Shortly after that incident with Heartbeat, Twilight and Blue returned to the library with Spike and Heartbeat, where she was playing in a corner with Mr. Tedy, while the others didn’t arrive. When they arrived, with Applejack, Rarity and Rainbow Dash saying everything was fine with Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, Twilight and Blue began to tell them who Heartbeat really was, saying she was the General of Affection. Of course, for that, they had to tell about Blue’s mission and what they had to do. When Twilight and Blue finished, they didn’t want to believe.
"So basically, you're saying that Heartbeat, that filly in there playing with a teddy bear, is one of those Generals of Order who were the followers of a Princess Aurora who ruled a kingdom that was, or is, the source of all good magic?" Rainbow Dash asked. "You are taking something, don't you?"
"I know it's hard to believe" Blue said.
"Ah think it’s better ya say virtually impossible" Applejack said.
"But it's true, girls" Twilight said. "Celestia and Luna knew the Light Kingdom, Princess Aurora and the Generals of Order."
But it seemed that, even so, they seemed not to believe.
"Twilight, darling, I'm sorry, but this is too surreal" Rarity said. "It's too much information to profess, besides being quite complicated."
"I believe in the story" Pinkie said.
"Pinkie, you believe that Santa Ponie exists" Rainbow Dash said.
"And he doesn't exist?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"I agree with Pinkie" Fluttershy said. "We've seen things pretty hard to believe, so I think we can believe in something like this."
"Yes, I believe" said Spike. "Not only because I've always found Heartbeat quite strange for a normal filly, but also because I am and I will always be beside Twilight."
"Thank you, Spike" Twilight said with a smile to her faithful dragon assistant.
Rainbow Dash, Applejack and Rarity exchanged a look and then Applejack said:
"Yeah, we believe too. After all, we're friends and we help our friends always."
Twilight smiled at her friends, thanking them.
“So, what can we do?” Rainbow Dash asked.
"Well, the first thing you have to do is not to tell anypony about this" Blue said. "It's too important."
"Ya have our word" Applejack said, while the others waved.
"Good, now I think it's best we try to retrieve Heartbeat’s star seed as soon as possible" Blue said. "It's the only way to control her more effectively."
"And just out of curiosity" Rainbow Dash said. "By the way, do you know where this star seed is?"
That was a good question, a question to which Blue was not able to respond. It was then that Twilight said:
"I think I know."
That made everypony look at her.
"Are you sure, Twilight?" Blue asked.
"I think so" she replied. "At least."
"What do you mean?" Spike asked.
"When I fainted after Heartbeat hit me with her magic beam, I had a kind of vision" Twilight said. "I saw the fall of the Generals of Order's star seeds, including I saw where is Heartbeat’s."
"Ah, Twilight, darling, don't you think that might have been because the blow?" Rarity asked.
"No, Rarity, what I saw was real" Twilight replied. "I'm sure of it. It seemed a kind of telepathic link with Heartbeat. I had access to her memories suppressed by the absence of her star seed. What matters is that I saw where the star seed is."
"And where is it?" Fluttershy asked.
"In the Oasis of the Heart" Twilight replied.
That answer left everypony speechless.
"In the oasis?" Rarity repeated.
"That place very beautiful where you and Blue kissed for the first time and turned into your special place for when you want to be alone and where there are trees with red leaves?" Pinkie asked, saying everything in one time, breathing deeply after saying that.
"Are you sure about that, my love?" Blue asked.
"Absolute" Twilight replied. "The star seed is there, inside the great tree. It grew up around the seed when it landed. Now, seeing in retrospect, everything fits."
"What do you mean?" Applejack asked.
"Well, according to the book that talks about the Oasis of the Heart, it was created when a shooting star fell in the arctic" Twilight replied. "This shooting star must have been the star seed. It created the great tree and then all the rest of the oasis. The light from the leaves should reflect the star seed's light and as we are talking about containing the General of Affection’s light, that must be why that oasis increases the emotions and the feelings of anypony who gets in there."
Blue thought about what Twilight had just said and agreed with her. It had all the logic as possible.
"I think you're right" Blue said. "I think worth investigating. We have to go to oasis to verify it."
"Wait, does that mean we're going to the Oasis of the Heart?" asked Rarity, starting to get excited. "Oh, I can't believe I'm going to see that wonderful place!"
"Yes, I'm also anxious" Fluttershy said gently. "Just hearing about the trees, I feel a great desire to see the Oasis of the Heart."
"Oh, it's going to be super-duper exciting!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed.
"Well, Ah suppose we can go up there" Applejack said.
"Yeah, I suppose so" Rainbow Dash said.
"Good, I'm going to pack things" Spike said.
"Spike, I'm sorry, but I think you'd better stay here" Twilight said.
"What?" asked Spike. "Why?"
"In case we need some information from the library" Twilight replied. "And also for other reasons."
"It's amazing" Spike mumbled. "You can go and have all the fun, but I have to stay here."
Twilight and Blue then approached Heartbeat and then the first said:
"Hey, Heartbeat, you want to come with us to a place?"
"Where are we going?" Heartbeat asked.
"To a beautiful place" Blue answered. "You're going to love it."
"So yes, I’ll come with you" Heartbeat said.
"Okay, girls" Twilight said to her friends. "Get your things. Let's go to the Crystal Empire."
Her friends nodded, and then they went to prepare their saddlebags and so they could embark to the Crystal Empire.
Twilight just hoped that her hunch was right. Heartbeat's star seed had to be at the Oasis of the Heart. She was sure about that, if they could get it back, they could have the true Heartbeat back and so maybe they could deduce where the others star seeds were to then find the original star seed and thus restore the Light Kingdom.
Later, at the train station, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie were waiting for Twilight, Blue and Heartbeat, both with their saddlebags ready.
"But where are they?" Rainbow Dash asked, flying from one side to the other. "They are taking so long."
"Relax, Rainbow" Applejack said. "Tha train has not arriv’d yet."
"Yes, but, knowing Twilight as we know her, she'd be here long before us" Rarity said. "We're almost at the last minute."
"Well, we must not forget that there are still Blue and Heartbeat" Fluttershy said. "Maybe they..."
"Oh, here they come!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed, jumping and pointing. "Here they come!"
Twilight, Blue and Heartbeat arrived, with Twilight and Blue carrying their saddlebags and Heartbeat just bringing her teddy bear.
"I thought you wouldn’t come, guys" Rainbow Dash said. "You still complain about my delays."
"I'm sorry, girls, but I didn't feel well before we left" Twilight said.
"Twilight, you've been like that for a few days" said Blue, looking worried. "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Yes, Blue, I'm fine" Twilight replied. "You don't have to worry about."
"Are you sure?" he insisted.
"I'm fine" Twilight said. "It must be all this. The concern makes me sick."
"Well said" Rainbow Dash said. "Twilight’s reaction when she gets anxious is worse than when Rarity..."
But she didn’t finish, because the glance Rarity made her made her say:
"Never mind."
They heard a whistle and then the train that would take them to the Crystal Empire arrived. When it stopped and the doors opened, they left the ponies who were inside leave the train and then they entered, going then to North.
In the distance, watching them leaving, it was somepony in the shadows. His red eyes glowed with a strange violet mist. It was then that the pony turned into shadow and lifted in the air, following the train.
