"-Square. Hey, you awake yet?" A voice said.
My ears seemed to only register the last half of my name. I slowly opened my eyes and had to blink several times until they adjusted to the light.
"Thank goodness. I was worried something bad had happened to you darling," another voice said. "The way Twilight talked about you, had the rest of us worry with her."
One too many voices if you ask me. The only voice I wanted to hear was Twilight's. "Where's Twilight?" I asked, my voice hoarse. I sat up,against my body's wishes,and looked around.
"Is she awake? " A familiar voice questioned whoever was with me.
I smiled happily as Twilight walked up the steps using her magic to levitate a tray with a glass of water. She then brought the cup to my face. I took it and downed its contents. I sighed with satisfaction. Now that my throat was moist again( I had a habit of sleeping with my mouth open), I could explain myself. "Twilight, I-I ran away from school during recess because everyone was whispering and they were acting as if I didn't exist. I hatched a plan to run away. Then I ran into Fluttershy and she took me to Sugar Cube Corner. I had a cupcake. Then I ran into the Everfree Forest, even though you said not to, and tried to use that teleportation spell that you said I couldn't do. Then everything went black." I said, without taking a breath.
"Lemon, that's no way to deal with that sort of situation." Twilight said in a tone that sounded like she was scolding me.
I hung my head. What was I supposed to say now? "Your right. I couldn't do that spell and I shouldn't have run away. I raised my head and stared at the six ponies in Twilights room. I quickly wondered where the other two had arrived. "B-but, the teacher didn't seem to hear them all. They were saying things like, she's a blank flank and she looks like she doesn't have a mom." I said trying to counter Twilights earlier statement.
"Still. Your going to apologize tomorrow. Your also going to make up whatever assignments you missed..there will be no slacking in this home." Twilight said, her inner student coming out. The other ponies laughed. How could you laugh at that? I'm the one going to be stuck inside doing some dumb schoolwork. I guess I don't really go out much..
A little while later.....
The three fillies from yesterday came to visit me after they checked with Twilight to make sure I was awake.
"Mah name's Apple Bloom." The yellow filly said. She has a big pink bow in her mane. "We was worried when we found out y'all had gone missin'." She said.
"I'm Scootaloo!" The orange one said. "It was mostly Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle who were worried." She said trying to act cool.
"And finally, I'm Sweetie Belle. Don't worry about Scootaloo. She was worried about you too. She just doesn't wanna admit it." The white filly said.
I looked at the three of them and sighed. "Why were you worried? It's not like the others were worried. I assume the teacher was worried, but that's beside the point." I said, laying down and covering my body with the covers. I turned from them.
"Well, We had somethin' like this happen. Only, Ah was bullied 'cause Ah didn't have mah cutie mark. Then Ah found Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo." Apple Bloom said.
"Then we formed the Cutie Mark Crusaders." Scootaloo said.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders? That sounds fun but I doubt I'd fit in. "I'm thirsty. Can you ask Twilight to get me some water?" I asked. I turned to face them. They looked at each other before exiting the room and going down the stairs. Their conversation was muffled so I never fully heard what was going on.
Twilight returned. "How about you stay the night in my room? This way I know you won't run away." She said trying to make my wrong-doing into something comical.
I nodded anyway. I still felt the effects of the spell. Twilight climbed into her bed and faced away from me.
"Promise me you'll make some friends." She said before giggling. "Sorry. It's just..i sound like Celestia when she told me to go make some friends."
"How?" I asked.
"How what?" Twilight asked me.
"How did you make friends?" I asked looking at her with determination. If she didn't tell me, I'd get it out of her one way or another.
Twilight rolled over to face me. "I made friends after a huge adventure but you can make friends by just being you, Lemon." She said looking at me.
"What if I can't be myself? What if the others don't like me when I'm being myself?"
Twilight stifled a laugh. "You'll be fine. Would you feel better if I had Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle to look out for you while your at school?" She asked me.
I gave her a deadpanned look. "I don't need a babysitter Twilight."
She giggled again. "Alright. Well, their going to be there to help you just in case." Twilight said as she yawned.
"Twilight. Thanks. Thanks for everything. I-I'm sure by now..i'd be dead and not have anything to eat or drink." I said.
Twilight smiled. "It's no problem." She said. A look came across her face that could be read as an idea had popped into her head. "Lemon, How would you like to join in on Twilight Time?"
I probably smiled wider then I ever have. "I would love to your highness." I said laughing.
"Good Night, Lemon Square." Twilight said with a grin.
"Good Night, Twilight Sparkle." I said as I closed my eyes.
