that she would be fine. She was behind the curtain waiting for Marian to announce her.
"Alright folks the rounds almost over, but let's keep that fantastic energy up. Next, is a competitor from the small town of Twinleaf. She is the daughter of former Top Coordinator Johanna, and it's time for her debut! Now, presenting number twenty nine Dawn!"
When the curtain went up and Dawn felt really nervous when she could see the stadium full of people. She thought, No need to worry. No need to worry. You'll be fine!
"Ok it's time. Now, piplup spotlight!" she said cheerfully.
The ball opened and the little Penguin Pokemon appeared with bubbles surrounding it. The bubbles bounced off the stage and started heading in the air.
"Use Bubblebeam!"
Piplup fired a large Bubblebeam and the bubbles made from it combined with seal's bubbles. The bubbles were spinning like a tornado.
"Peck!"
Piplup's beck started to glow, but then it reached out making it bigger along with the point at the end.
"Not bad." said Zoey.
"Alright Piplup let's go!" Dawn said as she pointed towards the sky.
Piplup quickly started to pop the bubbles one by one with it's long beak. It was so fast you could barely see it happening. Once all the bubbles were gone the sparkles from them came from the air and showered over piplup and Dawn. Piplup made a cute pose with Dawn.
"And a cute pose finishes off this cute routine!" Marian exclaimed
"What a blend of tough and cute. It kept me interested the whole time!" Mr.Contesta commented.
Mr.Sukizo said,"It's remarkable!"
"That performance really showed piplup's talents. Well done indeed!" Nurse Joy said.
"Great job Dawn!" shouted Ash.
"Piplup you were great!" said Brock.
"What they said!" shouted Belle.
Dawn and piplup walked out of the stage into the hallway behind the stage. They then saw Rarity there.
"Great job Dawn." said Rarity.
"Thank you. To be honest I am relieved that it is over. Know that I will be cheering for you all the way!"
"Thanks."
The two high fived and Rarity walked on to the part of the stage that was behind the curtain.
"Everynone it's time for our final performance of the day. This is another girl making her contest debut. Hailing from the Equestria region and originally from Pokeville here is the contestant number thirty Rarity!" said Marian.
The curtain opened, and Rarity walked a few steps while waving. She then pulled out her Pokeball and kissed it.
"Our time has come Diamond. I know you won't let me down." she whispered.
"Alright time to start! Diamond it's time for you to show everyone your fabulous!" she said as she threw the ball.
Diamond came out surrounded by snowflakes from the seal and did two front flips and then landed on the stage.
"What an entrance! Time to see what Diamond can do!" said Marian.
"Darling time for Ice Beam."
"Glaceeeeeon!"
Diamond froze the entire stage. In the center was a circle of pointed ice structures in the middle.
"Wow your sis really knows what she is doing." said Ash,
"Hmph. If you think this is good just wait and see what's next." said Belle.
"Diamond skate around the stage using Quick Attack."
Diamond nodded to her trainer, and started to skate. She jumped over the rocks and flipped. The fans were really into it.
"Skating with grace. Just what I'd expect from a well-trained ice type Pokemon." said Zoey.
Dawn replied, "You're right. Just amazing."
"Alright now jump!" Rarity said.
Diamond jumped into the air and flipped a few more times and landed in the center of the stage.
"Time to show everyone what you do best. Freeze your fur!"
Glaceon's fur slowly turned into icicles. She froze it in a way that made it look like a dress made of ice.
"This is spectacular! Diamond has frozen it's fur into a beautiful dress of ice! Truly a sight to behold." Marian said.
The crowd cheered loudly. Ash, Brock, Suri, Dawn, and Zoey were in shock by what Diamond just did. They were all very impressed. Suri got really envious.
"Time for our final move. Use Hidden Power!"
Bright pink orbs surrounded Diamond and the light reflecting off the hidden power reflected off the dress causing it to sparkle and shine beautifully. The other ice of the field eventually had the same shine and sparkle. Diamond made the Didden Power collide with each other causing sparkles to rain down on itself.
Marian then said "An amazing end to an amazing performance. Let's hear it for Diamond and Rarity!"
The crowd cheered loudly and started to clap.
"You were great as always." said Rarity.
Sweetie shouted,"Great job sis! Wohoo!"
"Eevee! Eevee!"
"Way to go!" Ash shouted.
Back in the waiting room. Dawn was talking with Zoey.
"Zoey why was that Hidden Power pink?" Dawn asked.
"Simple. Hidden Power is a move where it's attack type varies among different Pokemon. Since it was pink I'm guessing that Diamond has a psychic type Hidden Power."
"Awesome."
"Never have I seen a performance that uses ice so perfectly. Well done." Mr.Contesta said.
Mr.Sukizo commented, "Yes, and remarkable as well."
"A dress made out of ice. So enchanting." said Joy.
"Folks that is it for Round 1. Now, in a few minutes we will see which eight coordinators are moving on to Round Two! Stay tuned!" said Marian.
When Rarity and Diamond walked into the waiting room everyone started to clap.
"Thank you all very much. You're making me blush." Rarity said.
Zoey and Dawn walked up to her.
"I have to say for your official first time you did amazing." said Zoey.
"Well thank you Zoey darling. Did you like it Dawn?"
"Liked it?.....I loved it! It was absolutely amazing. How did Diamond learn to do freeze it's fur in the shape of a dress?"
"Well it wasn't easy, but before I left Equestria I wanted to perfect that move. Practice does make perfect you know."
Diamond jumped in Rarity's arms.
"Diamond thank you very much." Rarity said while hugging her Pokemon.
"Glac. Glac."
"Thank you all for being patient." Marian said on the TV.
"We now have the results to the first round. And here they are!"
Who will make it Round Two? Who will win the Jubilife Ribbon? Will Rarity win her first ribbon? These questions and more will be answered as the story continues.
