Roller sat behind the police pony in the car.She cried softly while he was driving.The police started telling Roller,"Sorry kid,about your mother.I hope somepony adopts ya,"
A thought popped up in Roller's head."Scootaloo's unicorn friend will adopt me.Hopefully."
The police pony kept on talking to her but the filly didn't listen.She looked out the window and saw a large,old,and tan building.
"Here is your stop,"the police pony told Roller.
Roller opened the door in the car and grabbed her backpack with some of her belongs in it.
She slowly moved towards the orphanage's front door.Roller moved her hoof up to the door but she moved it down."I want to be with Mom,"she sighed.
The police pony raised his orange hoof and knocked the wooden door.A few seconds later a earth pony with lime green fur and tan hair in a bun answered.She put on her red glasses and asked,"Yes,what would you like?"
The boy police pony quickly replied,"Roller here lost her parent earlier today.She needs a place to stay."
The green earth pony responded,"Yes very well.Age?Date of birth?Birthplace?Race?"
Roller started,"Age 8,I was born on October 12,2006,Vanhoover,and I am a pegasus mare.
The earth pony nodded as she wrote this all down.She told Roller strictly,"I am Pear Sprout,but you call be Madam Sprout."
They both waved to the police as Pear Sprout closed the door and led Roller to her room.Madam Sprout gestured her hoof towards the room at the end of the long hallway.She told Roller,"That is the mare's room.Barely anypony is there because it is school hours,"Madam walked away leaving Roller alone.
Roller stepped in as she saw a young filly.She looked four or so playing with a toy plane."Hi there I am Roller,"Roller told the cute filly.
The filly turned around she had Rosy pink hair with light yellow stripes.Her fur was lemon-yellow."Hi,I am Pink Lemonade,"she stopped playing with the plane and looked at Roller.
Roller went to a empty bed and put her bag by it.Pink Lemonade's hot pink eyes were covered by long curly hair.The young earth pony went by her and she asked,"Why are you in this orphanage?"
Roller frowned and sighed,"Both of my parents are dead,"Pink Lemonade frowned at her response.
"My parents aren't died,"Pink Lemonade told her,"They hated me so they sent me here."
"Hated you?Why?"Roller asked in concern she moved closer to the filly.
"Well,first I have a problem that makes me look younger then I am.So probably I am going to be your size when I am fully grown.Because of this problem I can't think as well.My parents wanted me to be famous scientists like them.But I can't even read."Pink Lemonade sighed.
Roller frowned and thought,"Her parents abandoned her because she was born that way?How cruel!"
"I am so sorry for you.How old are you?"
Pink Lemonade told her,"I am 11.Don't feel sorry.I am just retarded.I shouldn't be treated right,"Pink Lemonade walked away and slouched in her bed.
Roller ran over to her and sat by her. she comforted her,"We are just as important as each other Pink Lemonade.You are perfect just the way you are.And you are not retarded!I don't get why your so called parents did that to you.That is in the past though.This is now Pink Lemonade."Roller put her hoof around her and squeezed her.
"You really think I am special?"Pink Lemonade asked her.
"Of course!"Roller told her.
The day went by very fast.Pink Lemonade and Roller became friends and talked and played all day.It time to get ready for bed now.
Thirteen orphanage fillies were brushing their teeth playing and spitting at each other.Pear Sprout clapped her hooves and commanded,"Bedtime for all of you please finish and go to bed,"she walked out of the big bathroom.
Roller got in her bed it was pretty stiff and she could feel the springs,but she curled up and cried herself to sleep.
Early in the morning,the next day, Pear Sprout rang a bell and announced. Somepony is here to adopt somepony!Please line up and look nice,"Madam Sprout galloped out of the room and brought in a dark blue pegasus with blonde hair.
All the orphans quickly lined up horizontally and fixed their hair.The pegasus,a stallion,came in and looked for about two minutes.
After looking for a couple minutes.He pointed his hoof towards Pink Lemonade.Pear Sprout whispered something in his ear and he put his hoof down.
Pink Lemonade immediately frowned.The stallion then pointed to a girl pegasus and then they went out of the room.
Pink Lemonade started crying and going towards her bed.Roller was about to go towards her then a familiar purple unicorn came in,and a young pegasus filly that looked just like her.Immediately she zoomed towards Scootaloo and hugged her.Roller exclaimed,"You came!"
Twilight smiled and told her with joy,"We are here to adopt you."
Roller jumped up and down in excitement.Pear Sprout came in and asked Twilight,"You want to adopt Roller?"
"Yup,"Twilight responded.
Twilight walked out of the room while Scootaloo and Roller talked and giggled.
A few minutes later Twilight came in and announced,"I am ready to take you to Ponyville."Roller stood up as she saw Pink Lemonade bailing in the corner.
Roller came up to her and told her,"This is goodbye for us.But I know you will get adopted.I will miss you Pink Lemonade."she hugged her as tight as she could.
"I will miss you too,"Pink Lemonade responded.
Roller walked to her bag of stuff,picked it up,walked to Twilight and Scootaloo,and went out of the orphanage.
