Chapter 2: Let's Start The Show!
The Muppets are already hard at work, getting some new acts and performances ready for the big show. Kermit was shouting out orders to some of his friends.
"Okay, okay, be careful. That prop is for the final number. We can't let anything get destroyed!" Kermit calls out to his friends with a nod, "Scooter? Bring the guest-stars their snacks!"
"Yes, sir," Scooter exclaims as he pushes a tray over to the guest-star door. The Go-Fer knocks on it and opens the door. "Hey, got your food, Mane Six!"
"Thanks, Scooter." Twilight said as she let Rarity uses make-up on her. "Is it edible?"
"That depends on what you mean by 'edible'. Anyway, we got makeup experts; you don't need to do your own."
"Yes, yes, that's true, Scooter, but that doesn't mean we must be lazy without makeup." Rarity insists, pouring makeup onto Pinkie's face, making her sneeze a bit and giggle. "I must do my best to make sure we are in best condition."
"Oh boy, I can't wait to see what to eat." Rainbow said as she flies over to the lid that is covering something.
Rainbow removes the lid...then she and her friends yelps as on the plate are vegetables....that are singing, "My Little Veggies, My Little Veggies, La la la la la!" The Pegasus pony closes the lid quickly.
"Okay, I think I can understand the edible part."
"So what acts does yer pal Kermit got fer us?" Applejack asks, twirling her rope into the air.
"That's thing...we just got back so we're kinda improvising for now." Scooter admits to Applejack with a shrug. "But I'm sure we can think of one thing or another. Gonzo got the idea to work with Rainbow for that Indoor Sonic Rainboom thing."
"Ooooh, ooooh! I wanna do jokes with the bear!" Pinkie exclaims, waving her upper forelegs around. "I am the bestest best jokester in Equestria!"
"Oh, cool! Fozzie would love to do it with you."
"Wit' working 'wit' 'dis bear, he would need all 'de help he can git." Applejack remarked, rolling her eyes. She has seen some clips of Fozzie and his...'joke telling', or lack thereof.
"Well, if you need anything, just let me know and I will come running, even literally if I have to!" Scooter exclaims happily. He leaves the dressing room, leaving the Mane Six to whatever it is that they are doing.
"I feel right at home with all these animals." Fluttershy said gently to her friends.
"The only thing missing is an Orthros." Rainbow jokes a bit, making Pinkie laughs a bit at this.

Flare Tiger chose this time to gallops into the library. Ben, Chase, the Dragons and the CMCs are at this time preparing for their trip into the black hole.
"Ah sense a black hole in here earlier; where's Princess Twilight and the girls?" Flare Tiger ask Ben in concern.
"They are in there, we're about to go in after them." Nyx explains to Flare Tiger with a nod. "Hopefully this won't take too long."
"Or be too dangerous." Apple Bloom comments with a shrug. "Wanna join us?"
"Well...got mah laptop." Flare Tiger said, holding up a laptop of sorts, preparing for the trip. "That's all I need."
"Very well, let's go in." Chase said to the group in determination. "And it's best that we don't make any attention to ourselves."
The others nod as they jump into the black hole...
And find themselves in Dr. Bunsen Honeydew's lab. They look around as Scootaloo comments, "Huh; didn't suspect much to be the lair of a mad scientist who kidnapped Rainbow Dash and her friends."
"Sssh, someone's coming," Spike exclaims in alarm as he hears some footsteps. The group quickly went into hiding behind some machine, preparing themselves for some sort of problem.
By this time, the gang saw Bunsen and Beaker entering. The scientist calls out, "Okay, time we get the machine ready for the Muppet Labs and..." Bunsen notices the black hole still up, "Beakie! Why didn't you tell me that I left this up?"
"Meep meep meep meep meep," Beaker explains clearly to his friend.
"Well, never mind. I better shut this off!"
Bunsen quickly turns the machine off, causing the black hole to disappear. The gang in hiding looks worried or concerned. There goes their way back home. The scientist and Beaker quickly pushes the machine out of the lab, they want to get ready for the Muppet Labs part of the show.
"Is 'dat...Dr. Bunsen Honeydew an' Beaker o' 'de Muppets," Apple Bloom asks her friends in bewilderment.
"Yeah, that is them!" Sweetie exclaims happily. "Oooh, I love those guys."
"Hmm, and yet why did they kidnapped Twilight and the others," Chase ask thoughtfully, trying to do some pondering so to speak. "We best to check this out, Ben."
"Right; Flare Tiger, you're coming with us. The rest of you, stay in hiding." Ben instructs the CMC and the Dragons to stay in hiding. The gang doesn't know what they're fully up against just yet.
The three ponies left the room, making sure that no one else is around. Phobos pouts, "Awww, I wanted to check this place out too. Staying here is soooooo boring."
"Right, but we need to avoid being seen." Spike suggests to Phobos, reminding them that the gang are in foreign territory.
Nyx spots some sort of clothes, a hat and a coat nearby. She pauses, smiling while saying, "Ooooh, I got an idea...."

Kermit was in his office, looking over the acts. Some are good; some are rather...messed up. The frog hopes that the return of the show is a good one.
Suddenly a knock came at the door, making him say, "Come in!"
The door opens as Kermit saw some sort of tall figure in a huge coat, wearing a hat and has a mustache. The figure spoke but in a weird voice, "Yes, is this the office of Kermit the Frog?"
"What the...?" Kermit ask a bit confused by the newcomer. This looks familiar.
Unknown to Kermit, the figure is actually Sweetie Belle, standing on top of the CMC along with the Dragons, trying to move around a bit as if doing their own version of the Muppet Man...except this is called 'The Pony Man'.
"Hi, we are...agent for the Mane Six, yes." Sweetie said in a faux voice. "May we come in?"
"Oh yeah, go ahead. Take a seat and we will discuss how your stars are going to be on this show." Kermit said a bit awkwardly.
Sweetie glances to a seat then whispers to her friends, "Okay, a little to the left."
The Pony Man soon started slowly yet awkwardly heading towards a seat, trying not to fall.
"Okay, careful, careful." Spike mumbles a bit. "Whoa!"
Kermit watches as the Pony Man wobbles a bit, moving backwards to the ground. Nyx yelps as she moves back to get the disguises up a bit.
"Uh, uh..." Kermit said puzzled.
"Careful, careful, to the left," Sweetie whispers to her friends who got over to the seat, "Now sit."
"How can we in this getup?" Scootaloo mumbles a bit to her friends.
"Don't know, try something and hurry!" Phobos complains a bit. "I got a bad inch somewhere on my tail!"
"We're gonna be in big trouble if we bungle at this!" Apple Bloom said quietly.
"Calm down, whoa!" Nyx exclaims as the gang tries to sit the Pony Man down. Kermit kept on blinking a bit.
"Uh oh..." Phobos said, yelping a bit. He begins to groan. "Ah...ah...ah..."
"Oh, horse feathers, he's going to blow!" Scootaloo exclaims in horror, realizing that Phobos is about to sneeze.
"Oh, flanks!" Spike said quietly in panic.
"AH-CHOO," Phobos sneezes so loudly that the whole Pony Man collapses, knocking everyone to the ground.
Kermit blinks as he saw the suit mumbles with four fillies and two Dragons coming out. Most of them groan, "Bless you!"
Kermit slaps himself on the forehead saying, "Oh good grief. First we tricked Miss Piggy with the Muppet Man. Now these guys came up with the Pony Man!"
"Hold it." A voice said as a sword goes near Kermit's neck. The frog gulps as Chase is holding the weapon with Ben and Flare Tiger near him. "Try anything and I will be having frog legs."
"Girls, I thought we told you and the Dragons to stay behind." Ben said to the young ones and the two in disappointment.
"What's going on in here?" Fozzie ask curiously as he and Gonzo came in. "Oooh, is this a new act?"
"Stay back, stay back!" Chase snaps, holding his sword near the two Muppets, making them yelp in shock.
"Look, if you want to kill us, at least gives me a chance to my stunt first!" Gonzo exclaims in worry.
Suddenly the Mane Six came in, having overheard the commotion. Twilight looks surprised as she asks, "Ben; Chase; Flare; Spike, Phobos; Girls?"
"What are you doing here? Chase, put that sword down!" Rarity exclaims to Chase in alarm and worry.
"Twilight," Ben exclaimed as he turned to see the Mane Six, especially Twilight.
"Mommy," Nyx exclaimed happily.
"Mommy," Fozzie remarks, "I didn't know she was in bandages; Wocka wocka!"
"Okay, that was lame." Phobos said dryly.
"Chase, put the sword down. We weren't kidnapped or tortured or anything." Fluttershy said to Chase.
Chase glares at the Muppets then put his weapons saying, "Fine. But I'm keeping an eye on you."
"Wow, do it again! That sounds neat!" Gonzo exclaims eagerly.
"Twilight, we thought ya and your friends were kidnapped." Flare Tiger said to Twilight. "We came in after ya."
"Well, we were pulled in but not kidnapped, sugarcube." Applejack said to Flare Tiger with a smirk. "In fact, we done were asked 'ta be guest stars on 'dis Muppet Show."
"The Muppet Show?!" The CMC asked excitedly in unison on hearing what Applejack just mentioned.
"What is this 'Muppet Show'?" Chase asks puzzled. "I don't watch TV much as you ponies do."
"A show about funny puppets," Flare Tiger giggles in delight. "Is Animal here?"
"Wow! Mommy and my aunties are going to be guest stars!" Nyx giggles happily. "Can we be guest stars too?"
"Well..." Twilight said thoughtfully to Kermit the Frog. "It's your show, Kermit."
"Well, I supposed with more ponies from Equestria, it does make sense." Kermit said with a shrug. "Do you work cheap?"
"Are parasprites annoying?" Sweetie ask Kermit, giving out a cute smile, her eyelids make squeaky noises a bit.
"That's yes, they do work cheap." Rarity said to Kermit slyly.
"Okay, consider yourselves onboard." Kermit remarks with a smile. He nervously glances at Chase. "Just make sure your friend keep his sword on his own person."
"Come on, Chase, loosen up a bit." Ben said to Chase, patting him on the shoulder. "We don't need to fight every day like this. We can entertain."
"Ugh, fine." Chase said reluctantly. Perhaps if he plays along and be a fun pony instead of a fighter, perhaps the stallion could manages to win Twilight's trust for real.
Somehow, he suspects that Twilight didn't trust him for real.

"So we got more ponies and Dragons now?" Rizzo ask Scooter who is writing down in a book. "Wow, we got enough weirdoes as it is."
"Yep! Just be careful around that Chase guy, he appears to be in a fighting mood." Scooter commented. Then he saw Kermit's group coming with the guest-stars. "Oh, here they come!"
"And of course, when you're ready, you can enter the stage from right here." Kermit said, finishing up what needs to be done here whenever a show happens at the Muppet Theater.
"Got it, Mr. Kermit," Twilight said with a nod, "I like to organize things, so I'll see if I can make sure everything in the show goes in order."
"Weren't you going to have Nigel be the host of this show on time?" Ben asks, recalling one of the pilot episodes.
"We were, but he was considered too wimpy." Kermit admits to Ben.
"Oh, Kermie," Miss Piggy exclaims as she came over. "I sure hope you got moi an act on this show."
"In matter of fact, Piggy, I thought I put you in one act with Miss Rarity here." Kermit said, motioning to Rarity nearby. "Some sort of fashion sketch."
"Oooh, I love fashion!" Miss Piggy said in delight. Then she turned to Rarity as she asked her, "Are you a fashionista?"
"Why, darling, I make the most fabulous fashion designs ever, in and out of Equestria!" Rarity replied proudly with her dazzling smile.
"She's your girl?" Spike asked Kermit curiously.
"Well..." Kermit said in hesitance.
"Of course, Kermit and I have been through and through, especially since our little trip to Europe!" Miss Piggy exclaims playfully.
"So why is it that a pig and frog are in love? That sounds silly." Phobos asked in seeing those two is supposed to be lovers.
"Hey, I like Rarity, and we're both Dragon and pony." Spike stated about him and Rarity being like they like each other.
"Yeah, but still, would you wanna enjoy having frog legs and pork chops all together?" Phobos rolled his eyes in stating a fact about having two different foods be together, it just don't fit right.
"WHAT! Pork chops? That's it!" Miss Piggy yelled off in gazing at the little Moon Dragon.
"Um, uh oh...." Kermit yelped in seeing this spells trouble.
"HIIIIYAAAAAH," Miss Piggy then did a karate kick move against Phobos.
"Gaaaugh...ggooough," Phobos was surprisingly sent across the room and bash against a wall, and looked like he was hung up like an ornament.
"Hmph, how'd you like them piggies now, lizard lips?" Miss Piggy huffs off to see what Phobos got to say about her now.
"Ooohhh, I see little piggies dancing around my head." Phobos spoke in seeing many piggy faces dancing around his head from being all dizzy.
"Wow, looks like he got the raw deal, then medium rare. Ahhh...wocka-wocka..." Fozzie responded to tell this joke off, though it sounded bad.
"Okay, note everypony: don't tick off Piggy." Rainbow said to her friends awkwardly.
"Yeah," Applejack agreed nervously.
"You know, I might learn something from Piggy if some nasty stallion tried to harass me or something." Rarity remarked.
"Ah feel the same way, for mah kung fu!" Apple Bloom added with a smile.
"Trust me; I deal with it concerning Boris all the time." Twilight said, rolling her eyes.
"Hey, Kermit; Is there a sketch involving me?" Walter asks Kermit with a smile.
Kermit was about to speak, but Rizzo interrupts snapping, "Oh no! Not this time, whistle blower. You got into front for the last two movies! I am not being in the background this time!"
"Awww, come on, Rizzo, lighten up!" Gonzo exclaims to Rizzo with a smile. "He can do an act together with one of the new ponies."
"Its okay, Gonzo, its okay; I can stay out of it if Rizzo wants." Walter said gloomy.
"Let me guess: the new guy who ends up pushing someone in the background?" Ben ask Walter who sighs and heads off, "Oh man; Rizzo?"
"What? I was in the background thanks to the new guy pushing me out!" Rizzo complains. "You tried doing that!"
"Yeah, I was in the background a lot of times." Spike said to Rizzo with a frown. "I was bitter but at least I learn to forgive later!"
"Well, I ain't forgiving Walter. He shouldn't even exist to begin with!" Rizzo remarked rudely.
Kermit groans a bit, shaking his head while saying, "I'm starting to worry about this show." Twilight nods in agreement.

The night has come at last. Folks are arriving in their cars outside the Muppet Theater. Guests, celebrities, even weird things are coming in, ready for the first show of the Muppet Show Reboot.
"Okay, Beauregard, make sure those sandbags are tight!" Scooter calls out Beauregard with a nod.
"Yes, sir," Beauregard exclaims, saluting Scooter...with the hand that is supposed to hold the sandbags up tight. They fell and lands on a Whatnot, crushing him flat. "Sorry!"
Crazy Harry laughs as he pulls some levers in the rafters above, "Crazy Harry's playing with electricity; Ha ha ha ha!"
"Okay, all right, okay!' Clifford calls in from the TV room that was installed during the Muppets' attempt to save their theater from Tex Richman. "Yeah, get ready; we're going to be live very soon."
"Someone kill those lights!" Scooter exclaims to the rafters. He cringes upon hearing the lights being shot at. The Go-Fer rush upstairs, knocking on the guest-stars' door before opening it, "Mane Six and friends! 5 seconds to curtain!"
"Give me a moment; I got to get out of this chair first!" Pinkie exclaims as the chair, which is alive, kept her tightly. Her friends watch on in amusement as she exclaims, "I can't giving up that easily, Mr. Chair!"
The chair growl a bit as the CMC laughs, helping their friend in trying to escape the chair.
Kermit quickly heads up to his usual place behind the Muppet Show logo board. He pauses, waiting as a voice said, "And now...your host, Kermit the Frog!"
The hole opened as Kermit came out and spoke to the audience, "It's the Muppet Show with our very special guest stars...the Mane Six and Friends; Whah!"
The audience cheered for him. The sign with Kermit lift up as the band began playing the music. The curtain pull up, revealing some pillars while Rowlf the Dog play the piano and Zoot toot his horn. Five Muppets came out then they point to the upper arches, where the Muppet ladies and chickens were walking backwards and singing.
Lady Muppets: It's time to play the music
It's time to light the lights
It's time to meet the Muppets
On the Muppet Show tonight!
On 'It's time to meet', they peeked out of the arches. At the other side, the male Muppets danced sideways and sang.
Male Muppets: It's time to put on make up
It's time to dress up right
It's time to raise the curtain
On the Muppet Show tonight!
At the balcony, two Muppets named Statler and Waldorf were there while singing.
Waldorf: Why do we always come here?
Statler: I guess we'll never know
Waldorf: It's like a kind of torture
Both: To have to watch the show!
The band kept on their performance until the Muppet performers sing again.
Muppets: But now let's get things started!
Audience: Why don't you get things started!
"Is this a reboot really?" Waldorf ask Statler with a frown.
"Yeah, which means it will get booted off the stage again!" Statler jokes, making the audience laughs.
Kermit was sitting on the floor of the stage as he sang.
Kermit: It's time we get things started
As they all sang, the camera pulled back as it revealed each Muppet on arches.

The Muppet Show!
Then, the sign saying 'The Muppet Show' came down. Inside the hole was Gonzo holding a horn. He blew on it, which results in a big burp to come out of it.
"Excuse me!" Gonzo apologizes as the audience laughs.
