//------------------------------// // Part 10: Fashion Passion // Story: Chaotica // by Evowizard25 //------------------------------// Rarity and her captors appeared in a dark room. No light was visible. She couldn’t see anything. “I say, can’t somepony turn on the light. I can’t see my own hoof in front of my face.” She raised her hoof to emphasize, but of course, no one could see it. Just then, a low light lit up the room. “Thank you.” “Prepare yourself, Earthling.” Lunar said. “For you’re in the presence of our lunar ruler.” “She’s out of this world.” Shroud added. “Bow down before her magnificence.” “Oh, please stop.” Rarity heard somepony say. She strained her eyes to make her out. The pony walked into the light, revealing herself to be none other than Princess Luna. “Rarity, the element of Generosity, I presume.” Rarity nodded. “Princess Luna? You’re working for Discord.” “Much to my chagrin.” Luna scowled. “But how? Why?” Rarity asked. Luna raised a hoof to silence her. “Now is not the time for questions.” She turned around. “Follow me.” As they walked on, a thousand thoughts ran themselves through Rarity’s brain. “Princess Luna’s working for Discord? So, is she evil, or is Discord controlling her? And why Trixie? I mean, this doesn’t even make any sense….And why are those Lunanites wearing such tacky cloaks?’ They finally reached a door big enough for a dragon to fit inside. Lunar used his magic to unlock it. The door then opened up and the group entered. In the middle of the room, was a desk and a tailored chair. Shroud put a hoof in front of her as to say that she couldn’t go any further. The chair turned to reveal Discord, brushing a familiar white Pegasus. “Surprise.” She said, cheerily. “So,” Discord said. “We finally meet, miss Rarity.” “Actually, we’ve met before.” She pointed out, glaring at him. “Yes, but those were…not the best circumstances.” Discord said, looking apologetic. “Let me just say, that I feel terrible for my previous actions and I wish to make up for them.” Rarity laughed. “That’s rich, darling.” She said. “What in Equestria would make up for all those horrid things you did?” Discord smiled. “I’m glad you asked.” He turned his head to look at someone behind him. “I think you can take it from here.” Rarity raised an eyebrow. ‘Who’s he talking to?’ Out from behind Discord, walked Photo Finish. “Hello, Rarity.” “This can’t be.” Rarity’s eyes bulged. “You’re just an illusion. Some sick trick Discord is playing.” “Hey, I don’t play sick tricks.” “You made me think a rock was a diamond.” Rarity scowled. Discord smiled, sheepishly. He scratched the back of his neck. “In hindsight, it was pretty mean.” He chuckled. “But you should of seen your face when Applejack brought it up. Priceless. I even took a picture.” He pulled out a large, framed photo of Rarity, glaring at Applejack. “How did you…” Rarity started. “I was there every step of the way, my dear.” Discord smirked, throwing the picture behind him. “Ow, watch were you’re throwing things.” Blueblood could be heard yelling. “On second thought, thanks.” Rarity growled. ‘That snobbish boor. How dare he?’ “Now, back to the matters at hand.” Discord waved Photo Finish on. “Miss Rarity, I, Photo Finish, have seen your work, and I have to say, you are brilliant.” Rarity’s eyes shone. “Really?” “Yes, and I decided that you would be the perfect pony to design for me.” Photo Finish said. “I…I don’t know what to say.” Rarity said. ‘This is too good to be true.’ “What’s the catch?” “Catch?” Photo Finish asked. “Yes,” Rarity said. “I’m dealing with Discord here, the spirit of disharmony, not to mention the same being that placed a wicked curse upon myself.” “I apologized.” Discord said. Surprised nodded in agreement. “Well, that hardly makes up for it.” Rarity turned her head away. Discord sighed. He held up a hand. “I, Discord, shall no longer prank the Element of Generosity.” He looked at her. “Happy now?” “Well, for what may be, you are a spirit of your word.” Rarity said. “But please, tell me why I was brought here.” “I brought you here, because I’m in need of your help.” “My help.” Rarity said. “Discord, Equestria’s number one enemy, needs my help.” Discord chuckled. “My dear, there are things far more deadly then I.” He told her. “I’m sure you’ll meet some of them soon enough.” He scratched his chin. “From the information I’ve gathered, you’ve already met a few of them.” He picked up a folder and opened it up. “Manticores, paraspritres, dragons…quite the list. Even Xenosians.” He smiled. For some reason, Rarity could see a tint of sadness in his face. “I remember them giving the Alicorns a run for their money.” He sighed, while his gaze grew distant. “They were a clever race. Carnivorous though. They’d have you for a snack…Though he would punish them for it. He preferred hadrosaurs.” “Umm, Discord.” Luna said. Rarity could see she was growing upset as well. “You’re getting off topic.” Discord stared at her for a moment, before shaking his head. “It appears I am.” He looked over to Rarity again. “Sorry for that. Nostalgia seems to be hitting me hard, recently.” Rarity couldn’t believe herself. She felt sorry for him, the wicked spirit of chaos. She could tell whatever he was talking about, it brought up painful memories. “It’s no problem, dear.” Discord smiled. “Now, the thing I need your help with is this.” He waved a hand in the air. As he did, a parchment appeared before Rarity. “Inside is a special design that was discovered by miss Finish here.” Photo Finish smiled and nodded. A blue spider monkey walked over to them. Rarity gasped. She’d never seen anything like him before. “Hey, I was the one who showed her the picture in the first place.” “Shut up, spider man.” Discord said. “Why must you all wear those atrocious black cloaks?” Rarity said. “Atrocious.” The spider creature and Lunanites said. “Now, see here.” The spider creature said. “I’ll have you know that black cloaks are quite menacing.” The Lunanites nodded. “Yes, but those just don’t suit you three.” Rarity said. “After I finish with this,” She used her magic to pick up the parchment. “I’ll get right to work on something for you all.” Before the spider creature could respond, Discord teleported before her. “So, you’ll do it.” “Of course,” Rarity smiled. “I could never say no to such a task. Fashion is my area of expertise after all.” _____________________________________________________________ A couple of hours later, Discord was flexing in front of the mirror. “You look quite dashing in that.” Rarity commented. Sweetie Belle was standing patiently beside her big sis. “I do, don’t I.” Discord smirked. “Oh, she won’t be able to keep her hooves off me.” “Are you talking about Princess Celestia?” Rarity quirked an eyebrow. Discord blushed. “N-n-no.” He said, with shifty eyes. “Darling, you may be the spirit of disharmony, but you are a terrible liar.” Rarity said. Discord grumbled and crossed his arms. “I can’t help that.” “I say it’s a good character trait.” Rarity said. “Take Applejack for example.” Discord rolled his eyes. “Please, that girl has lied more times than I can…” He was interrupted when Rarity threw a pinwheel. “What was that about?” “I don’t take kindly to people insulting my friends.” She glared at him. “Alright, I take it back.” Discord rubbed his head. Sweetie Belle giggled. He smiled. “Well, at least somepony enjoyed that.” “Actually, I rather enjoyed that as well.” Rarity said, levitating another pinwheel. “Shall I go again?” Discord puts his hands up in defense. “No. No. Let’s not.” Rarity giggled. “Big sis.” Sweetie Belle looked up at her. “Could you make me something like that?” “Why ever would you want to dress up like that ruffian?” Rarity asked her. “I’m still here.” Discord waved his arms about, but they continued to ignore him. “Well, I kind of like it.” Rarity sighed and nuzzled her. “Fine.” Sweetie Belle squealed in delight. Discord walked over. “Awww, isn’t that sweet. Now,” Discord pulled out a wallet from…out of nowhere. “How much do you want?” Rarity held up a hoof. “That won’t be necessary.” “But I insist.” Discord said, giving her a pleading look. “I have to repay you for this. My honor depends on it.” “Your honor?” Rarity quirked an eyebrow. “I have honor.” Discord said. “Why I have more honor in one talon then most creatures have in their entire body. Why, I have lived my whole life with a sense of honor.” Discord kneeled and took her hoof in his lion paw. “And I couldn’t live with myself if I just took advantage of such a beautiful mare.” His voice had taken on the charm of a bachelor. Rarity couldn’t help but blush. ‘Who could ever think that he could be so…alluring?’ “Please,” He trailed a talon along her cheek. “Let me make it up to you.” “Discord,” Rarity was at a loss for words. Sweetie Belle was hiding behind a curtain, unwilling to watch such a ‘gross’ scene. (Remember kids, adults sometimes do icky things!) Discord placed a talon on her lips. “There’s no need to speak.” He told her. “Close your eyes.” Rarity did as he asked. Soon enough, her lips were captured in a deep and fiery kiss. She couldn’t believe it. Discord, that annoying rogue, was kissing her. She’d be lying if she said she hated it. She also felt something being placed in her hoof. Then, he stopped. “Oh, Discord. That was absolutely…” She opened her eyes to find him gone. In her hoof was a rock with the words, ‘Tom Jr.’ on it. ‘How… he… dared to…’ She deeply scowled. “HORRID!”
