"Advanced calculus? Who takes advanced calculus?" Said the rainbow haired one while looking at Twilight's schedule.
"Well, I actually kind of like math." Said Twilight trying to sound as nice as she possibly could.
"Are you an egghead?" Said rudely Rainbow Dash.
"Rainbow, be nice!" Said Applejack.
"But seriously, who likes math? Eggheads, that's who!"
Just keep smiling, Twi. Don't let her get to you.
After that thought, two girls appeared. One was wearing a yellow dress and had long pink hair that covered her face. The other was a stunning girl with purple hair who was wearing a very fancy white dress. Twilight recognized the second one, but she didn't remember where?
"Oh. Twi, this here is Fluttershy." Said Applejack pointing at the pink haired one.
"Nice to meet you." Said Twilight cheerfully.
"Hi." Fluttershy squeaked. She seemed rather shy. Which made Twilight chuckle since her name was indeed Flutter-SHY.
"And this is Rarity." Said Pinkie who seemed rather exited to see her friend.
Rarity looked at Twilight head to toe, Twilight felt a little intimidated.
"Aren't you in my class?" Asked Rarity. "It’s Twilight Sparkle, right?"
"Now I remember you. You're the girl who asked what they wore at my old school, right?" Asked Twilight, finally remembering the girl.
"Yes, that was me. You never did answer me." Rarity pouted.
"Oh, sorry. We all had uniforms." Rarity gasped, Twilight was confused.
"Uniforms? Oh my! I can't possibly imagine wearing the same thing every day." Words could not describe how hard Twilight rolled her eyes.
Oh, brother.
"So Twilight, what are you into? Girls, boys or both?” Asked out of nowhere Rarity. Twilight almost choked on her egg sandwich.
"Excuse me?"
"Don't worry, we don't judge. Both Rainbow and Applejack are homo." The two girls glared at Rarity. She mouthed sorry. "As I was saying, what are you? Straight, gay, bisexual?"
" Aren't you being a little forward?" Said the shy one.
"I like to know. Twilight, but if it does bother you..."
"No, doesn't bother me at all. Because I'm straight. I am so straight. I’m as straight as a... stripper pole!" The girls around her just started laughing.
Smooth.
"I have a feeling we're all going to become very good friends." Said Rarity as the girls nodded in agreement.
Friends?
Twilight smiled at the thought of her having friends. But she didn't even know the first thing about friendship! She never took classes. Can you even learn friendship?
"Hey, Twilight." When Twilight turned around, she saw a familiar face. It was Flash Sentry, Twilight couldn't help but smile.
"Um, hey Flash. I like your jacket, it's sexy." Twilight blurted out. Flash smiled and continued his path.
Twilight felt her cheeks burn red. She also felt the eyes of the five other girls on her.
"What the hell was that?" Asked Rainbow Dash.
"What?"
"Um,hey Flash. Your jacket is sexy." Said Rainbow making fun of Twilight.
"Ooh, I think somebody's got a crush." Said AJ staring at Twilight, making her blush slightly.
"She does!" Exclaimed Pinkie Pie.
"Well, if you do. My advice is to get over it quickly." Said Rarity.
"Why? I'm not saying that I like him but because I don't. I just want to know. For research" Said Twilight
"You see that girl with the fiery hair? That's Sunset Shimmer, the most popular and manipulative girl you'll ever meet." Explained Rarity.
"Seems kind of clichéd." Said Twilight who's seen enough movies to know.
"It is. But it doesn't end there, Flash is her boyfriend! Flash Sentry; popular boy who also plays the guitar. And Sunset Shimmer won't let any girl touch him."
"Also very clichéd." Twilight felt like she was in Mean Girls. A movie she enjoyed watching very much.
"It's clichéd but we all know no one should mess with Sunset Shimmer. She's the Regina George of this school." Said Fluttershy.
She finally talked!
Twilight arrived home and WOW was she tired. As she entered, her little dog Spike ran towards her.
"Hey, boy! Did you miss me? Yeah, me too. “Twilight really loved that dog.
She entered the kitchen and saw a note from her parents saying that they get home soon. Twilight started her homework for next week. She was very punctual. About ten minutes in, her cell phone rang. A part of her wanted it to be Applejack, yet she didn't know why.
"Hello?"
"Hey, egghead." Twilight was very disappointed.
Oh, it's her.
"What do you want, Rainbow?" Said Twilight, slightly annoyed with the jock. “And by the way, how'd you get my number."
"That's not important. Freckles said that I wasn't polite with you today and she wanted me to do something about it."
"Freckles?" Asked Twilight.
"I'M THE ONLY THAT CAN CALL HER THAT. So the girls and I are going to the mall this weekend. If you're not too busy studying, would you like to come?"
"Okay. Now, if you excuse me I have to study."
"NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERD!" Twilight hung up on the girl.
I don't like her.
The first week for Twilight was hell. She got lost a few times. Good thing she had Applejack to show her around. Saturday finally arrived. The day where Twilight and her new friends would go to the mall.
They all met around noon at the food court. Both Rainbow Dash and Applejack got pizza while the others and Twilight got sushi. AJ and Rainbow Dash were together a lot. Twilight noticed during the week that the two were very close. The two girls had a chemistry the rest just didn't have. Twilight thought about it daily, she couldn't help it. While the girls were waiting for their orders, Twilight had to ask.
"Are Rainbow and Applejack a thing?" She asked looking across the food court where Applejack and Rainbow were.
"Why do you ask, darling?" Replied Rarity.
"I've noticed some things about them. How they are with each other. I'm just curious." Said Twilight turning towards Rarity.
"Well, you were going to learn sooner or later."
"Learn what?"
"AJ and Rainbow Dash were in a relationship last year. They were happy…" Started Rarity
"Extremely happy!" Interrupted Pinkie.
"But there was a misunderstanding and they broke up. But it was just a misunderstanding. Even though they won't admit it, they obviously still have feelings for each other."
Twilight turned her gaze back to across the court. She felt a wave of disappointment. She stared at Applejack as she laughed at Rainbow Dash.
