Rarity was walking down the streets of Ponyville, Pinkie Pie as always came to meet Rarity, Rarity was not in the mood but she smiled and said hi, Pinkie was walking with her and started asking her questions, Rarity did not respond to half of them, but Pinkie did not stop, Pinkie’s last question was not pleasant at all, that question was what Rarity always tried hard to avoid thinking of, “Hey Rarity, where were you on Nightmare night? Every pony was searching for you and Sweetie Belle! You have missed such a show nightmare moon came and…” Pinkie hushed when she looked at Rarity’s sad face, Rarity did not want to answer, her story was too dark to tell anyone, but she still replied “oh well Pinkie…I was Celebrating but in a different way…” Pinkie smiled “ooh like being the lonely hunter? You’re good…” Rarity smiled and said “yes darling something like that”.
When Rarity came home from a long walk she started remembering what her and Sweetie Belle did, she layed on her bed and tears started to drop from her eyes, Opal came to her with a sad face, he cuddled next to her and started comforting his owner, Rarity hugged opal gently and said “Oh opal, what are we going to do?” Opal gave her a slight meow as if he was saying “I don’t know” Rarity started remembering the whole story, Opal came closer to her and Nudged her gently, Rarity Stroked Opal and gave him a slight hug.
On Nightmare night, Rarity does not go to the official Nightmare night Celebration Festival, she goes to the ever-free forest with Sweetie Belle and Opal, over the ever-free forest lies the forgotten graveyard of Ponyville, Sweetie Belle, Rarity and Opal go there every Nightmare Night to meet their mother, Sarity Star, she died when Sweetie Belle was a very small Filly, when she was not able to talk, Princess Dorixia, the third Sister of Princess Celestia and the Mother of Prince Blueblood and the ruler of Fillidelphia killed Sarity Star when she lived in Fillidelphia, Rarity, Opal and Sweetie Belle were sent to Ponyville and Rarity’s first friend was Pinkie pie. Their mother was a Fashion Designer, the Greatest Designer in all of Equestria, Once Dorixia killed Sarity Star when she was picking berries in the ever-free forest, Dorixia thought that she was picking them to poison her people; she killed Sarity Star and sent her kids to Ponyville, they were allowed to see their mother only on Nightmare Night every year in the grave yard, but only till Dawn. Rarity, Opal and Sweetie Belle missed this Nightmare night again, instead they went to see their mother, they passed the ever free forest and came to the grave yard, their mother was waiting for them, she had no mane or tail, she had lots of scars on her face and she had a ripped dress, she was standing on her grave and waited. Opal jumped on the grave and started hugging his first owner, Sarity leaned and hugged him in reply she ran over to Sweetie Belle and Rarity and hugged them too, Sweetie belle jumped up and down “Mommy I’ve missed you!” Sarity smiled and said “I missed you too” when Rarity gave her mother a hug she suddenly felt sad, she cannot feel her mother’s warm coat anymore, she remembered the time when she never hugged her mom, she never cared, now only if she knew, she would’ve hugged her every day when she came from School, now it was too late, she can’t feel her mother anymore, she forgot that feeling, oh how she wished to feel her mother’s body for at least one day, a tear dropped down Rarity’s cheek knowing it was impossible now, Sarity wiped the tear out of Rarity’s cheek and looked at her with understanding eyes, Sweetie Belle never thought of these feeling because she never felt a mothers warmth, that was how Sweetie imagined herself a mother’s hug: cold and hard. But Sweetie still loved her mother, not as much as Rarity did, but still she loved her like all little Filly’s love their mothers. Sarity Star looked at the moon, she glanced at Rarity and said “we don’t have much time, at dawn I will disappear, so I will speak fast” she looked straight into Rarity’s eyes and went on “I have found out how I can live eternally” Sweetie Belle and Rarity looked at each other with a happy smile, Opal gave a Meow of happiness and Rarity could not even express how happy she was, she would Finally get to hug her mother for real, Sweetie will be able to get that feeling that she didn’t know about, and Opal will be able to feel happiness of which he did not feel since his first owner, Sarity was dead. Even Sarity Star was happy, but she did not finish, she gave Rarity another glance and smiled “I was watching you and your friends, my darling, the way I will live eternally is to get more energy, and get it by stealing it from other pony’s life energy, and I want the energy of the pink pony, your friend…” Rarity’s happiness went down to shock; she can’t even pretend her friend without energy: that would kill her! “…and I want you to bring her to me next year and leave the rest to me” Rarity was torn, she really wanted her mother to live, but sacrificing her friend for that to happen would be very low. She went home with Sweetie Belle and Opal. On the next day she decided to take a walk and think about it, on her way she met Pinkie who was asking her stupid questions.
