It's been a week since Rainbow moved in with Twilight. To Rainbow, she couldn't believe that she is permanently grounded. Flying meant everything to Rainbow. Being able to go places easily, able to travel better, compete in flying competitions, and preforming Sonic Rainbooms. Losing the ability to fly hit Rainbow hard. Even worse, the incontinent part broke her. On some nights, Rainbow woke up screaming about nightmares of her dying. To Twilight, she could tell that Rainbow was in a phase where she is emotionally broken. During those nights, she ended up having to sleep with Rainbow Dash to calm her scarred, torn, and heartbroken friend down. To Twilight, she knew for a fact, that this is a phase that Rainbow will be dealing with for a couple of weeks.
It was now monday morning, and Rainbow was seen peacefully sleeping in her bed. As she was sleeping the door to her bedroom opened revealing it was Twilight with breakfast and coffee for Rainbow. She put it on the desk and walked up to her sleeping friend. She began to tap Rainbow. "Rainbow, time to wake up." Twilight said gently.
At this point, Rainbow began to wake up and rub her eyes. She then sat up and saw Twilight infront of her. She yawned. "Morning Twi. Something smells good."
"I made breakfast. First things first, I need to check your diaper."
Rainbow nodded. As part of the morning routine, Twilight had to check and change Rainbows diaper every morning due to her incontinence. Rainbow tossed the covers aside allowing her diaper to be visible. As Twilight predicted, it was wet. Twilight giggled a little at this. She helped Rainbow off the bed and got levitated the changing mat on the ground. Rainbow laid on it and allowed Twilight to change her. Once changed, Twilight helped Rainbow up and bought her to the desk where Rainbow began to eat. What made Twilight sad, was that Rainbow was looking gloomy. "Whats wrong Rainbow?" Twilight asked concernly.
"I been having bad thoughts Twi. You know, those thoughts."
"Rainbow... you don't mean..."
"Something is telling me to end it. But I don't want to. I don't want to take my own life."
Twilight was absolutely shocked at this. Something was telling Rainbow to commit suicide. This was a sad thing for Twilight. She didn't want her friend to kill herself after a life changing accident. "Rainbow.."
"Like I said Twi, I wouldn't, you saved my life. You told me how you did it, and I'm thankful for what you did. But I guess my life is now different."
Twilight wrapped her hoofs around Rainbow who finished her french toast. When this happened, Rainbow was surprised. she then rested her head on Twilights shoulder. Twilight then looked at Rainbow with tearful eyes. "R...Rainbow, if takes anything to make you feel the way you used to and live on the ground, I will give up everything to make you whole again. I would step down from the throne as Princess of Equestria, give up my books, everything, to make you whole again."
Upon hearing this from her friend, Rainbow was surprised. She never saw this side of Twilight before. She knew Twilight as an egghead, but now it's different. Twilight backed away from Rainbow allowing her to turn and hug her alicorn friend. As she was hugging Twilight, she could tell she was tearing up. "Twi, you...you mean that?" Rainbow asked.
"Y...yes."
After a few minutes of hugging, Twilight backed away and allowed Rainbow to drink her coffee. As Rainbow was drinking her coffee, she began to wonder, why was Twilight acting that way? To her, it felt like Twilight was hiding something from her. Something she was afraid of revealing to Rainbow. As she finished her sip of her coffee, she sat the cup down. "Twi, do you mind if I ask you something?" Rainbow asked Twilight who was fixing Rainbows bed.
"Yes?"
"Are you hiding anything from me, you're...kinda acting differently then normal since the accident occured."
"Uh.. I didn't notice. I'm not hiding anything.."
"I know your hiding something Twi, I could tell by the way you been treating me."
"What makes you think that?"
"Come on Twi, just tell me please."
Twilight sighed. She knew Rainbow would deduct it eventually. She was trying to hide it, but it seemed to fail. She knew that Rainbow wanted to know. "R...rainbow... When we bought you to the hospital, you sort of, died."
"I what?"
"If it wasn't for me preforming Cardiopulmonary resuscitation at the hospital, you would of been dead. You had both a near death experience at the area where the accident occurred and almost died in the hospital."
"What are you trying to say Twi?"
"Rainbow.... I.... I love you."
These three words surprised Rainbow. This was news to her. Twilight, her closest friend, loves her. She then began to think this was her secret. Rainbow began to smile at her. It was now time to show her feelings toward Twilight. "Twi, can you get my diary from the bookshelf?" Rainbow asked nicely.
Twilight used her magic and bought the diary in front of Rainbow. As it was set down, Rainbow opened it up and went to the diary page she wrote. As it was at the right page she told Twilight to read that entry to herself. Twilight used her magic and bought the diary in front of her and began to read. As she was reading, It was surprising her. Not only Twilight had feelings towards Rainbow, but Rainbow had feelings towards Twilight as well. As she continued reading, her cheeks turned pink as she read the parts where Rainbow described what she thinks of her, amazing, pretty, and great to be around.
As she finished reading, she put Rainbows diary on the bookshelf. She then got on Rainbow's cloud bed and got comfortable. just then she used her magic to levitate Rainbow, who finished drinking her coffee, over to her and had her diapered bottom on her lap. She then, looked at Rainbow, with a very loving smile. "You think I'm pretty?" Twilight asked while blushing.
Rainbow giggled. "Yes."
Twilight leaned closer to Rainbows face with irresistible eyes. "How Pretty, 1, meaning kinda pretty, 5 meaning so pretty, 10 meaning very pretty."
Rainbow blushed deep pink. "V-v-very pretty."
"D'aww thank you Dashie.'
At that moment, Twilight pulled Rainbow into a hug. However, her hug caused Rainbow to flinch and whimper in pain. Twilight didn't realized what she did. She backed away fast and looked at Rainbow. "Oh my gosh Rainbow, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to cause pain." Twilight said freaking out.
""It's okay Twilight, I forgive you, besides..." At that moment, Rainbow planted a kiss on Twilights lips and looked at her savior with a smile. "It was just an accident."
Twilight smiled at Rainbow. She couldn't believe she got her first kiss. At that moment, she noticed Rainbows diaper had a yellow stain, Indicating she wet herself. "Looks like you wet yourself." Twilight murmured.
" I'll let you change me, if you say I love you to me, and give me a kiss."
Twilight giggled. She knew this could be the start of a beautiful relationship. "I love you Rainbow." Twilight said as she gave Rainbow a kiss on the lips.
After getting Rainbow changed, she helped Rainbow back on to her cloud bed. She then grabbed Rainbows breakfast and coffee cup and bought it to the kitchen. As Twilight was putting the dishes in the sink, she began to think about the whole chain of events that happened to Rainbow. She knew Rainbow as a athletic pony, but now, she is a grounded pegasus. She could imagine what Scootaloo would think. Some point in time she had to break the news to Rainbows fan. It wasn't until then she was snapped back into reality. "Twilight are you okay?" Spike asked
"I'm fine Spike."
"Something has been up since Rainbow moved in with us."
Twilight sighed. "I don't know Spike. I know she can't fly anymore, but something is telling me this isn't a good idea."
"Whoa whoa whoa Twilight. We don't want you having a breakdown like you did when you forgot to write a friendship letter to Princess Celestia."
Twilight sighed. Spike was right. She had to avoid having anxiety breakdowns. Despite Rainbow's current condition, Rainbow was her top priority. Out of nowhere, she began to reminisce about what happened at the hospital. Her friend nearly died, the heart monitor had a flat line, Twilight was even sobbing before preforming Cardiopulmonary resuscitation. What kept echoing in her head, was what she said to the doctors before preforming CPR. You don't understand. I can't lose her, I love her. Please help her. let me preform CPR, Please, I beg you. When hearing those words, Twilight could tell she was emotionally broken when the doctors refused to do CPR, saying that she is gone. But it was a miracle that Twilight managed to bring her friend back. She was now Rainbow's savior.
At that point, she realized that she needed to do, she needed to help Rainbow. She wanted Rainbow to be happy, At that point she heard the door to the castle open. What surprised Twilight, was that it was her sister in law, Cadence. Cadence said she was comiing to Ponyville again to spend time with her sister in law. "Oh, hi Cadence." Twilight said trying to hide her grief.
"Twilight? You look like you seen a ghost."
Twilight was very afraid to tell Cadence about what happened weeks prior. It made her afraid of what she'll say. At that point, Twilight freaked out when she heard the bell she gave Rainbow. Cadence looked a Twilight. "DId Discord trick you again thinking he had an illness?" Cadence asked curiously.
"Um uh.."
Spike inturrupted. "Twilight, are going to see what Rainbow wants?"
Cadence looked at Twilight speechlessly. This made her question her in law. Twilight sighed in defeat. "Follow me Cadence." Twilight said in defeat.
Cadence looked at Twilight curiously. She was trying to hiding something Something she didn't want Cadence to know. As the approached Rainbows Room, Twilight opened the door, and noticed Rainbow looking at Twilight. "What took so long Twi?" Rainbow asked sadly. She then noticed Cadence. "Princess Cadence?"
Cadence eyes widened at the sight of Rainbows wings. This surprised her. "Rainbow, what happened to your wings?" Cadence asked shockly.
"I got in a flight accident and ended up permanently grounded along with being incontinent."
Cadence looked at Twilight with a raised eyebrow. This scared Twilight. Just then it turned in to a smile. To Cadence, she was proud of what Twilight is doing. She then hugged Twilight. "Twilight, you're doing the most greatest thing. Taking care of your friend, thats very sweet of you." Cadence said happily.
"Please don't tell Shiny, he'll think I'm insane."
"Twilight he won't, he'll think your doing the right thing."
Twilight then looked at Rainbow, "What was it that you need?"
"My Daring Do book."
Twilight nodded and levitated the Daring Do book to Rainbow. She then left Rainbow to her reading and went to her room with Cadence. As they entered, Cadence had a look on her face, indicating she wanted to know more about what happened to Rainbow. When she asked Twilight, Twilight began telling what happened. As Cadence listen she could tell that Twilight was feeling sad about what happened. What made Cadence surprised, was the doctors didn't preform CPR due to them think Rainbow didn't make it, but came back when Twilight preformed it. After Twilight finished her story. Cadence pulled Twilight into a hug. She was tearing up. "Twilight... I...I'm so sorry this happened." Cadence said sorrowfully.
"If only this didn't happen."
"Twilight, you saved your friend's life before she entered deaths door. You're taking care of her also and showing her hospitality. Your mother, father and Shining Armor would be proud of you."
Twilight smiled at this. For the moment, she and Cadence hugged each other, Twilight knew she was doing the right thing.
A day outside
The days were passing, and Rainbow was able to walk normally again. On the day they try to see if Rainbow was able to walk on her own, Twilight saw major improvement. On saturday morning, Twilight made Rainbow a special breakfast, pancakes and french toast. After they had their breakfast, they decided to relax for a little bit. two hours later they then decided to go out for a walk and get some sun. Twilight helped Rainbow put on her custom wonderbolts uniform so it can cover her diaper. What they didn't know, was that it made her plot look poofy, which didn't bug them.
As they were walking, Twilight had a gentle wing over Rainbow. Since they became marefriends, Twilight made a vow to be there for Rainbow. She even noticed Rainbow was feeling depressed about not being able to fly anymore. It made her feel like what Scootaloo feels like when she can't fly.
As they were walking, they then noticed Scootaloo walking about with her friends. As she came closer, this made Rainbow scared, She hasn't seen Scootaloo in 1 month and 2 weeks. At that point she noticed Rainbow Dash. "Rainbow Dash where were you?" Scootaloo asked.
"Uh, ummm..."
"I missed you Rainbow.....huh....?"
Oh no, she noticed. Rainbow thought.
"Rainbow... your wings.... what happened to them?"
Twilight butted in. "Scootaloo, I think you wouldn't be able to take the answer."
At that moment, Scootaloo noticed Rainbows plot underneath the Wonderbolts uniform. "Why is your plot all poofy? What happened, please tell me?"
"Squirt, I think you won't.."
"Please, I want to know... news around the town said something happened."
At this point, they realized they can't hide it, they deducted a news reporter looking for a scoop must of been behind it. Twilight remembered she ordered the press to remain silent over the incident, but it seems one of them was looking for the scoop, and decided to disobey an order. Twilight would have to press charges for this. "Scootaloo... Rainbow Dash will never be able to fly anymore."
"Huh?"
Rainbow then sighed. "I got in a flight accident, almost died, and now I'm grounded to the ground. I'm sorry Squirt, but I won't be able to teach you to fly like a boss."
This made Scootaloo heart break. She knew that a pegasus being grounded to the ground is a really terrible thing to happen to any pegasi. "N-no.... Th-that's.... OH i'm so sorry Rainbow. But why is your plot all poofy?"
Twilight sighed. "During her accident, she damaged an area of her body and became incontinent."
At this point, Scootaloo hugged Rainbow. This broke Scootaloos heart, the pony who was her idol and her would-be mentor lost the ability to fly. Rainbow pulled her into a hug and started rubbing her back. She knew this hitted Scootaloo hard. At that moment, Scootaloo looked at Twilight. "Twilight? Can our class make cards for Rainbow?" Scootaloo asked.
Twilight saw the look on Scootaloos face. She saw that her dream of being like Rainbow Dash was crushed. Twilight smiled. "Of course Scootaloo. But, maybe during some time, How about I teach you to fly sometime. Rainbow taught me how to fly, and I can help you. It be like our own private Twilight Time."
"Thank you Twi."
"And Scootaloo. Have Miss cheerliee check the cards to make sure they are nice. You know because of those two fillies that think bullying is cool."
the cmc nodded. Before the left Twilight stopped them. "If you ever want to visit Rainbow Dash, come to my palace, she is living with me from now on."
With that the cmc went on their way. Twilight return to Rainbow and put a wing over her. As they were continue walking to the park, she saw a look on Rainbows face. "What''s a matter Dashie?" Twilight asked
"It's this Incontinent thing. It's making me feel not awesome."
"Aw Rainbow, you are always awesome, either diapered or not, you will always be awesome. Like my friend Flutter Sparkle told me, she isn't afraid of being incontinent."
Rainbow stopped and looked at Twilight. "Flutter Sparkle? I didn't know you had a fillyhood friend?"
Twilight giggled. "We met at Celestias school. When we were at School she was a nervous filly, always afraid that ponies would make fun of her for being incontinent. Turned out everyone respected her about being incontinent. I befriended her when she it was her first time at the school."
"I guess you and her have a unique friendship."
"Yup, but I'm happy she is moving into Ponyville. Maybe when she moves here, she can help you out about not worrying about being Incontinent."
At that moment, they arrived at the park. What shocked them, was they saw Fluttershy, and Discord. They then walked up to them and put smiles on their faces. "Hi Fluttershy." Twilight greeted and turned to her newly found friend Discord. "Hi Discord."
"Hello Princess Twilight. Fluttershy told me what happened to you Rainbow."
Rainbow began to blush. Since Discord was "reformed" she didn't trust him at all. Up until what Tirek did to him and noticed that he then realized the true meaning of friendship, Rainbow grew to like Discord and began to call him a friend. "I guessed she would tell you eventually."
"I bet you miss your cloud house."
Rainbow couldn't help but nod. she really did miss living in her cloud home. At that moment, She heard Discord snap his claws, and out of nowhere came something that surprised Rainbow. Discord created a model of Rainbow Dash's cloud home. It looked like the way the real one was. "How did you..." Rainbow said before getting inturrupted.
"You don't know what to expect from the spirit of chaos. This is my gift to you Rainbow Dash. I hope you like it."
"Th-thank you Discord."
Flutter comes to town
The next day, Twilight and Rainbow got up early. Today, they were going to meet Twilight's old friend, Flutter Sparkle, at the train station. Twilight told her friends about her friend moving into town, and they were excited to meet Twilights old friend. Even they were shocked to learn about Twilights old friend. As they waited at the train station, they saw the train come to the train station. Ponies were coming out, and the last pony that came out was a pony who was a lavender unicorn, with heterochromia Iridum, earrings, and a diaper on. Twilight recgonized her, it was Flutter Sparkle. "Flutter, long time no see." Twilight greeted.
"Long time no see Twilight."
At that moment, she noticed Rainbow Dash. She stared at her for a moment. She noticed the wonderbolts uniform, but noticed her plot was all poofy. Flutter smiled. "So you must be Rainbow Dash? the mare Twilight told me about in her letter a couple weeks prior." Flutter said smiling.
"Wh-what did she tell you?"
"She told me what happened to you. I'm so sorry that happened to you."
Rainbow gave a small smile.
The girls then helped Flutter and followed her to the house she purchased. As they went to the house, Twilight shared the story about her and Flutter. They were all surprised at how they met. Through out the time, they helped Flutter get her stuff into her house and into her room. After that, Flutter went and decided to hang with Twilight and Rainbow, As they arrived at Twilights palace, they decided to hang in Rainbows room. After Twilight help Rainbow take her wonderbolts uniform off, she sat on the bed with the two lavender ponies. Flutter noticed Rainbows diaper. "So... you became incontinent after the accident?" Flutter asked.
"Y...yes. I'm not happy about it."
"Rainbow, you don't have to be ashamed of it. I'm incontinent too."
Rainbow then saw Flutter Sparkles diaper and she looked at her with a curious look. Flutter put a hoof around Rainbows back, being careful not to hurt Rainbows wings. "Rainbow, it isn't that bad being a pony that is incontinent. I've been in the stage you are experiencing. Feeling like you would be made fun of for being in diapers 24/7. The way I became incontinent was in a magic accident. Besides, I promise you that nopony would make fun of you. Either having your diaper visible outside, or wearing something over it. Trust me, no pony in the right mind would do that." Flutter said.
"Then, what should I do? I know you are new to the town, but what should I do?"
Flutter then looked at Rainbow. "Try going outside with your diaper visible like I do. It's my advice to my new friend."
Rainbow then looked at Twilight. Twilight nodded in agreement. This was the only option. With that they got ready to go to Flutters welcome party.
nightmare
It was now night and Rainbow was asleep in her bed. After the party, Flutter told Rainbow if she needs advice about getting used to being incontinent, she needs to go to her. Twilight however was in the library of the palace reading. As she grew tired, she yawned and put the book away, and turned the lights off in the library wing.
As she headed to her room, she heard Rainbows voice in her room. It sounded like she was yet again, having a nightmare. Twilight crept into Rainbows room silently so she doesn''t startle her sleeping friend. As she walked up to her sleeping friend she could hear her muttering. Twilight felt bad for her. This accident left a big impact on her then her fear of not being in the Wonderbolt reserves.
At that very moment, Rainbow woke up screaming. Twilight wrapped her hoofs around her friend. "Easy Rainbow." Twilight said trying to ease her friend.
"I...I'm scared Twi, this is the first time i'm dealing with a live changing experience."
Twilight then began rubbing Rainbows mane gently. This made Twilight feel bad. She predicted that Rainbow would start to become scarred. She started to go deep in thought. She only had one thing that she can do, Ease her friend with therapy. Twilight got on the bed and looked at Rainbow. "Rainbow, please tell me what's bothering you." Twilight murmured
Rainbow sighed. "This whole thing Twi, this.... whole thing of being a grounded pegasus, being incontinent. I-I-I don't think I would survive."
"Rainbow, we didn't know there was turbulence in that area."
"Twi, do even know what a Pegasi that is stuck on the ground feels like?
Twilight remained silent. She knew that certain pegasus were mistreated for being grounded. Either being born not being able to fly, or getting in an accident. "Rainbow, no one would dare make fun of you. Like Flutter said, no one will dare make fun of those who are incontinent either."
Rainbow started to look down. She felt like she has fell asleep and woke up in a nightmare, that she is having awake. All she could feel was her heart. All she had, her dream of being a wonderbolt, was crushed. At that moment, Twilight wrapped a hoof around her marefriend. "Hey don't feel bad, I vowed to help you get used to living on the ground." Just then, Twilight yawned. "I think we should hit the hay."
"Pl-please don't leave me Twi"
Twilight put a hoof to Rainbows lips. "I'm sleeping with you tonight. I'm not leaving your side tonight.""
