After Octavia and Blueblood told Charming Thunder that Twilight was going to be alright, he was sitting on a cushion meditating. He opened his eyes when Princess Celestia entered the tent. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything," she said.
Charming Thunder then got up and said, "Oh, no. Not at all. Please come in. Have a seat." Celestia sat on a cussion that was across from him as he levitated two tea cups and a tea pot. "Care for some tea?"
"Oh, yes. Thank you." The teapot then poured some tea in her cup as it also poured in Charming Thunder's cup.
"So...what brings you here?"
"I have a task for you." She then sipped her tea and continued her conversation. "Deep in the Everfree forest, there is a cave. I want you to go into that cave."
"What's in there?"
"Only what you take with you. Bring your weapon just in case you need it." They both then continued to drink their tea before Charming Thunder would leave to go on his mission.

In the Everfree forest, Charming Thunder walked up to the entrance of the cave. He turned and saw Zecora sitting next to the entrance. "You guard this place?"
Zecora chuckled and replied, "No. I am only a watcher."
Charming Thunder looked with concern and said, "Then you'll let me pass?"
"Celestia has sent you here for a reason. This is your path during this fine season."
He then turned to the cave and took one step then asked, "You know what I'm looking for?"
Zecora took a long pause and said, "Something lost. Or something apart of yourself from the past." Charming Thunder then peeked inside the cave as the zebra said, "If it is what you seek, you will find it inside." He then nodded and entered the cave. His horn glowed to light the way through the cave. There was nothing while he was walking but vines. He looked around as he proceeded forward. He heard a cracking sound and turned to check where the sound was coming from. He was about to check behind the vines when suddenly, a hooded figure walked out of the vines. It barely shows his face with red tattoos all over it. He wore a black cloak over his body. As he moved towards him, Charming Thunder activated his lightsaber and pointed it towards the figure. The pony did the same but it was double sided. He stroke first and Charming Thunder blocked that attack. Charming Thunder attacked his right hoof but the horned pony blocked it. He then jumped over him and sliced between his legs. When he landed, he turned to find the figure standing until he split into two pieces. The figure then faded away like mist like it was a vision. Charming Thunder was shocked of what he just witnessed.
Zecora was still sitting outside of the cave until she saw Charming Thunder walk outside of the cave. "What you have seen in that cave," she said as she got up. "You will follow it to believe."
"To confront this minion of Luna if I have to," Charming Thunder said to himself. He then walked down the path back to Ponyville to tell his aunt what he just saw.

At Canterlot, an pony with devilish horns on his head, yellow eyes, and red tattoos all over his face entered Luna's throne room to see what she wants. He then kneeled to the presence of the queen and said "What is thy bidding, your highness."
"There is a task I have for you," Luna said. "You will go to Ponyville and take care of a pony named Charming Thunder. You will kill him."
"And what of Twilight Sparkle?"
"She is not of your concern. Soon the rebellion will be crushed. Your work here is finished, my friend. Go to Ponyville and do as I ask."
"As you wish, your highness." He then left the throne room to complete the task that was given by Luna.
"He will be no match for you, my apprentice."

Charming Thunder entered the medical tent to visit Twilight Sparkle. He kneeled next to her bed and waited for her to wake up. Twilight started to groan as she was waking up. He then smiled in relief that she is okay. "Where am I?" she asked.
"You're in a medical tent." She turned and saw her coltfriend next to her.
"Charming Thunder!" She then hugged him as she was surprised to see him. "Its so good to see you again." She then gave him kisses on his cheek and laid back down in her bed.
"It has been a while, your highness." Charming Thunder then got up and bowed to her. "I'm just glad that you're alright." They both then shared a kiss. "I've missed you, Twilight."
"Me too." Twilight then got up from her bed and started to walk with Charming Thunder.

The apprentice's ship landed on a hill close to Ponyville. He was looking through his binoculars to find his target in the town. He then saw the red unicorn he was looking for with the purple alicorn. "There you are," he said. He then walked up to his speeder and sat down in it. He turned on its engines, grabbed the handles and started to head straight to Ponyville.

"I see," Celestia said. Charming Thunder and Twilight were with the princess discussing what he witnessed in the cave at the Everfree forest. "So that cave showed you whats going to happen in the future?"
"I think so," Charming Thunder said as he was polishing his helmet. "I also think that it is a minion of your sister."
"This...horned figure," Twilight said as she asked, "Do you know him?"
"No. But what I do know that he might be coming for me." He then heard a speeder flyby past the tent. "What was that?"
"I don't know. But we are going to find out." The group then walked out of the tent as they saw a hooded figure get off of his speeder.
"So...you must be the famous Charming Thunder," the hooded figure said.
"Yes. And I want to ask who you are and what your purpose is here."
The figure then removed his cloak to reveal himself. It was the horned earth pony wearing a black robe on his body. "I am Maul. Apprentice to Queen Luna. I have been sent to kill you."
"Just as I predicted," Celestia said. "An assassin." Maul grabbed his lightsaber from his belt and held it in his hoof. Charming Thunder stepped forward and grabbed his lightsaber and readied for combat. Maul's lightsaber had two red blades on both sides when he activated it. Charming Thunder activated his and he was the first to strike. He hits the left blade as Maul blocked. Charming Thunder jumped back and shot lightning out of his horn. Maul blocked the blast whit the right blade of his sword. Charming Thunder then charged at him and locked his blade with his right.
"You are strong," Maul said. "But not strong enough to defeat me." He then pushed him back then twirled his lightsaber. He strikes Charming Thunder with both of his blades but he blocked those strikes. Charming Thunder then sliced Maul's lightsaber as the one half flew aside. He roared in rage and charged at him ending up locking their blades together. Maul broke the lock and used his magic to blast Charming Thunder to the ground with his lightsaber no longer in his hoof. Maul was standing over him ready to finish him off. As he was about to stab him, Charming Thunder dodged the attack and grabbed his lightsaber. He then jumped over him and cuts him in half. As he landed, he turned to see Maul standing still. When his lightsaber deactivated he began to fall apart.
"Your lightsaber will now be part of my collection, Maul," Charming Thunder said as he grabbed Maul's lightsaber. The crowd cheered for his success of defeating Maul. He then gestured two unicorns to throw out Maul's sliced body out. Charming Thunder then entered his tent and placed his lightsabers on the belt of his costume. "I will defeat you, Aunt Luna. You can count on it."
