Chapter 2: Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash
Soon I arrived in Ponyville after a short train ride from Canterlot. I walked around for a little bit, seeing the sights, taking in the smells, then I saw a pink earth pony walk right in front of me.
I just said "Hi", and then out of nowhere she gasps real loudly, and then just darted away, then I said to myself, "Well, that was weird."
I soon came upon what looked like a country road, I thought about it, and then I went down the road, and then saw what looked like a barn sitting on a farm. I thought to myself, " This must me some kind of apple farm. Good, cause I could sure go for an apple right now."
Then an earth pony with a cowboy hat, green eyes, and orange fur came up, and just started shaking my hand really fast.
"Howdy, we Apples are real keen are meeting new faces, I'm Applejack."
I was just shaking from her handshake and saying, "P-P-Pleased t-t-to m-m-meet y-y-you t-t-too, A-A-Applejack."
Soon I stopped shaking then she said to me, "So what brings you to Sweet Apple Acres?"
I said, " Well, I kind of got hungry after my train ride here."
Applejack smiled, and said, "Well, you can help yourself to one of our famous Sweet Apple Acre apples."
I said, "Thank you."
Then I said, "Also, I was sent to Ponyville by Princess Celestia to meet up with Twilight Sparkle, I guess I took the wrong turn. Do you think you can help me?"
Applejack just smiled and said, "Well sugarcube, I guess I can help you find Twilight, and maybe introduce you to my other friends too."
I smiled and said, "Sure, I like that very much, thank you."
Applejack and I were soon walking down the lane, when we saw a yellow pegasus with a light pink mane and tail. She soon saw us and came over to see us. Then she said, "Hi, Applejack. Who is your friend?"
Applejack soon answered, "This here is Danny Ritchey."
Soon the pegasus said, "Hi my name is Fluttershy."
I didn't quite catch the last bit because she said it almost quietly, so I said, "I'm sorry. What did you say your name was?"
She said," My name is Fluttershy."
I just said, "Oh, ok. Hey, we were just on our way to see Twilight. You want to come?"
Fluttershy just said, "Ok, sure."
Then as the three of us continued on our way, Applejack began to feel something in the air, so gave me a tug on my shirt and said, "I'd take cover if I were you."
I asked, "Why?"
She replied, "Cause Rainbow Dash might be coming in for a rough landing."
I didn't understand what she meant, but then out of nowhere I felt something slam right into me, as it turns out it was none other than a light blue pegasus with a rainbow mane and tail. She was covered in mud from the mud puddle she slammed me and her right into, which I felt really disgusted by cause I think a bit of mud got in my mouth, probably why I was going, "Pfft".
She chuckled and then said, "Ha-ha, uh excuse me? Here let me help you."
She then got a small cloud and made it rain over me to clean the mud of, but after that, I was completely soaked from head to toe. She soon saw what happened and said, "Oops, I think I overdid it. Here, let's try this."
She left and then she flew around me faster and faster until I was dry, I think she was doing what she called her patented "Rain-Blow Dry". Then she said, "No need to thank me you're quite welcome.
I just stood there with an angry look on my face, and my hair was like I was hit by an electric jolt, and what did she do? She just laughed in front of me with an amused look on her face. Then I said, "Aside from what Applejack told me, you must be Rainbow Dash."
She then stood up proudly and said, "The one and only. Why you've heard of me?"
I said, with an angry tone in my voice, "Heard of you?! You just flew down and slammed me right into a mud puddle."
She then said, "Sorry. So, who are you? I never saw you around here before."
I said to her, "It's ok. My name is Danny Ritchey, and I came from the human world via a strange portal."
She soon said, "Well, your clothes look like they could use a little fixing up. Hey, I know! We could take you to see Rarity."
I asked, "Who is Rarity?"
Rainbow Dash replied, "She is a friend of ours that knows a lot about fashion."
I said, "Ok, I guess we can go see Rarity."
Soon we were on our way to see Rarity, along the way I began to think to myself, "These ponies have been awfully nice to me, maybe I should return the favor, by becoming their new best friend. Yeah, that is sure to bring a smile to their faces."
