A Simple Repair
Part 8: Cut Down

I walked out into the Colosseum holding Serena in my hands waiting for my brother to enter. The second he entered there was a roar of applause from the crowd all of them screaming for him to kill me. Flame has no idea what he was facing against now. "Guess I get to destroy him in public." A devilish smile morphed onto my face. "Perfect." I whispered never taking my eyes off of Flame he was wearing his uniform. We walked to the center of the Colosseum I saw Flame upgraded from his broad sword into a claymore still won't protect him from the pain he will receive.
"Hey frosty I still see you can't handle a real blade." He said hefting the heavy claymore onto his shoulders I only stood there glaring at him. "I'm going to enjoy watching you die." He whispered to me. as he backed up slowly.
"Fighters are you ready?" The announcer asked. "First blood wins. Begin." Flame charged me to slow I slashed quickly moving my still moving blade to intercept his blade and deflect it. Flame stood there staring me down. A cut appeared across his cheeks and nose blood poured out of the wound. "And that's it Frost wins." The announcer said but Flame lifted his blade swinging down on me yet again I deflected it again and again his assault was relentless. "I said the battle was over." The announcer yelled but our fight continued.
"Flame you lost give up before I have to put you down." I said calmly staying on the defensive. He swung with his fist but was met with my blade across his knuckles. He cursed as he swung again. I was beginning to become annoyed with this ignorance. He continued his assault until I went on the offensive carving into his flesh slightly with every strike he was backed up into a wall I had my blade pressed against his chest were it would barely break the skin.
"ENOUGH!" A voice bellowed from the stands I looked back to see where it had come from when I felt an ice cold pain in my side I looked back to see Flame holding a knife it was stuck in my side my mind iced over I grabbed his throat tightly. "FROSTWING DISENGAGE!" I released Flame's throat walking away from him I saw that it was Celestia who had yelled I knelt infront of her. "You are the victor as promised you are free to go and your brother will be stripped of all his rank." Celestia began as she turned around.
A bloodthirsty howl erupted from where Flame was he was charging Celestia holding his claymore at the ready. I pulled the dagger in my side out throwing it hard. It hit home right into Flames shoulder he dropped his blade but continued to run. I stood up blade at the ready when he was close enough I made a single slash straight down Flames chest making him collapse on the ground. "Flame for your crime I pass my judgement." I lifted my blade making two deep cuts onto his shoulder blades cutting the muscles under the skin. "I steal your power of flight." I sheathed Serena calmly before walking over to the princess.
"Ever thought about coming back Major?" Celestia asked with a gentle smile I only shook my head.
"I have someone that I want to protect and I can't if I am in the military." I shrugged smiling. "But a military contract for my research could be worked out the designs are old and need a good upgrade." I outstretched my hand. "I'm sure we could work out the budget." Celestia extended her hand shaking it happily. "Now if you excuse me Princess." I turned around beginning my walk back to my area my vision swirled as I walked I fell to the ground everything burned but the wound felt the worse. That fool poisoned me to bad for him he would suffer the same fate. My world darkened as I saw medical personnel run out onto the field.

I awoke after what felt like an eternity I looked around seeing a large group of people in my room all asleep except General Thunderstrike I slowly stood up she noticed motioning for me to follow her. I did what was asked of me. "What's up sis?" I asked following her she turned around smacking me upside the head my world spun from the impact.
"Damn fool making that girl worry about you like that and no Major under my leadership should get stabbed so easily." She yelled at me I was trying to regain my senses from the smack. "But anyway I am glad to see you won over that idiot brother of yours even protected the princess in your state of being stabbed and poisoned." She chuckled happily. "Good to see the Frozen demon fight once again." I sighed at hearing that title.
"No sis that was me fighting I didn't let the demon out if I did that first attack would have taken Flame's head not just cut him." I said looking down at my hands I had tore my hands open at the grip I was putting on the handle. "It took every ounce of control to not kill him with every strike." I turned away to look out of a window in the hospital.
"So about that Rainbow girl she was crying all the way until she fell asleep what do you think that's all about?" Thunderstrike asked elbowing me lightly. I only sighed smiling.
"I get a date with her but I don't want a date from this battle I wanna date from me asking her out." I sighed thinking about how I was going to go about it.
"Maybe I should go wake her up so you can ask her." She smiled like a devious fox. I only smiled.
"She is already awake and is listening to our conversation." I said walking over to the door I heard her scurry back to her seat I only chuckled lightly. "Rainbow I want you to meet a very important person in my life right now can you come outside?" I asked there was no answer but I heard her walk over to the door.
"Was it the girl from before I'm gonna guess she is your girlfriend or something." She said looking down at the ground. Thunderstrike began to laugh as if she was in a craze she was holding her stomach in pain.
"Me date this Maggot not in a million years." She said through her tears of laughter. I pouted.
"Thanks Sis I can see you love and respect me." I said with a sigh I felt a fist slam into my stomach making me fall flat on my face.
"What was that Frost?" She asked angrily.
"I said my sis is the best person in the world worth my love and respect." I said through my pain. She placed her boot on my head.
"Now say your sorry."
"My deepest of apologies Sister I will never do it again." I whimpered out I felt her boot remove itself from my head.
"I always wondered why he never got angry when I hit him." Rainbow said smiling and trying not to laugh at me.
"This one is a wimp against women won't raise a hand to them unlike his brother." Thunderstrike looked out the window at the moon.
"Anyway." I said standing up. "Rainbow Dash I would like to introduce my little older sister General Thunderstrike." I smiled.
"Little older sister?" Rainbow asked confused.
"She is not my blood sister but we have enough respect for each other that we are family to each other she is older than me but smaller than me hence. "Little older sister." If you ever need help she is the one to go to." I said with a smile. But felt a smack upside my head.
"Anyway I have to go home to see my boyfriend he is probably worried about me." She said walking away. "Oh and Frost. If you hurt that girl's feelings I will kill you understand?" She asked with a smile I shuddered as I quickly saluted her she turned around walking out of the hospital.
"She can be so mean sometimes." I stated sighing in pain. I heard Rainbow giggle. "Anyway we should get back to bed." I said walking back towards my room I felt Rainbow grab my shirt making me stop.
"I thought you were going to die when I saw you collapse." She was shaking I turned around pulling her gently into a hug. "The doctors said you might not make it." She was crying into my shoulder. I moved my hand along her prismatic hair smiling gently. She continued to cry in my arms until she stopped I picked her up gently walking into my room I placed her on the hospital bed pulling the covers over her I reconnected all the IVs to myself and sat down in the chair next to the bed my hand holding onto hers. I smiled as I drifted off to sleep.

The next few days was me staying in the hospital until I was cleared to leave and was poison free. I still felt sore but it was good to be able to leave the hospital I was surprised to see Rainbow Dash waiting for me outside the hospital. I smiled walking up to her.
"Shall we get this stupid date underway?" She asked me trying to hide her blush I only sighed.
"You know I never agreed to that date so I have to ask you on a date first." I smiled to her. "Unless you are asking me out first?" I said teasing her. She blushed even more until I felt her fist come down on my head.
"Stupid idiot." She turned around in a huff. I walked up to her hugging her with a smile.
"Rainbow Dash would you give me the honor of taking you out on a date?" I asked as a whisper. I felt her place her hand on my arm gently. I smiled.
"I think I would like that Frost." She said I could hear the happiness in her voice I felt her grip tighten on my arm until it was pulled from around her she yanked my arm upward making me fall to my knees. "After you apologize to me for making me worry about you so much." She said pushing up more on my arm until there was a loud pop.
"Rainbow..." I felt her let go of my arm in a hurry I stood up looking at her my arm dangling at my side. "I'm sorry for making you worry so much." I smiled grabbing my arm and pushing up on it forcing it back into place hurt like hell but oh well happens I guess. "Let's catch that train before I have to go back into the hospital due to unforeseen complications." I chuckled walking towards the train station she quickly followed me walking beside me. I reached down grabbing her hand she didn't move away or attack me she just gripped it back I could see the happiness in her smile.
