A Lucky Rose


A New Day was over the horizon as Celestia's Sun rose to greet it. Lucky woke up just minutes after and proceeded to freshen up. After the shower and quick breakfast he checks a list to see what he needs to do today.

"Alright let me see here, #1 visit Mayor Mayor to discuss house problems, #2 check to see if secret reservation is still active, #3 See Obscur.......Maybe I should put 3 into 1 slot. Okay Everything is in check and ready to be crossed off. Look out world! *opens door with enthusiasm* Lucky Ready For the Day!"

Lucky said with a happy tone as he closed the door and proceeded to Obscur's House. As he approached the house his mind began to remember that little scene he shared with her. He stopped just a couple feet away from the door to remember that moment where Obscur was happy, especially that surprise kiss he shared with her. He pondered in his memory for a reason until he remembered a past memory as it echoed through his head...

"It may take me a while to get this right, but I promise you this. I will comeback to Ponyville for you. I..I..like you like you."

After the memory faded he remembers that promise, he took a step back after realizing a promise he made when he was young and how it meant to him. Before he could think even further he hears a click of a door opening and shows Obscur walking out.

"Oh, Lucky! You scared me."

"Sorry Rose, I didn't mean to."

"So what are you doing here?"

"I was just about to go and take care of a few things before I fly around for fun, but I was hoping to have a nice chat with you like we did before."

"Aw thanks Lucky. Just like you I was going to take care of some shopping and get some supplies. So maybe you want to tag along with me?"

"Sure Rose."

"*blush* Come on Lucky, you don't have to call me rose all the time."

"But it suits you better. Shall we?"

"Lets."

After that little chat the duo made their way into town taking care of some chores. They stopped by The Mayor's office for Lucky to discuss some issues with his house. Soon they departed and Obscur was leading as they head into the market place for food and other supplies, they managed to get some good prices and deals. After going back and dropping off the supplies back at Obscur's house they then took to the skies to enjoy a nice cool breeze. They flew through clouds and laughed as they enjoyed the winds blowing through their manes. Lucky looked at Obscur and stared like as she was the most beautiful. It didn't take long until Obscur looked back. She also stared at Lucky with admiration, it didn't take long until she slowed her paced as did Lucky. They blushed and looked away at the same time, silence came but not for long.

"Listen Rose."

"Yes Lucky?"

"I want to show you something. Follow me." Lucky said as he flew allowing Obscur to follow him. They continued to a nice sized pond, coming up to a cloud as Lucky then said. "Here it is *sits on cloud* come on." Obscur nods and sits with lucky getting comfortable as they watched the sunset. Then Obscur decided to speek up.

"Listen Lucky, about that kiss yesterday..."

"You don't need to explain."

"No I do, you see a lot has happened since you went away. Just a little after you left I was old enough to go to this academy, it was fine at first but it just got worse as time rolled on. I was hurt, let down, betrayed...*sniff* I just couldn't handle doing any of this for long so I left that place and try to move on. I traveled nearly all of Equestia to find a nice place but it just didn't feel like a place I could go in peace so I settled here but it wasn't enough. If you hadn't came along I...I.."

Obscur couldn't find any words to end her sentence. She sat here near Lucky crying at a future that was close to being real. Lucky can't take seeing a friend as special as Obscur being in this state so he says these words.

"Obscur Rose, When we were fillies I made a promise to you. A promise that lead me back here in hopes of seeing you again. So please don't cry, I'm here now *hugs Obscur*. You have somepony to hold onto when your down, somepony to pick you up again."

They sat there under the stars that Luna shines throughout the night. Obscur's crying started to soften and becoming calmed as Lucky said.

"Obscur Rose, Would you do me the honors of being my special somepony?" Obscur looks up in with her eyes upon Lucky's own to see he was serious. She uttered softly.

"Lucky I....I.... Yes, Yes I would."

They shared a special kiss as the moon rose above them shining them under the loving light of a new love life. After some time to themselves they made their way back to Obscur's house. He was about to say goodnight and head out until,

"Lucky."

"Yes Rose?"

"...You wanna sleep with me?"

"Sure, I'd love to." Lucky made his way inside Obscur's house. Soon all the lights were out except for the bedroom and just a minute later it turns off.

"Good night my beautiful rose..."
