That Mysterious Mare Down The Hall

-- Canterlot Castle, Southern Corridor - 9:30 PM --

Thunder was walking down the corridor after finishing at the dining hall only to see the mare of the moon, Luna, walking to her room. Thunder always had feelings for her and, according to Celestia and Cadence, she shared the same feelings, as she often talked highly of him. Thunder wanted to say something, finally the perfect words came to mind.

"The moon looks beautiful tonight." He said hoping to draw her attention, It worked. Luna perked her head up, she had never really heard his voice before, so she did not recognize it right away. She turned around to face the one who had given her the complement.

"Pardon us?" Luna said using the Traditional Royal Canterlot Voice, she usually did, but only in public to keep up appearances, which is much more important now than it was a thousand years ago.

"The moon. It seems more beautiful than usual, it always is of course, but it looks different tonight." Thunder said standing in front of a window with the moon light shining right through and reflecting off his armor. Luna seen this and was more in awe at him than her own moon.

"Is it a special occasion tonight?" Thunder asked, turning and looking at Luna, who was closer than last time he had looked.

"No, I just pride myself in the appearance of the moon." Luna explained while turning and looking out the window. Thunder turned his head only to see the glimmer of the moon in Luna's eyes, it was to him as the light shining off his armor was to her.

"It shows well." Thunder said. On the outside Luna just looked away and blushed brightly, but on the inside she was jumping and squealing like a school filly who had just received a ribbon. Luna leaned towards him and rested her head on his shoulder.

"I hope this all right, it's been a while since I had somepony to enjoy the moon with me." In response Thunder put his foreleg around her back and pulled her a little closer. Luna looked at his hoof and back towards him, he looked at her and smiled, she returned the smile and they looked out the window for a while. After what was longer than expected Luna looked up at the clock on the wall, it read 11:00.

"Oh my, it's quite late and I'm awfully tired." Luna said.

"Well, would like an escort to your room, Princess?" Thunder said jokingly as he held out his hoof, Luna took his hoof in hers.

"Thank you, we will enjoy the company." Luna said with a slight wink. They walked down the corridor to Luna's room, once they had arrived Thunder opened the door for her.

"Oh, a gentlecolt, thank you." Luna said with more of a flirty voice than a professional one. Thunder waited until was all the way in.

"Well, I will see you in the Dining Hall tomorrow, yes?" Thunder asked before leaving.

"Wait, would thou be opposed to spend the night with us?" Luna asked while standing like a shy filly asking somepony to go to the Gala.

"Sure, but might I ask why?" Thunder had always wanted to spend the night with her, but not without reason.

"We just want to spend some time with somepony who enjoys our moon as much as we do." Luna said walking closer to him and holding his hoof, pulling him in to the room. Once they were further in Luna used her magic to shut the door.

"But quickly, this is long over due, for both of us." Luna said leaning towards him, it was relatively dark in there so he couldn't see well. When Luna's lips landed on his both of them inhaled sharply, Thunder was taken off guard, so he pulled back, but didn't break it. After the shock wore away he started pushing for control and Luna fought back, but eventually gave in. Thunder picked her up, despite her large size she was surprisingly light. He carried her over to the bed and set her down, still not breaking the kiss. Eventually Luna pulled back to breathe.

"Wow....You were......Better than........I would have thought." Luna managed to pant out.

"Yeah, I have to say the same for you." Thunder said looking down on her with her eyes sparkling brightly in the soft moon light.

"Can we tell you something, Lieutenant?" Luna said in a soft, but serious tone.

"Yeah, sure." He told her.

"We have admired you for a while now, and learning how much you enjoy the moon makes it to hard to resist not being with you anymore." Luna said as her eyes shot back and forth between his as she had a bright smile on her face.

"I must admit, I have admired you as well, now knowing you do to, well I think the rest can go without saying." Thunder told her in sternly heavy voice, but Luna knew him well enough to know he meant it softly. Luna placed her head and nose on his and looked in his eyes, his were the same color as hers, just much darker.

"So, are thou going to spend the night with us?" Luna asked innocently.

"Let's put it this way, it will be more than one." Thunder said with a small laugh under his breath. Luna blushed a little and started undoing Thunder's armor from the back. He thought it was something else and looked back, only to see her hoof taking off the clasps holding it together, he looked back at her and in the second he looked back she had a bigger smile and her cheeks were burning purple, in contrast to her coat. He smiled and returned the favor by undoing the clasp on her black onyx necklace. Luna finished as he finished her necklace and he bent forward to give her better leverage to take his armor off. She set it on the couch in the corner and he set her necklace on the table.

"Wait, there is something I want to see real quick, if that's OK." Luna said getting a little off topic.

"Oh, yeah sure, what is it?" He asked her.

"Now this is highly against the rules, so this does not leave the room, got it?" She said sternly as she levitated her necklace back over to her, but instead of putting it on her she put it around his neck. It fit quite well actually, he looked down at it and back at her.

"I'm not actually supposed to do that, but I trust you well enough." Luna said, dropping her royal Canterlot tone. "How does it feel?" She asked tilting her head curiously.

"Not bad, honestly. Why did you put it on me though?" He asked in return.

"Hmm I was curious. It looks really cute on you though." She said with a giggle. As she did that she was kicking off her rear slippers and putting her front ones on his chest, just below the necklace. He laughed and slowly took her front slippers off and set them next to the others. He looked at her, then to her crown, then back to her.

"Very polite, knowing not to touch the crown of a Princess without permission." Luna said tilting her head forward.

"Well, I did help you and Celestia make that rule, remember?" Thunder said with a laugh as he gently grabbed the crown and slid it off, walking over and placing it on the dresser in the corner. When he turned around to walk back Luna was laying on top of the blankets looking at him with soft, but glimmering eyes. He smiled and walked back.

"Come join me, Lieutenant." She said putting a little more emphasis on the 'Lieutenant' part. He smiled and crawled on to her bed, the mattress was soft cotton with super smooth silk blanket. He laid on his stomach, waiting for Luna to say something.

"OK, you're the boss, Luna." Thunder told her so she wouldn't wait for him.

"Lay on your back then." She said putting her hoof on his side.

"Alright then." He said rolling over so he was on his back.

"Flair your wings now." She said stern, but playfully. He did so, his wings stretched out about 5 feet each way.

"Hmm, even better than I thought." She purred softly. She pulled herself on top of him and sat on his waist then pushed her hooves on his shoulders.

"You have no idea how long I wanted to do this." She said smiling and leaning closer to him, finally placing her lips on his. He over-powered her and slowly brought his front hooves around her, holding her tight. After about 5 minutes they pulled apart to breathe.

"So are you satisfied now, my lunar Princess?" Thunder asked rubbing her sides softly.

"More than you know." She said pushing her muzzle into his neck. Thunder wrapped his large wings around her and covered her almost completely.

"I love your wings. How big are they?" Luna asked blushing lightly.

"Something like 5, maybe 5 and a half feet wide each side." Thunder said proudly as he dragged them across her sides teasingly. Luna started giggling as the tips of his feathers tickled her sides.

"Stop! I'm ticklish!" Luna said pushing his wings down playfully. Thunder laughed as Luna started rubbing the inside of his wings and bent down, resting her head on his chest. Thunder couldn't say anything, she looked so cute they way she looked at him. A minute or two later there was a knock on Luna's door.

"Hey Luna, have you seen Thunder? I need to talk to him." It was Celestia. Thunder looked between the door and Luna quite nervously, Luna on the other hand wasn't to surprised.

"He's in here!" Luna answered.

"What are you doing?" Thunder asked looking at her.

"It's fine, she knows you're with me. She's just being difficult." Luna laughed.

"Can I talk to him?" Celestia asked.

"We are a little busy at the moment." Luna said with a sing-song voice to cover up her slight annoyance. "How important is it?" Luna asked.

"If I say 'very' will you let me in?" Celestia joked.

"Just let her in to shut her up." Thunder whispered in Luna's ear while giving her a little nibble.

"Okay." Luna said giggling. "Come in Celestia." Luna told her. Celestia opened the large onyx doors and smiled as she saw Luna laying on Thunder.

"Hmm, it seems you two cozied up to each other fairly well." Celestia said with a sly laugh. Luna rolled her eyes and Thunder kept looking at Luna, hoping to expel the awkwardness from the room.

"So what is it you wanted 'Tia?" Thunder managed to push out.

"One of the Captains wanted to talk to you. He said it was urgent, but it could wait." Celestia explained.

"Did he tell you what it was?" Thunder asked.

"He said the 454th Battalion returned from Saddle-Arabia." Celestia told him.

"Oh, well I can see why that'ed be urgent." Thunder said.

"Why? What's the 454th Battalion?" Luna asked Thunder.

"They're a Supply Battalion, they brought food and water to a town that was attacked by the SARF." Thunder told Luna while he was rubbing her back.

"SARF?" Luna returned.

"Saddle Arabian Rebel Forces, that's the reason I went there a while back, I had to help with negotiations to help support them." Celestia butted in.

"Oh, well why aren't we doing anything about it?" Luna asked.

"Can't, ROE states unless the SARF attacks any SA government officials or buildings Equestria is not allowed to engage them, according to the NATO agreement, but we do have the 64th Recon Squadron keeping an eye on them." Thunder explained.

"Okay, I didn't catch half of that." Luna said laughing a little.

"You need to get out more." Thunder said laughing and nuzzling the back of her neck. Luna laughed when she felt Thunder touching her.

"Okay, so will that be all 'Tia?" Luna asked Celestia with slight annoyance. Celestia sighed.

"I suppose." Celestia said getting up and heading to the door.

"Wait, you can stay as long as you don't mind me and Luna messing around." Thunder said sternly. Both Celestia and Luna looked at him.

"Come on Luna, she's your sister, we can do this every night, but Celestia might have to do something so she can't spend every minute with us." Thunder said. Luna grunted softly.

"Don't give me that attitude." Thunder said with a laugh as he kissed the back of her neck. Luna started laughing.

"Okay, okay." Luna said pulling away from him. Thunder laughed as he nodded towards Celestia to the couch not to far from the bed.

"Thanks Thunder." Celestia said walking to the couch and laying down.

"No big deal, as long as you can handle this." Thunder said spinning Luna around so she was facing him and he pushed his lips against hers surprising her.

"It'll take a while, but I'll come around." Celestia said laughing.
