//------------------------------// // Wait, What?! // Story: More Secret Stories? // by crashlanding12 //------------------------------// Wait, What?! “Fluttershy,” Discord said, pounding on the bathroom door of their suite. “You’ve been in there for more than half an hour. Are you alright?” Fluttershy stood, felt nauseous and looked green, in the bathroom. She felt faint as well, fanning herself with her hoof, to keep from becoming unconscious. She sighed and open the door. “May I…” She swallowed. “Help you?” “What in Equestria are you doing in there?” Discord said. “Trying not to faint, or throw up.” Fluttershy said, almost sounding sarcastic. “Are you alright?” Fluttershy turned even greener, ran back into the bathroom and threw up into a small trash bin. Discord ran to get her a napkin. “I’ll take that as a no.” Discord said back, handing his wife the napkin. “Can we go to the hospital? I don’t think I wanna go look around Canterlot today.” Discord scooped her up into his arms and teleported them to the Canterlot Hospital. “Wait, what?!” Fluttershy yelled at the doctor. “Calm down, please, Miss Shy. I was only saying you’re pregnant.” The doctor said back at the clearly surprised mare standing in front of him. “I-I’m p-p-pregnant? Oh…my.” Fluttershy put a hoof to her forehead and fainted there on the spot. Outside the office, Discord sat in a waiting room chair. “Mr. Discord?” The doctor said, sticking his head into the hallway. “Your wife fainted.” “Why did that happen?” Discord said. “Well, the reason she was feeling sick is because she’s pregnant, sir.” “Really? That’s a bit surprising.” The doctor closed the door, and walked back to the unconscious Pegasus being tended to. A few days past, and Discord and Fluttershy had returned from their honeymoon. Twilight decided to stay in the library for a few months, since nothing was needed of her in Canterlot. Twilight and Fluttershy were walking around town one day, chatting. “I’m so glad I’m staying her for a few months. My jobs in Canterlot are pretty boring, and they don’t really need much help anyway.” Twilight smiled. Fluttershy could only nod. She had too much on her mind. She had been back for almost a week, and she hadn’t told any of her friends the news. “Wait, one more thing Fluttershy.” Twilight said, opening her saddlebag and levitating a script. “Princess Celestia and I are running another musical. It’s the sequel to Pony of the Opera. It’s called Love Never Dies. She said that she would rather that the ‘original’ cast were to perform as their old characters.” Fluttershy looked nervously at Twilight. “You see, Twilight. I can’t do the musical.” Fluttershy said, trying to not be obvious. “Why not?” “Well, I… I just can’t.” Fluttershy sighed. “Just… gather the girls and we’ll meet at the library tonight, okay?” Fluttershy said, taking the script. “Hmm…okay…” Twilight responded as she saw her friend walk away. Spike was shelving books in the library when Twilight came back. “What in Equestria happened to her? She’s changed so much.” Twilight shook her head in anguish. “Who, Twilight?” “Fluttershy. She’s been acting strange ever since she came back from her honeymoon.” Spike shrugged his shoulders and went back to shelving the books he had out. Later that day: Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie, Applejack, Twilight and Spike were sitting in the Golden Oak Library, waiting for their yellow Pegasus friend to come. She was late for their meeting. Fifteen minutes later, the door swung open, revealing a clearly stressed out Pegasus. “Whoa.” Pinkie whispered. “Ya alright, Fluttershy?” Applejack said. “I’m fine. Just had a bit of trouble at home.” Fluttershy said, her voice sounding nervous. Fluttershy walked to a cushion and sat down, tiredly. “So, Fluttershy, what did you want to tell us?” Twilight said. “Well, I know this is sudden, and surprising, for me, even…” Twilight and the rest of the mares sat on the edge of their seats. Literally. “What is it, Flutters? You can tell us.” Rainbow said, putting a hoof on Fluttershy’s shoulder. “I’m not sure how to put this, but… I’m going to have a foal.” Pinkie jumped for joy. “Really?! When?!” “In the winter, Pinkie.” Fluttershy said. Rarity started laughing, realizing something. “Oh, that’s why your wedding dress was a bit small.” The girls all had a collective realization. “Oh…..” All giggled. “ Wait a minute,” Rainbow interrupted. “You’ve been married to Discord for a little more than a week. When did that happen?” “Umm… I…” Months later, Pinkie and the girls threw a baby shower for Fluttershy. Fluttershy was in her cottage one day, when, before she knew it, her cottage was decorated with balloons and streamers. “What in the-“ “Surprise!” the girls yelled, startling most of the animals in the cottage. “Oh, all this for me?” Fluttershy smiled. “Of course!” Pinkie said. “We all brought presents too!” “Here Flutters, you can open up mine first.” said Rainbow, placing a small box on Fluttershy’s lap. Fluttershy took off the lid and unfolded the blanket that was inside of it. A light blue blanket with a cloud pattern was inside it. “This is so cute. Thanks Rainbow.” “No problem.” Twilight levitated a wrapped shoe box to Fluttershy. “Here. It’s from me and Spike.” Unwrapping the box, the lid of the shoe box fell on the floor, revealing three books and a pacifier. “I bought a pacifier and enchanted it to make your foal fall asleep instantly.” Twilight laughed. Fluttershy nodded and put the box on the ground. “Me, next! Me, next!” Pinkie chirped. She placed a rectangular box in Fluttershy’s hoof. “It’s a hoofmade rattle!” Pinkie squeaked. “I made it myself.” “Aww, it’s adorable.” Applejack gestured to a closet. “My present is in there.” The girls looked to Rarity, who smiled nervously. “Did you get her something?” Pinkie asked mischievously. “Well, not exactly… Not yet, anyways.” Rarity laughed, unsure on what to say. “You see…I’ve been thinking. Not many mares in Ponyville are having foals, so…” Rarity took out a folded piece of parchment from her saddlebag. “I decided to adopt this filly from Canterlot.” She handed the parchment to Fluttershy-who was on the brink of tears and smiled brightly. “Oh, Rarity, I’m just….wow. I’m so grateful.” Fluttershy said through happy tears. Applejack came out, pushing a specially designed crib out of the closet space. The crib itself was cream colored, but had little black music notes carved in it as a design. The five other mares all had a collective: “Aww!” “Applejack, did you make this?” Fluttershy asked. “Not completely by myself. Apple Bloom painted it, Granny helped me put it together, and Big Mac carved the wood.” Applejack moved the crib near the stairs, so later it would be easier to put it upstairs. “Thank you so much, girls.” Fluttershy said, pulling her friends in a light group hug. “How much longer till you have your foal?” Pinkie asked, smiling. “I’ve got at least a month left.” “Wait a minute,” Twilight said. “Do you even know what your foal is? Meaning, is it even fully a pony, half-pony, half-draconequus, or fully draconequus?” “Well, I think it’s most likely it’s going to be half-pony, half-draconequus, because I’ve certainly felt an antler and a horn, but I’m not sure about anything else.” Rainbow coughed nervously. “Um, Flutters? Don’t you think your foal’s probably going to get bullied a lot, cause about Discord?” “I never really thought about that…” Pinkie spoke up, trying to lighten the mood. “Where’s Discord, anyways?” “Oh, he’s in Canterlot for a few days to talk with the princesses.” “I better be going. I have a lot of orders, and later next week, I pick up Ruby from Canterlot.” Rarity said, walking out the cottage door. “Bye Rarity!” The girls said in unison. “Do you girls want anything to snack on while you’re here?” Fluttershy said, walking slowly towards the kitchen. The girls looked at each other and shook their heads. “Nah, we’re good.” Fluttershy winced slightly, before walking back to her friends. Fluttershy sighed. “You okay, Flutters?” Rainbow said. “ Yeah, just a bit tired, that’s all.” “Yah want us to leave so you can hit the hay?” Applejack said. Yawning, Fluttershy nodded and walked upstairs, letting her friends leave. “She’s so strange.” Pinkie said, shaking her head. The four mares giggled quietly before exiting the cottage and walking to their separate homes.
