Detective Stories Case One: "Robbery Gone Bad"

by Fryguy

2. Interviews

The Detectives and Rarity arrived at the police station, Rarity was placed in one of the interview rooms, and so far, Lilly thinks Rarity could be a witness to the fatal stabbing death of Werson. The detectives wait awhile for the right moment to go into the room, then Lilly and another detective enter the room.

"Hi Rarity, now, we are investigating a murder case right now. What do you think happened tonight?" Rarity hesitated, and was shaking a little, then said.

"I think I remember Werson having a conflict with the flower ponies."

"You think they might have wanted to murder him?"

"No, but I think they were the ones that got Werson agreeing to rob me." Rarity claims the flower ponies, may have conspired Werson to rob Rarity.

"Ok, I'll be back." Then the detectives left the room.

"What evidence do we have right now?"

"Well, we found Rarity's hoofprints on the knife." Rob found Rarity's prints on the knife lying next to the victim.

"Wow, did Rarity just lie? That's good stuff!" The detectives then high fived each other.

Later, the detectives ounce again entered the room, and they were trying to resist smiling, because, well, Rarity might be the killer.

"Hi, we found a knife at the crime scene lying next to the victim, and your hoofprints are on it."

"What? Ok, I'll come clean." This startled the detectives, they may have already caught their killer.

"I still think the flower ponies conspired Werson to rob me, but whoever killed him might have been robbing me too." She also claims that one of her bread knifes was missing before the murder.

"Who do you think had conspired with him to rob you?"

"I don't know." The detectives decide to come back later. They leave Rarity alone again.

"I think we have enough evidence from Rarity to bring the flower ponies in. We'll have to question them too. Plus, Rarity's breadknife was the murder weapon, we may have to arrest her." So Rob comes into the interview room and puts cuffs on Rarity, then he and other officers lead her away.

The detectives also learn from Rarity that the flower ponies were at sugar cube corner, so the detectives go towards the little shop. They find them picking up cupcakes from Mr. and Mrs. Cake. Lilly thinks it's a good idea to bring the couple in as well, after all, they might be witnesses to the fatal stabbing as well.

Each pony was in a different interview room, they decide to talk to the flower ponies first, so Rob and Lilly enter the room. Daisy only looked at the floor. She looked very tired.

"Ok, let's get this over with, so Daisy, we need to talk about Werson, what problems were you having with him?"

"He had a debt to pay off, and he was planning on leaving for Canterlot the next day." Daisy claimed Werson had a debt to pay of for her and the other flower ponies.

"One day we had wanted the money because he paid the rest of it for a train ticket. We thought that he could rob somepony so he can pay the debt, and he insisted on taking another pony with him." Daisy also claims that Werson had partnered with Rainbow Dash to rob Rarity.

"Rarity saw them and got a breadknife, and stabbed Werson in the stomach." Daisy also claims Rarity spotted them filling bags with her bits, and started stabbing the victim, they had a wild chase until Werson stumbled and Rarity stabbed him to death, then took off running.

"Werson was dead, then Rainbow Dash came to the body with a knife of her own, while detectives were in Rarity's shop, and stabbed the victim to make sure he was dead." Daisy also claims that Rainbow Dash had stabbed the victim more to make sure he was dead, then took the bits he had, and ran away.

"Ok, thank you."

"We got a lot of information, and we believe we have another pony involved. Rainbow Dash." But the team decide to question the other ponies too, and enter the interview room with the second flower pony.

"Ok, we're here to solve the death of Werson, he was stabbed to death, do you know what happened?"

"Daisy wanted him dead." The flower pony claims that Daisy found him in the bouquet, and wanted the money very quickly.

"She snuck in, got a breadknife." The pony also says that Daisy got the breadknife and hurled it at Werson and what she said to be Rainbow Dash, striking Werson in the chest. He fled until he fell in a alley where Rainbow Dash had stabbed him to death.

"Ok, thank you." The detectives leave the room.

"Wow, two different stories, and that points to Rainbow Dash as the killer. The third flower pony might give us answers."

"So, we need to know if you know or saw killed Werson."

"Rainbow Dash did it." The mare claims to see Rainbow Dash stabbing the victim to death.

"You sure that was Rainbow Dash?"

"Positive."

"Ok, thank you."

"Yes! That's good stuff, we now know Rainbow Dash was part of the robbery. We also know she could be the suspected killer! That's good stuff!"

"Now we need to prove that claim by interviewing the cakes."

"Let's do it!"

Mr. Cake, we need answers, can you tell us who killed Werson?"

"I saw Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Daisy, Daisy told Rainbow Dash and Werson to rob Rarity." Mr. Cake claims Daisy told Rainbow Dash and Werson to rob Rarity, but in the bouquet Rainbow Dash and Werson had a argument about who gets the most bits, Rainbow Dash then stabbed the victim, they had a wild goose chase, Rainbow Dash stole one of the breadknifes and used it against the victim, killing him in the alley, where he was found. The detectives were stunned. Rainbow Dash was in fact the killer, they had enough evidence to bring her in, and maybe even let Rarity go.

" Ok, thank you, you may leave with Mrs. Cake." The Detectives then leave the room, with smiles on their faces.

"YES! Good job team!" The detectives high fived each other.

"Now all we need to do is find Rainbow Dash. Then this case is closed!"
