Rescue Pony 101

Peace Shine

I yawned and rubbed my eyes as I sat up, the blanket falling off me. I looked at my brother who was sleeping on the cold hard floor. I took the blanket off and wrapped Forest with it. I stood up and stretched. R.C., Razor Cloud, hadn't returned for his walk home from Ponyville, and that was very unusual. He wasn't the type of pony who would not return home in a storm or not leave a note, he was loyal to us. He has always have and always will be loyal.
I began to quietly enter the kitchen, I began to make a small salad, it was the rest of the food we had left. We were that poor that all three of us had to work, Forest working at the library, Razor worked at Sweet Apple Acres and I worked with Fluttershy. We never had the luxury that other ponies had. Our roof had holes, we had no warmth, no bits, nothing. It was alright though, we are way more generous with sharing with others though.
I put the salad on the small broken table and waited for Forest to wake up. Even though I was starving, I always waited for my brothers. I looked at Forest and noticed that he was waking up, that brought a smile to my face.
He stretched and yawned, and stood up. He slowly walked to the table and looked at the little salad on our broken table.
"You eat it, Peace," Forest said with a smile as he got some water.
"No, I can't. We can share, I don't mind," I replied. He sighed and nodded, walked over to the table and sat down. We shared our small meal and looked out the window. It wasn't raining hard, just sprinkling.
"Peace, let's pack stuff, we're not going back here without Cloud okay?" Forest asked. I nodded and went to my room, grabbed my bags and packed. Forest went into his room and packed as well.
When we were done, we met in the living room. Forest explained to me about the foalnapping and said that we needed to go to Ponyville. We headed towards Ponyville and asked several ponies if they could help us, but ponies either ignored us, walked past us or yelled at us.
I was near Sugar Cube Corner, I was sitting near the steps with my head down. A pony came up to me with a smile to cheer me up. "Hello, are you okay?" the pony asked. I looked up and saw an unicorn colt with orange fur, a blue mane and green eyes.
"Hi, I'm fine," I said a bit depressed.
"Are you sure?" the pony asked.
"Yup," I replied.
"Um... I heard that you and your brother were looking for help, maybe I could assist you two?" the pony blushed as he asked the question. I stared at him, he wanted to help, I couldn't believe it.
"Well, were trying to find some ponies that could help us find our brother Razor Cloud. He was foalnapper yesterday during the storm," I replied.
"I would gladly help. My name's Flash Spark," the pony named Flash Spark said.
"Thank you! I'm Peace Shine," I said as I stood up with a smile.
"Nice to meet you Peace," Flash said.
"You too, Spark," I said.
"When are we going?" Flash asked.
"Today, we are really worried about him," I said with a sad expression. I hung my head in sadness, but Flash put his hoof under my chin and lifted my head so I stared into his kind green eyes.
"I'll help you, no matter what," Flash said as he smiled. I smiled back, he was being kind even with the fact that we just met.
"Their my other brother, Forest Gold," I said as Flash and I walked up to Forest.
"Forest this is Flash Spark, Flash this is one of my brothers, Forest Gold," I introduced.
"Hello," Flash said.
"Hello," Forest replied.
"Hi, I'm Green Ivy and that's my friend Willow Shy," a little green unicorn filly said. Green Ivy was light green with a dark green mane, she had teal eyes as well. Willow Shy was a light brown pegasus filly with a light blue mane and purple eyes.
"We have our team, now it's clue searching time," Forest said. We all nodded and followed him to our house.
