//------------------------------// // Rarity's Birthday (45 mins) // Story: Thirty Minute Sparity Prompts: from SparityLoveisForever // by SparityLoveisForever //------------------------------// It was the middle of the week. Most of Ponyville didn't really have the time to notice this party even with Pinkie Pie throwing it. There were however four males who noticed that this party was coming to be. Rarity's birthday party was going to be the classiest party Pinkie had ever thrown. It was a very formal occasion and the fabulous designer had insisted on her friends wearing her latest creations for them. She had even made something new for Spike so he could be there. She did after all want all of her best friends there. It was after the party began that several males came up to meet and greet the fashionista. The first was a Pegasus stallion who had a black coat and an almost electric blue mane. He was better known to most of Ponyville as Thunderlane. When he approached Rarity he gave her a simple heart-shaped card with the words “Hey babe, you must be a diamond because I found you in the rough.” Rarity's reaction to the card was dismissive. She had seen a hundred stallions try to get her this way and she sick of it. She quickly used her magic to crush the card and toss it into the nearest wastebasket. Rarity continued on making her way to the punch bar with her brand new dress holding her form delicately and showing off her features in her most impressive fashion display to date so much so that describing it could hardly do it justice. She slowly used her magic to pick up the punch she wanted and started to slowly drink it. While she waited there she was approached by another stallion, this one offered a sad looking red rose to her with a small note. The note read, “I'm sorry, give me another chance and I'll be your stud for always.” When Rarity finished the card she didn't even have to look she knew exactly who it was. She couldn't even believe Prince Blueblood got in here. She balled up the rose with her magic and tossed it into his mouth which was open with anticipation. She then shredded the note to leave him covered in confetti. Finishing him with spitting her drink back at him ruining his mane, causing him to shriek and run off. Rarity decided she would try her luck at the dance-floor and moved out to the center of the dance-floor making what Twilight called dancing look completely ridiculous. As Rarity danced she was greeted by another stallion an this earth pony had an orange coat and dark brown mane and tail. She slowly let Caramel join her dance and the pair danced together quite well. Then he offered a gift, a hoof sized box of chocolates with the words, “I really think you're sweet,” on the front of the box. Rarity shook her head and then passed him back the box it was just another gift from a nameless admirer. They rarely made her happy any more she had gotten so many of them and she was just lest frustrated with his attempt as it had been less forward. All night long Rarity had been waiting for a chance to open some gifts from her friends the Ponies who knew her best. When she stepped off the dance-floor, she was again interrupted this time however it was Spike. He smiled up at her and said, “Happy Birthday, Rarity. It's always a pleasure to see your beauty.” She looked down at Spike and he was holding a bouquet of twelve white roses, her favorites, small box, and a card. He held up the card for her to read as he bowed before the mare of the day. She moved her eyes over the simple message and proceeded to put her arm around her dearest friend. She looked into his eyes and said. “Thank you, Spikey. For making this the best birthday ever.” She gave Spike a kiss directly on the lips and then used her magic to put his gifts on the gift table with the rest from her friends and then took Spike out to the dance-floor. The pair danced in slow steady unison looking so right together. They really loved each other deep inside and it was really the first time Twilight saw that her assistant had really grown up. Spike and Rarity spent the rest of that night together. They laughed and played games and even spent the night together. When they both woke up on her fainting couch the next morning the pair had been in each others arms the whole night. They both felt loved more than they ever had in a long time. Spike looked over at his sleeping beauty and slowly started to slip from her touch. He wanted to make a breakfast worthy of his new found special somepony. He slowly moved to head towards Carousel boutique's kitchen area and then started to get the things he needed ready. The boutique was filling with the most delightful smells as spike worked on the quiche he was trying to make just for her. He slowly moved both plates down onto her kitchen table as Rarity was starting to Awaken. She smelled the quiche and soon made her way towards the scent her body raising wanting to find the scent. She slowly opened the door when Spike had finished putting the plates down on the table. “For my lady, the best breakfast I can offer.” Spike said proudly and slowly moved to offer her a seat, then take a a seat in the chair opposite hers. Rarity smiled as she looked over at him and slowly used her magic to cut a slice out of her quiche. She took a lady like bite out of the slice and then neighed a little bit in joy at the unique flavoring and texture of the quiche. She couldn't hardly believe just how amazing it tasted and then slowly said, “Oh Spikey, I think you're my number one assistant too.” She smiled and rubbed his spines on-top of his head and then moved over the table to kiss him again slowly. The pair shared a tender kiss and then finished up their breakfast. Even with all the let downs she'd had recently Rarity was just so happy to be with someone she really cared about. She just couldn't imagine not being with Spike now. Spike somehow felt the same way her body and the motions it made with every step just made her all the more alluring. Now she was his and he had to his very best to protect her at all costs. They slowly got together and headed out into the next day together as well since in all the hubbub of the other day everyone had almost forgotten it was now Heart's and Hooves day. On the fainting couch was the now open box which still contained spike's gift and it was a very fashionable gold bracelet with a set of blue diamonds set in the shape of her cutie mark on the primary part of the bracelet. The note on the simple card said, “Love is like a diamond, and it will only last forever with you by my side. Love, Spike.”
