Rainbow Dash was getting ready for a big pegasus race called the "Lunar Race," since it was being held at night.
"Rainbow, be careful!" Pinkie called from below the clouds in Ponyville.
"I will! Don't worry!" Rainbow replied. Rainbow had been practicing every day and now it was time. In 2 hours the race would begin.
Finally, the race was just about to begin. There were 16 racers in the whole thing and Rainbow was number 9.
"I am just so excited! But not as excited as I was when I met Twilight walking in town!" Pinkie Pie said.
"Yes, darling, we are just so happy for you!" Rarity added.
"Thanks you guys." Rainbow beamed.
"We hope you win," Twilight said, "you are such a wonderful flyer! I hope to soon be able to fly like that!"
"We also hope that you don't get hurt." Applejack looked worried.
"I won't!" Rainbow assured her.
"Especially since it is dark out... be safe from monsters!" Fluttershy hid behind Twilight.
"Ladies and gentlecolts, the race is about to begin!" Everyone started cheering as the announcement came through the loud speakers.
