The five ponies stared in shock and dismay as the pie Pinkie threw practically floated towards the monstrosity in slow-motion before their eyes, as if to make sure that their last moments were to be in high-detail. They watched it approach the giant who was turning around to face the object, and lifted its metal arm seemingly to catch it...
...and catch it did.
But there was no splat of the gooey contents within the pie, there was no violent reaction--Instead, a light blue aurora began to encircle the space around the machine's palm, which felt electric in property, for the ponies' fur began to stand, and a strange but powerful magical presence blossomed in the atmosphere.
Twilight was thoroughly amazed as what revelations this could mean for them by witnessing such an event. There was a sentient race that existed outside of their own planet, had technology vastly superior than what they could even imagine, and could artificially perform MAGIC.
The Pie accelerated, and was dragged into the field. It then gently wobbled around in circles within the water-like bubble containing a massive amount of potential force.
Being the scholar she was, she wasted no time in analyzing every little detail she absolutely could, studying the fluxuation patterns it created, as well as trace the source and how it was produced. Meanwhile, everyone else was being a normal sane mammal by being mesmerized at the display.
But no sooner had it begun, it ended shockingly forcefully with a loud report, as the field suddenly exploded, the soft blue contorting into a burning red, pulsing back outwards like a fire. The pie shot back towards Pinkie Pie with great speed, and within the blink of an eye, reached her face and splattered purple jelly all over her body with enough force to dig a trench with her body several feet long.
She hopped back up on her legs, and cleaned her face lickity-split with an impossibly long tongue, puckering her lips.
"Mmm! Grape-Flavor!"
No longer in their stupor, realization of what had just occurred began to sink into their minds:
A mean, scary robot with unimaginable firepower teleported into Equestria, and dealt with a pie being thrown at it with hostility...
...and it is about to respond just the same--except with things yielding a lot more destruction than pie.
Applejack found her words first.

As if screaming in fury, the same unintelligible screeching voice blasted from the machine, and it promptly stomped into the earth before the five friends, adjusting itself in a combat position, looking ready to crush them all. The ponies once again dove onto the ground and covered their ears to purge the horrible sound from entering. This time, the voice sounded much more intimidating and threatening, certainly giving it the characteristic of being angry.
After what seemed like an eternity, the sound stopped, and they were once again under the subjugating glare of the massive being of pure industrial power. As if they were a broken film reel, they once again looked into its eye of oblivion, thoughts of death scribbling all over their minds. Fluttershy was crying harder than ever before, along with Rarity. The others didn't seem too far away from doing the same.
My friends are in trouble! The big mean bully isn't lightening up after what I did to it, and what it did to me! Looks like I'm going to have to step it up! No one still messes with my pals and gets away with it!
