Can you do that for me?" The doctor asked Fluttershy in a calm, yet panicked voice. "Umm... I think I can do that." "Okay, get ready. I'm not going to sugar coat it. This is going to hurt alot." "Umm.. Okay." "Remember Flutters, I'm not gonna leave your side until our little colt is out." Spike said, gripping her hoof tightly. "Thank you, Spike. I love you." "I love you too, Flutters." "Alright. Push!" ~~~ 30 minutes later, "What do you mean?" "Well, your colt is a mixed breed. I would think there would be no questions about what two races he is." "So, h-he's a d-d-dragon?" Fluttershy panicked. "And a colt." The doctor said. Fluttershy began to tear up. "Ms. Fluttershy, I don't see what the problem is. Your new dragon-pony son is in perfect health and shape. He will grow up to be the size of a pony, but live half the life of a dragon." The doctor explained. "R-Really?" "See that, Shy? My son is gonna live long like me!" "But, he's half drag-" "Does it matter? So what if he's half dragon and half pony? What's the difference? We live in harmony with one another so a mixed breed shouldn't be so different." "But-" "No buts. He's not different. He's gonna live a long and healthy life and live happily." Spike said to Fluttershy. "Thank you, Spike, for being so positive about it." "You're welcome. Always here when you need me." "Ahem. Now that you two are done, should I bring in your new son?" "Please. Oh, and Spike, could you get the girls for me?" "Of course. I'll be back." Spike said to her. He kissed her forehead, and left. ~~~ 30 more minutes later, "Hey there Flu-" "Shhh! The baby is still asleep." "Ooh. Sorry, just really eager. Can I hold him?" Pinkie asked. "Sure. Just be careful. His head is fragile." "Of course, Shy. I'll be super careful, since I'm so experienced with the cakes two foals and-" "Shh!" The girls shushed. "Sorry, I tend to get carried away. "Isn't he the sweetest thing you've ever laid eyes on?" Fluttershy whispered. "No." Spike said. "What?" "Furball will not be sweet. He will be a bad-ass. He is my son and he will be a bad-ass whether he likes it or not." The girls laughed. "Hey, keep it down," she giggled. "you might wake him." "Oh please, if he's anything like me, than he'll be able to sleep through an apocalypse." Fluttershy giggled as she watched and listened to her husband lecture her on his new son. Suddenly, he felt something move in his arms. "Hey, guess who finally decided to wake up." Spike said, sitting beside Flutteshy. His eyes glistened from the evening sunset. His amethyst eyes shimmered like a light. "His eyes are beautiful." "Okay, he may be my little bad-ass, but he has some nice eyes. Gets 'em from me." "Your eyes are emerald, Spike." Fluttershy said between giggles. "Don't label me." He joked. They continued to converse with each other and to the dracony until the night ended and Spike and the girls had to leave. This is only the beginning, of a new life.
