//------------------------------// // Reunion - Chapter 103 // Story: Diary of the Night // by CalebH //------------------------------// “YOUR TAIL’S JUST A BLOB!!” Celestia shouts as she brings her hoofs down on the stone beneath her. My sister’s beauty has been compared to that of a swan. Long shapely limbs, pure and white, ever moving with grace and charm. If she is a swan right now that swan has been turned on its back and is flailing about desperately trying to right itself. Her uncut main and tail are in disarray around her the gentle ethereal wind they ever waft on has turned to something of a cyclone. Her long limbs flail about awkwardly in her anger. It is a rarity to find an event so grand that Celestia will dress for the occasion but nopony, save me, has ever seen her so exposed. In all fairness my appearance is no better but at the sight of Celestia stamping her hoofs in anger and name calling like a filly in the middle of a tantrum I cannot help but laugh. It starts out as a snorting giggle that is only increased by the look of confusion and anger she gives me. Soon the sound of my full bellied laugh is accompanied by Celestia’s giggles. As bright and burning as it was moments before, our anger gives way to mirth just as powerful. I collapse to the floor, no longer able to support myself as laughter wracks my body. Celestia is soon to join me. “You looked silly Tia,” I say after laughter has faded to sporadic fits of giggling. “Not as silly as you, Lulu,” she tells me in return. I smile up at the marble ceiling for a time. Every grievance I had had with my sister for more than a thousand years had been aired this day yet even as our anger had faded and the reasons behind it had run out we were still here, together. We had ripped every piece of verbal armor off of one another. In our mutual anger we exposed every dark secret and sought to use them against one another. Now with nothing left between us I have never felt myself closer to Celestia. “I missed you,” She says as she wraps her hoofs around me. I missed you too. -L
