Chapter Eleven: Obsidian, Now!

Waking up, I sighed, looking out of the window at the now-sunlit town. You could see the mess of the town-square; the blood, guts, bones and corpses littering the ground. Several creature tumbled to the ground, dying as they tried to get away from the fire that was now eating away at their flesh and bones.

Twisting my neck around, I scanned the room. Most of the ponies had left the room, leaving only Derpy, Trixie and Fluttershy. They slept so peacefully, I couldn't help but think if they ever tossed and turned in their beds. I end up doing it, and on several occasions, fallen out if bed because of it. I'm surprised that the other ponies weren't still here looking out the window. They seemed quite uncomfortable last night about it.

Pulling the covers off of me and hopping off the bed, I walked over to the corner of the room and grabbed my clothes. I don't think I noticed, but the 'cleaning' spell that Twilight had casted last night seemed to clean my clothing, too. I wonder if I should make some new clothing soon; my old ones have for heaps of holes and tears in them. Putting my backpack on and scanning the other room, I saw that only Vinyl was still sleeping there, the rest probably downstairs. The room had a few books lying on the floor. Likely Twilight. She was the 'bookworm' of the town, after all...

Lumbering down the stairs, I didn't expect to see the ponies making breakfast in the kitchen. I don't know why they were cooking me breakfast, but it smelt good. Apparently the ponies heard me grossing downstairs, and turned to look at me. Damnit! I hate being the centre of attention. "Hi," I uttered, before taking an empty seat at the table. I lay my arms onto the table and faceplanted into them. I was tired, and my body was achy in so many places.
"Good morning!" I heard a voice speak, before hearing ceramic placed before me. That's strange. I didn't stock the cupboards with anything yet. Lifting my head, I saw that it was Applejack, who had sat next to me and was eating a slice of what looked like apple pie. I looked at my own plate, to see that I too had a steaming slice of apple pie on my plate. I frowned in confusion.
"Where'd you get the plated from?" I asked, pondering why the ponies went and mane me breakfast after what they saw me do last night.
"When we found out that you didn't have any plates, Pinkie Pie went and grabbed a stack from her house for us to use. She says that she's gonna need them back though," She stated, taking a bite of apple pie from her plate. Apparently these ponies didn't use cutlery...

Summoning the old knife that I had made back at Fluttershy's, I stabbed the food and started to eat. Crap! I had almost forgotten that the apples taste so good here! And this tastes even better anyway! I mumbled in approval, causing Applejack to laugh. "I'm glad you like it, sugar cube!" She said, before turning to chat to Rainbow Dash.

I am honestly surprised that the ponies were handling the situation so well. There were burning monsters screaming outside, and the ponies just continued to eat breakfast. Amazing... Do the ponies all have a multi-personality disorder or something? I was dismissed of the thought when a mint-green unicorn appeared next to me. I sighed. "Hello, Lyra," I greeted flatly. This stubborn pony would continually ask me questions about a place called 'Earth,' but I don't know what the hell 'Earth' is.
"Whatcha doing?" She asked enthusiastically. I swear...
"Nothing much," I said plainly. Lyra wasn't a bad pony, but her curiosity could strangle somebody... Twice!

She was just looking at my hands. Staring into the very souls of my digits. She looked like a pedofile, honestly. I even took the utmost caution while eating, making sure that she didn't try to jump me or something. Luckily, Bon Bon noticed that I wasn't comfortable, and came to take Lyra away. I was actually very thankful for her. Again, Lyra wasn't a bad pony, but she could be really creepy at most times.

"Sorry about her," the creamy-peach coated mare apologised. She bore a pink and purple mane, and had neither a horn nor wings.
"It's okay," I corrected her, "She was just being... Unique..."
"She's been talking about 'humans' for years now, and now that one actually exists... She just let her curiosity get the better of her," Bon Bon explained.
"It's okay, really," I responded, "I just hope it doesn't happen again," I sighed.
"Trust me, it won't," Bon Bon spoke, before saying goodbye and trotting off. I honestly hope that she means what she said.

Pixel was somewhat worried now. It's world was starting to die, and the water was becoming boggy. The sky was beginning to turn a dirty brown colour, and abnormally large storm clouds seemed to border the horizon, convincing him that a storm was rolling in.

The poor wolf didn't know what to do. He was impossibly thirsty, and his mate, Cuboid, was currently unconscious by the portal. He could teleport to his master, but he couldn't bring Cuboid with him, and he didn't wish to leave her behind.

Sitting down, Pixel lay next to Cuboid. The entire world felt so uncomfortable now. Master's house was gone, encased with a flood of lava, and the portal was now surrounded by a completely circular fissure, blocking anything from entering or leaving. The portal would keep flashing and screeching, changing from red to purple every few seconds.

A rugged breathing that sounded like two slabs of concrete being pulled against each other came from behind Pixel. Turning around to find the noise, he saw a blazing spirit floating behind him. As it manifested a fireball, the rods of fire floating around the blaze fed a light, orange magic to the ball of fire. In a flash of bright light, it fired a fiery orb directly at him.

Out of pure instinct, Pixel teleported to his master. Although, as he floated through the inter-dimensional tunnel of pulsating lights, he thought only two words... 'Damn it!'

One minute ago, I was sitting at the table and talking to Twilight. Now, there was an oh-so familiar wolf barking in my face. I couldn't manage to do anything but blink. Pixel? How'd be get here? He must've teleported to me. Hm...

All of the ponies just sat there and stared. "Um... Another one of your 'tricks?'" Twilight questioned.
I began to pet Pixel, then answered, "No. It's one of his tricks," I stated, "He can teleport to me whenever he chooses. I'm just not sure how he was able to do it across dimensions," I said, the wolf acknowledging me by giving Twilight an approving bark.
"Hm... What else can it do?" Twilight asked.
"It's a 'he,' Twilight. He can sense when I'm in danger, and will teleport to me if I am. He can also teleport to me as he wishes, but that doesn't end up happening very often. He heals as I do: with food, too," I informed her. I was almost suddenly knocked to the ground as Fluttershy flew over to see Pixel closer up.
"Oh, he is so adorable!" She spoke, "What's his name?" She asked, emphasising the word 'his,' and giving Twilight a disapproving look. Twilight just sunk back into her chair and gave a sheepish smile.
"His name's Pixel," I stated confidently.
"Oh, that's such a nice name, isn't it? What does it mean?" Fluttershy gave me a curious look.
"I don't know," I spoke. Looking around at all of the ponies watching us, I continued, "I can't remember anything later than the past thirty days or so,"
"That must be horrible," said Pinkie Pie, her flattened mane from yesterday having turned back again. I don't think I'll ever get used to the randomness and impossibility of that mare...

"I guess I could try to find a remembrance spell," Twilight commented, "but they are quite complicated and very difficult to perform. Even for Princess Celestia, it would be quite difficult to do,"
"Nice way to be optimistic!" I sarcastically teased. Damn, it was so hard not to troll and piss off people sometimes.

Almost suddenly, Pixel jumped out of Fluttershy's grasp and over to me, then he started yapping and barking at me. Fluttershy's eyes widened, and she seemed to be listening intently. I leaned over to Twilight. "What, can she listen to animals or something?" I joked.
"Yes," she replied, earning a falter in my grin. Although she didn't seem to see it, as she was too intent on watching Fluttershy. I guess I shouldn't have asked...

"Um," Fluttershy mumbled, "Do you have another dog?"
"It's a wolf actually, and yes," I said... Wait a minute. Cuboid? Why didn't she teleport with Pixel? They always do stuff together. Something must have happened to her.
"He says she's in trouble," Fluttershy said, worried of what might have happened. This was bad. What could have happened to Cuboid? What was wrong?
"I need tonnes of obsidian, now!" I commanded.
"Wait, what!? I don't have that much at my boutique!" Rarity spluttered. I couldn't waste time. Pixel probably teleported because he was in trouble. That must mean Cuboid was too!
"I don't care! I need it now!" I shouted. I hated to shout, but the adrenaline had already started pumping, and I was prepared to do anything for that obsidian right now.
"I-I'm sure that Lemon Quartz would have quite a lot, but why do you need it so badly?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah," Rainbow Dash added, "Why the big rush?"
"To save Cuboid!" I said, bursting out of the door. Today was going to be a big one...
