//------------------------------// // Bright, beautiful, but unknown and undiscovered? // Story: Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy's day out // by thinko97 //------------------------------// "Wow! What is this place?" asked Pinkie as she glanced around the new forest. "I-it's so pretty," said Fluttershy. "Who would have thought something so pretty would be behind the Everfree forest!" she then exclaimed. "I know, right!" Pinkie responded, "and we're the ones who discovered it! See! I told you adventuring through the Everfree forest would be good!" "Well... Um... No, you didn't..." Fluttershy responded. "Didn't I? Hehehe, woopsy!" Pinkie said, somewhat apologetically. Her tone brightened as she exclaimed, "Oh, wow, just look at all these pretty rocks and leaves, Fluttershy!" "Oh wow, they are so pretty, Pinkie Pie!.. But, just look, this entire place is different, like, all the scenery, I mean. Like, just look at it, it's all equally as unique and pretty!" Fluttershy exclaimed, very excited about the new change of scenery. As they continued to explore this sudden change in scenery Fluttershy saw something unusual. "I... Is that a house?" Fluttershy said as she squinted. "Huh?" Pinkie replied as she looked up at Fluttershy, dropping the rocks she had been playing with. "Over there... Is that a house?" She pointed in the direction she was looking as Pinkie Pie looked across. "Oh yeah~ it does look like a house, but I don't think anyone would be out here... Would they?" Pinkie looked over at the house with a somewhat confused expression on her face. "Well, it can't hurt to go check it out!" Pinkie exclaimed as she took the hat off her head to put it back on her head with a determined expression on her face to make for a cool, close up facial shot. "O-oh, are you sure Pinkie? What if there's something scary there?..." Fluttershy whimpered. "Well, the more 'scary~' things, the more adventure, right?!" Pinkie Pie beamed as she proceeded to hop over to the house. As they got to the house, they did what any normal pony would do, and knocked on the door. "Hello~~." Pinkie drawled as she put her hoof on the handle, "is any pony in there~?" Without waiting for a reply, Pinkie then opened the door. "Oh... Um... Pinkie... Are you sure if someone is in there... That they would know how to react to other ponies? You know... After being out here for so long... I think as we were walking up I saw plants starting to grow out toward the hou-" Fluttershy was cut off by a very loud inhale from the ever excitable Pinkie. "Wh-what is it?!" Fluttershy said in a panicked tone "Nothing!" Pinkie said with a big smile on her face "Hehehehehehe, you should see the look on your face, Fluttershy! Priceless! Hehehehe hahahaha." Pinkie Pie continued. Fluttershy was just relieved that nothing bad happened. "Well, let's go in then!" Pinkie exclaimed. "Oh... Ok." Fluttershy said as she followed behind Pinkie. As they explored the inside of the building, they came to discover that it was deserted, there was absolutely nothing inside except for some furniture around the house that was growing flora on it. So, they left. They left the building and continued discovering the new, colorful landscape when something came to the attention of Fluttershy. "Don't you find it weird, Pinkie Pie?" Fluttershy asked. "Find what weird?" Pinkie said, with a puzzled expression on her face from the random question. "That there are no animals in this beautiful oasis?" Fluttershy responded. "Oh yea~ I guess there are no animals..." Pinkie came to realize. "Why do you think that there are no animals?" Fluttershy continued to ask. "Well... Maybe... Because of the Everfree forest being just outside of this forest, and who knows, maybe it surrounds this entire oasis and we're about to be eaten by a big scary monster waiting outside here because it's too pretty in here and maybe that same monster eats any other animals that come in here... -large gasp- maybe it's that giant manticore that eats all the animals before they can get into here!" Pinkie said with incredible speed... Like she does normally when she's overreacting to something, and making Fluttershy more frightened "HEY! I do not overreact!" Pinkie! Other ponies are around! "Oh... Right... Sorry..." Her mouth clamped shut. Pinkie looked over at Fluttershy to see that she was on the verge of hyperventilating and flying off, she squee'd once more and said, "Heh heh... Sorry, Fluttershy... I'm sure nothing bad will happen... Bu--... Never mind." Pinkie managed to stop herself from saying anymore. "So, let's keep exploring this colorful place! I mean, all we've found so far is an abandoned house and a colorful everything... But surely there is something else out here." Pinkie Pie stated. "Yeah, you're right... Let's keep exploring, then." Fluttershy said, after calming herself down. After a while longer of exploring, Fluttershy noticed something wasn't quite right, so she decided to try and check her mane, but Bob wasn't in there. She began to panic and looked everywhere else on her body. "Bob! Where are you?" Fluttershy called out. "What's that, Fluttershy?" Responded Pinkie Pie from a distance "I can't find Bob!" Fluttershy responded distraughtly. "OH NO!!" Pinkie Pie gasped "I know, we have to look for him," Fluttershy responded, trying to keep her cool, even though she was going crazy. "I mean, he's all alone... And we don't even know where we are as it is! It would be just awful if something happened to him!" Fluttershy continued. "Hmmmm..." Pinkie Pie began to ponder. "It seems our first problem with our adventure has arisen! Time to search and destroy!" Pinkie excl... Wait... Don't you me- "Wha- WHAT?!" Fluttershy shrieked "What?"... Pinkie, don't you mean search and rescue? "Search and destroy? We want to save Bob!" Fluttershy's eyes widened at the thought of 'destroying' Bob. "Oooooh, right... Sorry Fluttershy... I meant search and rescue... Hehehe, hahaha." Pinkie Pie giggled.
