                                                                    Chapter 1: The Adventure Begins

Hi, my name is Danny Ritchey. I am 19 years old. I never thought that my life couldn't get any more exciting, but boy was I wrong. This is how my whole world got turned upside down one faithful day. I was just about to be done with feeding my dogs that live outside, their names were Taz and Sister, when all of a sudden I hear this weird hum, I couldn't figure out where it was coming from, then I saw a strange purple orb behind the shed in my backyard. 

I went to see why it was there, and as I reached out for it, I felt like I was being sucked in, then as I was flying through the portal, I was screaming, "Whoa!" 

I felt like I was going through the portal for what felt like hours, then at the end of the portal I saw a castle that stood tall and proud on a mountaintop. Then I suddenly had the realization that I had seen that castle before on a T.V show, and then it hit me, "That looks like Canterlot, but it couldn't be could it?" 

As I came closer and closer to Canterlot, I saw two creatures, what seemed to be two alicorns, one of them was bigger than the other one, it was white, and wearing shining gold jewelry, then I had the thought, "Could that be Princess Celestia?" 

Then I saw the other one, it was dark blue, and it was wearing a black crown on its head, and then it hit me, "And could that be her sister, Princess Luna?"

Then I saw Princess Luna's ears twitch as if she could sense I was coming. Then with a sudden burst of energy, I flew out of the portal and across the room, right into a suit of armor, but right as I was about to hit it I thought, "Oh, this is going to hurt." 

The two princesses went to where I had crashed, I was still moaning from the impact. Then as I opened my eyes, I kind of gave myself a little jolt of surprise, because I was not used to having two alicorns staring at me before. 

Then one of them spoke, "Who are you, and how did you get here?" 

I finally clamed down from my shock, and said, "My name is Danny Ritchey, first of all, Second, I came here because of a portal that threw me into this suit of armor."

Then I said to them, "Now that I told you who I am, tell me who you are.

" "We are the Alicorn Sisters. I am Princess Celestia, and this is my sister, Princess Luna." 

Then Princess Luna spoke to me, "I had a feeling you were coming." 

I wasn't quite sure what she meant, but I had a feeling that me being here was somehow not by coincidence. 

Princess Celestia then said, "Well, it was nice to meet you Danny. Now I suggest you go down to Ponyville, I will notify my student Twilight Sparkle that you will be arriving shortly." 

I just said, "Ok." 

From that moment on I knew I was about to be on for the ride of my life, then I did what Celestia told me to do, but first she gave me some money, or as it's called in Equestria "bits" to pay for a train ticket to Ponyville. Before I stepped on to the train, she said to me, "Good luck." 

I smiled and waved goodbye, and that was when I knew my adventure has only just begun.
