//------------------------------// // Epilogue // Story: Same Love? // by Harmony Charmer //------------------------------// Sombra sighed in content as he awoke from his slumber, the memories of the previous night reaching him as he creaked his tired eyes open. 'I bet Sparkler's going to lose it when she finds that book...' he thought, feeling victoriously satisfied with his revenge. "Oh, Pinkie..." Sombra purred, rolling over to face his special somepony, "how's your morning been?" Pinkie let out a tired groan from underneath her pillow, wiggling slightly from Sombra's verbal disturbance. Sombra chuckled and wrapped his forelegs around her form, his muzzle burying itself in her neck. "Tartarus, you smell nice..." he told her, his words brushing past her shoulder. But, just as Sombra was adjusting to holding her, he noticed something felt... off about her anatomy. 'Why does she feel so... muscular?' he asked himself, running a hoof over her sides. His eyes widened as he felt the rigidness within her form instead of her curves, like he was used to. "Pinkie, get up," Sombra said, his eyes wide with shock. "Mmm..." Pinkie groaned, "five more minutes..." "Pinkie, I'm serious, you need to get up," he ordered, his eyes narrowing as he shook her shoulder. "Bother me later..." she whined, "I'm sleepy from last night..." Sombra let out an annoyed huff and grabbed hold of the pillow she placed on her head at some point in the night and tossed it to the side. "Hey!" Pinkie exclaimed, jolting upwards in bed, "I said I was tired!" Sombra gaped at Pinkie, his eyes remaining unblinking as horror and shock took over his features. "What?" Pinkie questioned, then froze when she heard the change in her voice. Or, rather, his voice. Again. "Discoooooooooooord!" Sombra roared, screwing his eyes shut as he threw his head back. Meanwhile, near Fluttershy's cottage on a hill, the Element of Kindness and the Lord of Chaos were sitting next to one another on a checkered picnic blanket, sipping cups of tea. "So, like I was saying, Celestia can be such a--" Discord stopped short as he perked up a mismatched ear, widening the length to hear better. "Is something the matter?" Fluttershy asked, worry lacing her tone. With a snap of his fingers, Discord's ear returned to it's normal size. "Just the sound of somepony getting pranked," he said with a shrug, "can't imagine who, though." Back at the bakery, Sombra was still scathingly angry as he continued to roar, the volume never decreasing. "Sombry, calm down!" Pinkie told him, putting his hooves on Sombra's, "I'm sure there's a logical explanation for this!" Sombra finally stopped screaming as he took in deep intakes of breath to calm himself and regain some sort of sense within himself. Once he managed to do so, he turned to Pinkie's masculine-featured face with a deadpan expression. "You know what?" Sombra said, raising his eyebrows, "I'm not bothered by it." Pinkie raised a confused brow. "Huh?" But, to his surprise, Sombra tackled him to the bed and pinned him, a sultry look upon his features. "S-Sombry?" Pinkie questioned, his eyes wide with shock, "What are you doing?" To surprise him even more, he felt Sombra crush his lips against his, causing Pinkie to freeze as his eyes widened to the size of saucers. "Sombra?!" Pinkie exclaimed, pulling away, "What the heck?!" Sombra gave his a deadpan look. "Isn't it obvious?" he questioned, raising his eyebrows. "Uh, no!" Pinkie shouted in reply, "I thought you only liked mares!" "What made you think that?" he asked imr, quirking a brow. Pinkie blinked in total shock, not sure what to say for a moment. "I... You... You fainted when I kissed you yesterday!" "Oh, that? That was because it took me by surprise," he told him, shrugging off his question, "It's been awhile since I've been with a stallion." Pinkie gave him a wide eyed look. "What..." he questioned, trailing off. Sombra sighed. "Pinkie, I used to go on conquests with my guards for months on end, no mares to be seen for miles around," he explained, "I accommodated, found a liking to it and that's that." "So..." Pinkie drawled, "you're not weirded out by this?" "Not really, no," he answered nonchalantly. "But, what about yesterday when--?" "I was turned into a mare," he interrupted, giving another deadpan look, "that's a bit out of my comfort zone." "Ooooh..." Pinkie said, finally understanding, "so, what now?" Sombra chuckled. "That's the question, now isn't it?" Meanwhile, at the Golden Oaks Library, Twilight was perched atop her stargazing balcony, her eye firmly fixated on the telescope. To see how her revenge against the couple that defiled her poor encyclopedias was going, she had the telescope pointed directly into Pinkie's bedroom at Sugarcube Corner. "Huh..." Twilight said, not sure what else to say as she watched Sombra kiss Pinkie, "I guess this goes down as a fail in the Revenge Department..." Unsatisfied with her failed attempt on the devious pair, she turned away from the telescope as she gathered her wits and made her way to the door. But, with a curious mind, she glanced back at the telescope over her shoulder, an internal battle brewing within her. Finally, she shrugged. "Maybe something will happen later?" she convinced herself, walking back over to the telescope. With curiosity having the better of her, she picked up the telescope and peeked through it once more, ready to inspect for any changes in her "revenge scheme".
