//------------------------------// // Chapter 3: The Accident // Story: Done by Dashie // by Lightning Fire //------------------------------// 3 days went by, and nothing happened. No one found Lightning Fire, and nopony knew where else he could be. Some ponies believed this was a setup to get fans, but others had a better idea that he was hiding in an area most ponies wouldn't dare go into, and started a new meeting. They all wondered about Rainbow Dash, who was just going about her routine, and didn't say anything when asked about the contest. They were suspicious, but they didn't know what else to ask, so they left her alone. Rainbow was just lying around without a care in the world. As she saw the sun go down, she decided to visit Lightning's camp again, mostly to make sure she could win the contest whenever she wanted. Rainbow quickly flew down from her house, and went straight into the Everfree Forest. As she was flying over, she thought about how to catch him, and the loads of bragging she would do in front of Applejack, who was still checking every last tree for the Black Wonderbolt. When she almost made it to the spot where Lightning Fire was camping, she noticed something. It looked almost exactly the same as when she stumbled upon it on Monday. There was the tent and the lamp in that enclosed area of trees, even though the lamp's battery was quickly dying as the moon rose into view, but there was a wet and muddy suit beside the lamp. She look all over the campsite, careful not to touch the ground. After a minute of searching she noticed a small set of footprints leading East, and figured Lightning was taking a swim in the nearby river. Rainbow decided to watch him come back to the campsite, and settled on a tree above the tent to sleep. As Lightning Fire was trotting back to his little base, he started hearing this very disturbing noise, so he ran over to his food bag, got a snack, ate it, and quickly hid in his tent to decide on what to do, so he closed the tent fast. He didn't want that sound to continue, but when he zipped the tent up, the noise that caused him utter confusion stopped. He decided to stay awake, in fear of being found. But as the night wore on, he fell into a deep sleep, tired from trying to learn how to swim on his back. He didn't dream much that night, but he did see a silhouette of a mare flying towards him. 2 days later, Rainbow couldn't stand to wait anymore. She wanted to finally answer the question she had always asked herself when she was tired: what would it be like to sleep with a Wonderbolt? Now she had her thoughts about the Wonderbolts, and decided to answer this curious question. Once she got to the tent, she decided to answer it the clean and easy way. She snuck into the tent, looked at the sleeping pegasus, and thought of another, deeper question she wanted to answer. She then decided to have fun while he was asleep. She slipped into his sleeping bag, and proceeded to make out with him. He was in a deep sleep at the time, so he was still unconscious even when she took off his suit and got in close to him. But she grew tired, and by dawn she was asleep right beside him.
