They left Card Capital. Sweetie Belle watch from her window as her friends walked away. Still remembering that day all those years ago.

Back in the present
Sweetie Belle closed the curtains.
Apple Bloom and Scootaloo were taking a walk in the park.
“The day of the regional tournament was the anniversary of their patent death. No wonder she couldn’t make it.” said Scootaloo

“Imagine the consent reminder that your parents are gone. I guess have isn’t as good as we thought.”
“Yeah I can't believe I keep talking about how much easyer her life must be because of it.”
“I was no different. I suggested using her memory as a weapon for team Crusaders. And here I thought Sweetie Belle was being lazy. When she showed up to regionals late.”

“Anyway we got to think about Nationals. We have to convince her to rejoin the team”
Spike got up from a bench that he was laying on hearing everything Apple Bloom and Scootaloo said.
“You girls have officially ruined my afternoon nap.” said Spike

“She should quit. If she wants to quit I say we let her do it.” said Spike

At Card Capital Rarity bring in a new shipment of cards that just got in.
“There we go. Sweetie Belle do you mind coming down and help me set up the new cards?” asked Rarity
There was no answer.
“She must still be depressed. What should I do. All I can do is watch over her. I just wish there was something I could do.” She said opening the box. “Well it looks like the new booster pack and constructed decks are here.”
The door to the shop opened.
“Hello, Rarity.” said Applejack

“Is Sweetie Belle here Rarity?”
A few minutes later Sweetie Belle came down from her room and went into Card Capital.
“Oh, Sweetie Belle there you are.” said Applejack
“Applejack, hi what’s up.” said Sweetie Belle
“Actually there is something I want to ask you is that alright?”
“Yeah you can ask me. So what is it.”
“Apple Bloom seems really sad. She has been so excited for the National tournament until now.”

“With the way she has been acting. I thought there could be problems with the team and I wanted to see if you knew anything about it?”

“Well since you came all this way. Please stay awhile. Besides we just got a shipment of new cards.” said Rarity

Applejack, Rarity, and Sweetie Belle were looking at the new cards.
“I can belive some of this cards abilities. I wonder what kind of cardfight we would have with them.” said Applejack
“Would you like to try them out Applejack?” asked Rarity
“Sure.”
“Why don’t you fight her Sweetie Belle?”
“Me, sorry I’m just not in the mood.” said Sweetie Belle

They were standing across each other at the standing fight table.
“Hey, Sweetie Belle where's your deck?” asked Applejack
then she remembered what she said yesterday.
“I can’t. I’m quitting the team you just have to go to national without me.” said past Sweetie Belle putting her deck on the table and walking away.
Back in the present.
“Rarity I don’t….” said Sweetie Belle
“Don’t worry, I have it in a safe place. But for today you’ll be using this.” said Rarity levitating the new constructed decks.

“Thats right. Here, Applejack why don’t you use the Oracle Think Tank. Sweetie Belle you can use the Nova Grapplers.” said Rarity giving them the decks.
“What’s a constructed decks?” asked Applejack
“It’s a special kind of deck. That is ready to play right out of the box.”
“Don’t decks take time to put together? Also why do ponies make their own? If they can buy a premade one?”
“Well the manufactures take time in to making the constructed decks. Also some clans don’t have a constructed decks for them. They put love into making the decks. That way even new cardfighters can play.”

When Applejack said that Sweetie Belle remembered her dad.
“Sweetie Belle.” said Applejack seeing Sweetie Belle looking depressed.
“Well the cards are all you need. So let me take those empty boxes.” said Rarity taking the empty boxes.

“With support from Dark Cat I’ll have Sword Dancer Angle attack your vanguard.”

“I’ll attack your vanguard with Sword Dancer Angle supported by Lozenge Magus. Drive trigger check.”

“I end my turn by shuffling Lozenge Magus in my deck.”
“I stand and draw, I ride Death Metal Droid. I move Battering Minotaur back and call Storm. With a boost from Battleraizer, NGM Prototype attacks your vanguard. Thanks to Battleraizer support skill adds 3000 power. (No trigger) Next I’ll have Death Metal Droid attack with support from Oasis Girl.”

“Well done, Apple jack.” said Rarity ‘Sweetie Belle isn’t holding back on Applejack.’
“I end my turn by shuffling Battleraizer in my deck. Your doing well. As far as I can tell you're on your way to become a really good cardfighter. So there is no reason for me to hold back.” said Sweetie Belle
“There is still much I have to learn about the game. But this is a lot of fun.” said Applejack
“Fun.” Sweetie Belle then remembered some more of the past.
“Are you having fun Sweetie Belle? You sure like looking at those don’t you?” asked her dad
Sweetie Belle nodded her head. “Yeah there are so many neat things to learn.” said past Sweetie Belle
“Sweetie Belle says she remembers all the cards. She has a great memory.” said her mom

Rarity came into the store and seen her parents having a little argument. Then whent to play vanguard.

Returning these card back to my hoof. Then I call two Sword Dancer Angels as well a Dark Cat. When Dark Cat enters play if you have an Oracle Think Tank in the vanguard circle we may both draw a card. This activates Sword Dancer Angels skill. When I draw her power goes up by 1000. Next I call Gemini and Weather Girl Milk. I attack with Sword Dancer Angel supported by Dark Cat.”

“I guard with Ring Girl Clara.”
“I attack with Sakuya boosted by Milk. Twin drive first (no trigger), second (no trigger)”

“Now I attack with my other Sword Dancer Angle supported by Gemini.”

“Oh I know you will. In matter of fact, I wouldn’t be surprise if you became way stronger then me. If cardfighting is really what you want to do. I know you’ll be amazing at it. Each match will make you stronger and with the right friends to challenge you who knows your potential.” said her Dad
“You could even make it to the National Championship.” said her Mom
“Could you believe it. Everypony at Card Capital would be there cheering her on. And I would be out in the crowd with a huge banner.”
“A banner?” asked past Sweetie Belle
“Yeah a huge one, a gigantic one.”
Back in the present.
“So you want to be as strong as Apple Bloom?” asked Rarity
“Yeah, I have have to get strong enough to beat Apple Bloom. Before Apple Bloom was always being picked on. She had only a few friends. But now she has more and is off to compete in the national tournament. It kind of sounds like fun and I’m proud of her.” said Applejack
“When you put it like that. I know it was the right choice giving you that constructed deck to play with. Just like I said a lot of love went into making the decks. That way even new cardfighters can play this game to it’s fullest.”
Sweetie Belle remembered some more of the past.
Sweetie Belle opened a white box and in there was a deck.
“Wow my own deck.” said past Sweetie Belle in an exciting tone.
“Yeah, I put my whole heart in making that deck for you, Sweetie Belle, each single card.” said her dad
“Thank you, Dad.”

“It’s my turn. I call King of Sword as well as Queen of Heart.” said Sweetie Belle ‘Why?’ “The King attacks boosted by the Queen. The Queen’s skill adds 4000 power.”

“I intercept with Sword Dancer Angel and guard with Luck Bird and Battle Sister, Maple.”

‘All this time those were the memories I should have been focusing on. Why didn’t I try to remember them?’ “I attack with Death Metal supported by Oasis Girl, counterblast.”

“Well looks like I lost,But I had fun. We should play again sometime.” said Applejack then she notice that Sweetie Belle was crying. “Sweetie Belle.”
“Sweetie Belle.” said Rarity
“Sister, that treasure box. I can’t find, I don’t have the key. The deck our dad built for me is locked in side. I can’t open it. So can you help me find it? Please Rarity” said Sweetie Belle still crying
“You don’t have to ask. I just knew you would remember it someday. I’ve been holding on to it for your. Because I knew it unlocked something very special to you.” said Rarity giving Sweetie Belle the key.
“Thanks, sis.” Sweetie Belle went up stairs and opened the treasure box.
Sometime later.
Apple Bloom and Scootaloo were standing outside the shop.
“I’ll go I was a jerk.” said Apple Bloom
“You were a jerk I was two time a jerk. That you were.” said Scootaloo
“We can’t afford to lose Sweetie Belle as a friend and a teammate.”
“Ok let’s do this. Well beg if we have to.”
They opened the door and said. “Sweetie Belle, I’m sorry.”
“I didn’t think about your feelings.” said Apple Bloom
“That goes double for me.” said Scootaloo
“Please don’t quit the team and stop being friends with us.” said both of them
“You're late.” said Sweetie Belle
Apple Bloom and Scootaloo looked around the room and seen all the players she has defeated.
“The devastation.” said Scootaloo
“Is she on a rampage?” asked Apple Bloom
“Apple Bloom, it was incredible Sweetie Belle just beat everyone in the store.” said Applejack
“Not even one of them was a challenge for me. How am I going to train for nationals at this rate?” said Sweetie Belle
“You said nationals.” said Scootaloo
“You mean we’re a team again.” said Apple Bloom
“Yeah, also your going to cardfight me next Apple Bloom.” said Sweetie Belle
“Sure.” said Apple Bloom getting across from Sweetie Belle
“Yes.” said Scootaloo
“Just so you know I’m not going to go easy on you.”
Rarity watched as they started to play and happy that her sister was more happy then she has been in a long time.
"Here Applejack take this two deck as thank I never Sweetie Belle. This happy in a long time." said Rarity giving Applejack the deck that her and Sweetie Belle where just playing with.
"Thanks, Rarity." said Applejack
“Are you ready?” asked Sweetie Belle
“Eeyup!" said Apple Bloom
