Gem opened her saddle bag and took out a red cloth with a blue shield with a yellow equine figure emblem.
"These are our Cutie Mark Crusaders capes", explained Gem
"These look awesome", complimented Orion
Suddenly Spectrum Chaser flew over the crusaders.
"Hey guys", greeted Spectrum flying by
"Hey guys, I think we should make Spectrum a crusader", suggested Meteor Blitz
"No way", said Zap
"Why not?", asked Blitz
"Because she can be really mean sometimes. And she brags a lot", complained John
"And besides she already has her cutie mark", added Aria
"All true", said Blitz "But maybe if she joined, she'll be a bit nicer. And besides she can join if she follows Rule 17"
"Rule 17?", asked Pixel
"Any foal with a cutie mark can join the CMC as long as they help fellow crusaders earn their cutie marks", explained Blitz reading the handbook
"Fine, go ask her", said Orion
Blitz flew up to his sister.
"Hey Spectrum", greeted Blitz
"Oh hey bro, wazzup?", asked Spectrum
"I was wondering if you would like to join a club Im in?"
"What club?"
"The Cutie Mark Crusaders. A club devoted to helping ponies earning their cutie marks"
"Bro, I don't think you noticed, but I already have my cutie mark"
"You can still join as long as you help the rest of us earn our cutie marks"
"Thanks, but Im not interested"
"Why not?"
"Because it sounds dorky"

"Because your in it. Any club your in is dorky. Well I'd love to stay and chat but I have a Sonic Rainboom to perform"
Spectrum flew away and performed a Sonic Rainboom.
"So what did she say?", asked Cortland

They started to walk to the playground. Suddenly, the CMC handbook fell out of Blitz's saddle bag and Royal Jewel and Bling Bling picked it up.
"The Cutie Mark Crusaders?", asked Jewel "What is that?"
"Nothing", the Crusaders said in unison
"It's a club that helps ponies earn their cutie marks", explained Buck
"BUCK", scolded the Crusaders
"Wow you guys are so desperate for your cutie marks that you have to make a club?", teased Jewel
"Saw that one coming", teased Bling Bling
The bell rang and every pony went in the school house.
