 	 One sunny day in the town of Ponyville, the Mane 6 lay on a blanket in a field, having a picnic. Pinkie Pie was skipping around in her usual, bubbly way and Twilight was reading a book from her library. As they were just finishing dessert, Spike, Twilight's loyal assistant ran up to them, tripping over a small rock in his haste. Panting, he got up as Twilight asked, " Hey Spike, whats the rush for?" Bending over to catch his breathe he wheezed, " I have a message from Princess Celestia", then burped fire and a piece of parchment emerged from the green fire. Twilight then levitated the letter with her magic as she read it, frowning as she reached the end.

" What is it sugar cube?" asked Apple Jack in a worried voice. " Princess Celestia has requested our presence in Canterlot, she said it's urgent", she said still frowning. "Well then let's go!", declared Rainbow Dash. After that they packed their saddle bags and rode the train to the great city, proceeding to the castle. After entering the throne room, they were greeted by Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. The princesses smiled as they approached, " Hello everyone, it is wonderful to see you all again", Celestia said to Twilight. "Hello princess, we got your letter, what's wrong", asked Twilight. Celestia's smile faded as she started to explain. " Well you see, Fire Star is missing,we haven't seen her for a few days." They then led the Mane 6 to their sister's bed chambers where they showed them the note she had left. 

They had just started searching when a loud crash filled their ears. They looked at each other and race back to the throne room. In the middle of the room, was a glowing red sphere, surrounded by deb-re. The sphere was glowing faintly but then started to get brighter as it grew in size. Suddenly, the sphere burst and light pulsed out of it as bright as the sun. After the light died down, the group looked in astonishment at what was standing before them. Where the sphere had been, now stood a dark red mare with a mane that moved like a living flame. Around her neck was a black collar with a blood red gem in its center. She then opened her eyes, revealing them to be a crimson red. She looked at the group of ponies before her and smirked. " So these are the ponies who represent the elements of harmony, how charming." 

Celestia had her horn at the ready, staring straight at the mysterious mare. " Who are you and what do you want?" The mare then chuckled, peering at the princess with hate-filled eyes, " I believe you know what i want, dear sister." She then activated her magic, which glowed a dark crimson red, and took aim at the princesses. Twilight and her friends then charged at the stranger, ready to defend Celestia and Luna. The mare grinned then fired a bolt of burning fire at the group which caused them to fall away from each other. Then, with a flick of her horn, she ripped a pillar from its place and hurled it at the princesses, pinning them against the wall. She then raised her head, laughing as the Mane 6 leaped at her from all directions.

But before they could reach her she teleported away still laughing. Suddenly a voice echoed around the room, soft at first, then as loud as a sonic rainboom. " I am chaos, I am destruction, I am Inferni!" As the stunned ponies got up they raced over to the pinned princesses, and freed them from the pillar. Twilight then looked at Celestia with frightened eyes, " Princess, who was that?" and her answer was a shock to them all, " That, I believe was our sister", and they all stared at the spot where Fire Star had been, unbelieving as to what they had just seen.
