Twilight finally came to in Ponyville Medical Bay. She looked around, having suffered amnesia because of the recent gunshot. Rainbow dash saw her looking around and walked up to her. 
"Who are you?" Twilight asked.
"Wow, the effect of this amnesia thing really took a hit on you. Do you even know where you are?" RD answered as she eyed Twilight up and down carefully. 
"No...? Am I supposed to?"
"Wait."
With one mighty slap from Rainbow Dash's wings brought her to her senses. Twilight, after feeling her cheek, cast an angry glare at Rainbow Dash. 
"Sorry Twilight! You were knocked out by the watchamacallit!"
"GUN!"
"Gun." 
Twilight teleported herself out of the bed and headed towards the Everfree Forest. She growled. Then suddenly she sensed a magical Discharge, then... nothing. She zoomed towards the where she felt it, hoping whatever caused it was still there.

"Where am I?" James slowly got up and looked round the forest. 
"You are in the Everfree Forest. You shall meet a unicorn named Twilight Sparkle here. She will think you are an enemy and kill you, unless you show her you are part of their side. Then you betray them later. Got it?" 
James slowly nodded. He could feel his heart pumping. 'What?! A forest?! A unicorn trying to kill me? The hell is going on?!' 
"Your thoughts may not need to worry, James. You just follow my lead, and everything will be fine... Got it?"
James stood still.
"GOT IT?"
James jumped and nodded his head. "Just who are you?" He asked. "I will head back if you don't tell me."
"Everything will be revealed in time, James. Just hold onto the balloon, and it will lift you up to it."
"What? Hey wait, where are you? Don't go!  I NEED YOU!!"

Twilight finally popped out into a clearing to find a human standing right in the middle of a field, surrverying his surrondings. He seemed to be talking to himself, until he started to scream that he needed someone. Then he turned around. 
She regained her senses and asked the human who he was. "My name is James. I'm a time traveller." 
Twilight just looked dumbfounded. "What?" 
'A time traveller?"
"A time traveller, Twilight."
Twilight gasped. This 'james' knew her name! She quickly powered up a spell that knocked James back a few feet.
'Oh god, she's going to kill me.' 
"Look! I'll prove i'm from the future! Just tell me a year and I'll take you to it!"
Twilight thought for a moment. "Take me to the year 1000. Before all of this even started."
"Got it."
James seemed pretty dumbfounded himself. Was this strange pegacorn... him? He shook his head. No way. It can"t be. 
"James? Are you ready yet?" 
James looked around and saw Twilight charging up another spell.
"Okay, okay! Just give me 30 secs, okay?" 
James suddenly found out his watch device wasn't working. He gulped. Then he set the coorandinates, grabbed Twilight and pressed the button.
