"So, how are we doing the sleeping arrangements tonight, Twilight?"

This brings up a blush, I think I know what she's thinking. Though I'm not trying to seduce her, I'm just enjoying spending time with her. I honestly want an answer to the question.

"If it would be okay with you…" she trails off and draws circles in the plush carpet of our hotel room with a hoof.
I smile at her, "Of course, Twilight, we can share a bed. It's big enough for quite a few ponies." And yet another smile like the sun from her. How could I have ever thought of her as anything but a beautiful young lady. She bounds past me and jumps onto the bed. I follow sedately. It's been a tiring day. We have all of tomorrow and will leave the following day. Apparently Rainbow Dash went all out when it comes to the arrangements. I crawl into bed, and shortly after I've gotten situated, I look over at her. She was still trying to arrange herself, I flip over and pull her into a spoon with me. I wrap my forelegs around her barrel and push my muzzle into her mane, breathing deeply I inhale her scent. And immediately have to suppress my bodily reaction, my wings immediately wanted to extend. After closing my eyes and concentrating, I was able to relax, though feeling her relax and snuggle into my forelegs caused renewed tension that took a few more moments to suppress. Though after that struggle, I was glad to relax myself and finally fall asleep.

I awaken to lips on mine.  I open my eyes to see her closed eyes, wings extended and stiff. We've only been asleep for a couple of hours, I think. Celestia's sun is not even a glimmer on the horizon. I move to embrace her as she's kissing me and kiss her back. My eyes close as our tongues intertwine. After several minutes, or just a few seconds, I can't tell time in such a situation, I pull back a bit and open my eyes.

"Is this what I think it is?"

She blushes and nods. I put a hoof on her cheek. "You really want to?"

Have I mentioned how cute this mare is when she blushes? Well, she just got a lot cuter. I lean forward and kiss her.
"I've never done this as a pony, you know that Twi."

She nods, "Well, I've never done this at all."

I smile at her, "I'm always up for a new learning experience."

I get a very aggressive kiss in response. She breaks away, "You know I am. Maybe you can teach me some of what you learned as a human."

By the feeling of my face, I'm blushing as hard as she was. "I think I learned a few things that might apply in this situation."
She moves her body to be even closer to me as she kisses me again, I can feel my wings extend, and other parts of my body respond. This is quick, but I hope not too quick.

"I love you, Twilight." Her response is non verbal, but has the same meaning.

The sun is rising, I found out how long we had been asleep. We've been playing for about four hours until the sun made its appearance, so we didn't get much sleep. That is until she fell asleep on my chest. What an amazing night. I've just got to say everything is so much better when you are truly in love. I had never known how important that was until last night. Oh no, she's drooling in her sleep. Onto my chest. I suppress a chuckle, she's so cute when she's asleep. I look up at the ceiling and am just happy that I've been brought to this world.

"Sweet Celestia, it smells like a brothel in here," I hear a gravelly but feminine voice and don't have any time to react when the door opens. I glare at Rainbow Dash as she barges into the room. She notices me on the bed and trots up.

"And how would you know what a brothel smells like?" I stage whisper to Rainbow, she finally notices Twilight is sound asleep.
"Cloud Kicker, who else?" She at least lowers her voice in deference to the sleeping alicorn.

"Well, Rainbow, how in the holy bleeding hell did you get into my room?"

"I flew up to the balcony, no pony ever thinks to lock the balcony doors." I have to roll my eyes at this. "I just came to see how you two were doing. Though I didn't expect to see this."

"If you had come in half an hour ago, you would have seen a lot more than this Rainbow, we expected a little privacy."
"Privacy, schmivacy, I needed to make sure one of my best friends is okay. And I see she is." She came up close to my head and whispered in my ear, "So, did you make the first move? Or did she?"

I sniffed, "A gentleman doesn't kiss and tell, Rainbow Dash. If you want the juicy details, you'll have to ask Twilight, if you girls are into that kind of talk."

This gets a snort from her. "Oh please, she's about as uptight as any Canterlot unicorn when it comes to sex. I won't get any details from her, so I'm going to badger you until you give."

I glare at the cyan pegasus. I don't know what to say here.

"I made the move on him, he was asleep, and he was so beautiful I couldn't help myself," I hear from the formerly asleep alicorn on my chest. She raises her head and glares at her friend, "And I am not uptight about sex. I simply didn't have a frame of reference to compare." She stopped and looked at me, "And, now I do." She leans forward and kisses me, "Thank you for being a gentlestallion, Nick."

All I can do is put my hooves behind my head and smile. Twilight turns to Rainbow Dash, "If you can fly up to our balcony, you can fly back down, and make sure to lock the door behind you. Nick and I plan on being occupied for most of the day today. Though if you want to be nice, you can order us some room service before you leave. I brought a good deal of bits on this trip, take some and take the girls out to that big park, my treat. We'll catch up with you gals on the train tomorrow. Got it?"

"Yeah, I got it." She moves to the door, then stops with a hoof on the knob and looks back at us, "I'm really happy that both of you guys are happy. Maybe someday you'll add to your little herd." She ducks out as a telekinetically thrown pillow impacts the door.

"Can you believe the nerve of that mare?" Twilight huffs, "We just started and she's asking to be included in the future."

I freeze. I know that one stallion to multiple mares is the norm here, but knowing it and having it shoved in your face are completely different things. After several seconds, I'm able to start breathing again as we hear the door to the balcony slam shut. I look at Twilight, "I never even thought of that."

Uh oh, I feel a rant coming on from Twilight. She extracts herself from the covers, and she starts pacing back and forth. "For Celestia's sake, I know it's rude and selfish for a mare to take a stallion all to herself. I wasn't planning at all to be selfish. But," She stops and looks at me for a  moment, a wistful smile on her face, "We just started last night and I would like to at least have some time with you before we look for another mare to join in."

"Do we have to bring another mare in, Twilight? I've told you my culture is fairly monogamous. I would have no problem at all with us being exclusive to each other."

I swear, I never thought THAT would be me inserting my hoof in my mouth, but I think it would have been better to stay silent.
"Seriously, Nick? What kind of role model would I be? I'm a princess for Celestia's sake. If we ever bring our relationship public. Not to mention how that going public would be, if it were to come across as us being monogamous, the scandal would be huge." She sat back on her haunches and used her hooves to make air quotes, "The Newest Crowned Princess, Princess Twilight Sparkle, knowing the ratio of stallions to mares, has decided to keep her stallion all to herself." She hung her head. "Celestia would be so ashamed of me."

I extract myself from the bed by the simple expedient of face planting out of the covers and move up next to her. Folding a wing over Twilight I pull her into a hug, "I don't think we'll be able to keep our relationship a secret, Twilight. But don't worry about scandals, we can deflect any questions about adding to your herd by saying we just started and are feeling out our options." I kiss her, "I'm in no hurry to add anything but you and me at this point. Let's not let those problems cloud how happy we are to be together."

She smiles and kisses me back. "You’re right Nick. I don't think any pony will expect us to be  open to additions on day two of our relationship. But we will have to make a decision before too long." She breaks away completely and looks distraught. "And I haven't even told Princess Celestia about our romantic weekend. I can't have her finding out about it in the tabloids."

I have to sigh, "Twilight, when we get back to Ponyville, you can send a letter to your mentor. And we'll deal with that."
"I will," she murmured. I took the opportunity to derail her train of thought with an aggressive kiss. Which she immediately returned, then she put a hoof on my chest and pushed me away.

"Why do you have to be so contrary, Nick?"

"Uhhh? Come again." I looked at her quizzically.

"Nick, I've read everything about pony mating habits, for the first time, it's quick, it's for the mare to show that she's willing, so her stallion remains interested. You…" She trailed off, blushing.

I smiled, "Twilight, you made me feel special by deciding to…" now my face is heating, "well, you know." Now it's time for Nick to trace patterns in the carpet with a hoof.  I took a moment, then in a very small voice, "I wanted you to feel as special as you made me feel."

She stomped a forehoof, "Damn it Nick." How cute, she's picking up some of my cussing. "You are not doing it right. I'm supposed to keep you interested."

I smiled at her. "Twilight, don't think for even a small fraction of a second that I'm not interested. I certainly am."
"But what if you get tired of doing all that and decide you don't want me anymore." Am I seeing tears now? Oh no, I had better nip this in the bud immediately. I move closer and hug her, bringing my freakishly huge wings into play, a hug is doubled when it's with a pegasus.

"Twilight, I am in love with you. I'm not in this relationship for sex. Though last night may make me have that as a primary reason…" I'm interrupted by a punch to the chest, "All kidding aside, Twilight. I'm in love with you. I'm not going to dump you for any reason." I put a hoof to her cheek, "you keep me interested, not what's under your tail."

She sighs and looks at me, oh no, the big puppy dog eyes look. "Are you sure, Nick?"

I nod and am assaulted with a kiss. She eventually pulls away from me. "Well, last night was fun, up for some more?"

"Are we going to go anywhere today?"

She taps a hoof to her chin, "Ummmm, nope."

We both grin as I pull her back into the bed with me.
