Don't go into the woods

The Night Never Ends

Pinkie was disoriented. The whole room seemed to spin around her. Pinkie tightly closed her eyes, hoping for relief from the dizziness. She opened her eyes again, but this time the room was stationary. She looked around to see where she was. She was in some sort of cellar. She didn't recognize the room, but there was something familiar about it. She couldn't put her hoof on what it was though. She took a deep breath, smelling the musty, damp air.

She looked around the room, hoping to find something that showed where she was. There was no indication of where she was, but there was a hallway at one end of the room. 'Well, might as well start there and try to find a way out' she thought. She walked down the long corridor for what seemed like an eternity, before she reached two doors, each one with a sign on it. "Maybe there is a way out through one of these doors" she said, as she approached the first door.

She read the sign aloud. "Some things are never forgotten, only pushed away." She gave a confused look. "Now, what in the hay is that supposed to mean" she questioned. She pushed open the door, to reveal a familiar room. It was her bedroom at the rock farm. There was two beds in the room. On each bed lay a small filly. Pinkie looked at the fillies, recognizing them as herself and her sister, Maud, as fillies. They were both sound asleep, not moving a muscle. Pinkie walked into the room and looked out the window. It was raining outside.

Then Pinkie heard what sounded like hoofsteps coming from the hallway where she had just come from. "What was that" came the young Pinkie's voice as she sat up in bed. "Oh, it's just me, Pinkie. I'm you from the future" said Pinkie to her younger self. She didn't even notice."I don't know" said Maud. The hoofsteps got louder as they got closer. Pinkie turned around to see a brown stallion with a hat step in the room. The two young fillies screamed as he entered the room. He quickly rushed over to Maud and lifted her up with magic, indicating that he was a unicorn. He silenced her screaming with his magic.

The young Pinkie backed herself into a corner as the stallion approached her, keeping his grip on Maud, whom he was levitating behind him. He lifted up the young pink filly. As soon as he did, their father stepped into the room. "You put my girls down, or I'll kill you, you bastard" Pinkie's father said, lifting a sledgehammer they used to crush rocks. "Now, let's not do anything rash, hm? We wouldn't want something bad to happen to these sweet little girls, now would we" the unicorn said. Pinkie's father was even more angry now. "I've had enough of your shit. You put them down NOW or I WILL kill you" her father said. "I'm afraid I can't do that. Besides, where I'm going to take them will be SO much better than this boring rock farm" replied the stallion, who was strengthening his grip on the fillies.

Pinkie's father let out a scream, and smashed the unicorn's head with the sledgehammer, causing him to lose his grip on Maud and young Pinkie. He screamed in pain, as blood started to run down his face. The unicorn shot a burst of magic at Pinkie's father, who avoided it with ease. Her father charged at the bleeding stallion and slammed him against the wall. He raised the hammer again, and struck the stallion in the chest, breaking his ribs with an audible crack. Her father struck the unicorn in the head again, breaking off his horn. The unicorn cried out in pain. "P-P-Please stop!" He was now severely bleeding from his head and chest, making puddles of blood on the floor. Pinkie's father raised the hammer once more, and smashed the unicorns' head, which burst open, spilling his brain and blood onto the floor.

Pinkie closed her eyes, and began to cry. When she re-opened them, everything was gone. She was all alone, no one around. The images she had just seen was a memory that had taken place in her childhood. She had pushed that memory to the back of her mind, never thinking about it. Having to relive that incident again made her want to vomit. That had to have been the worst thing she ever endured. She was terrified to find out what was behind the second door.

Pinkie walked across the hall to the second, final door. This door didn't feel like the other door. This one had a darker, more sinister feel to it, like there was a dark force behind it. Scared of what was behind the door, Pinkie read the sign. "A child has prayed unto his mother, and made a contract, sealed with blood." This terrified Pinkie. She cautiously opened the door, revealing a dimly lit room. Pinkie entered the room, and saw something that confused and terrified her. It was a young filly sewing flesh onto a pony's skeleton. The child then picked up a knife, and began to stab the corpse while chanting "Sweet Mother, Sweet Mother, send your child unto me, for the sins of the unworthy must be baptized in blood and fear." Pinkie didn't know what to do. She stood there and watched, not moving for fear of being killed by this filly.

Then, out of nowhere, came a pony, dressed in black robes. He had a black mist that radiated around him. She could tell he was nothing but pure evil. "The g-ghost pony" Pinkie said to herself. "You have called upon me, Child of the Night. Whom shall I kill" said the ghost pony to the filly. The filly then turned around and pointed at Pinkie. The ghost pony then began to walk toward Pinkie. Pinkie ran out of the room as fast as she could. She looked behind her to see the ghost pony right on her tail. She began crying out of fear for her life. She turned around once more to see that the ghost pony was no longer behind her. She faced forward again, and ran into something solid. She hit the floor hard. When she looked up to see what she had hit, she saw the ghost pony. He then revealed his blood-stained, razor sharp teeth. Pinkie screamed as he lunged forward. He bit into Pinkie's head, and everything faded to black.

Pinkie shot up in bed, and immediately ran to the bathroom and emptied the contents of her stomach into the toilet. She looked up at the clock on the wall. It was two in the morning. Mr. Cake rushed into her room. "Pinkie, are you okay?! We heard you screaming! Is something wrong" he said as he came to Pinkie and pulled her in close to him. "I'm fine. I-I just had a really bad nightmare" she said. But she knew they were just more than nightmares. They felt too real to be just nightmares. She needed to go see Twilight.
